FuzzyPlum 01-16-2016 07:49 PM

Empire State, Teen Beat, Make Me a Mask
Honourable mention: Thats Enough For Me

sorcerer999 01-16-2016 08:09 PM

"Empire State". Barf.

haleyd 01-16-2016 08:40 PM

Family Man. That was easy! Lol

HomerMcvie 01-16-2016 09:13 PM

Not That Funny.

Macfan4life 01-16-2016 09:15 PM

Caroline
Computer programmed crap

She's so cagey
She's so stagey
Cut the cord on the mountain top

I feel that way about most of his songs on Tango. Big Love included.

Mirage as an album, sounds far better than Tango, because at least it sounds like a band playing!

KenB 01-16-2016 09:48 PM

My Little Demon. Family Man. Make Me a Mask. Not That Funny.

DauphineMarie 01-16-2016 10:03 PM

Family Man :distress:
Not That Funny
The Ledge

mitzo 01-16-2016 10:40 PM

I am struggling here to think of one that is not godawful.

Dreamz19 01-16-2016 11:59 PM

I like some of the ones listed.

The only Lindsey songs I always skip are

Oh Diane
That's Enough For Me

pattyfan 01-17-2016 01:40 AM

That's All for Everyone, Not That Funny, What Makes You Think You're the One, Oh Diane, Caroline, Murrow Turning Over in His Grave, Miranda, Red Rover, and the worst...Family Man.

But I like or love or can at least tolerate everything else. :)

Kevin

AncientQueen 01-17-2016 06:24 AM

FAMILY MAN!

Bleed to love her (my ears WERE bleeding)
So Afraid (sorry but wtf is that song)
Everthing but the title track from TITN, Big Love was only saved on The Dance

sue 01-17-2016 07:31 AM

Big love.
Come.
So Afraid
and the way its performed nowadays.....Never going back again.

The Highwayman 01-17-2016 08:07 AM

Wow, Make Me a Mask? I hope I'm not the only one who loves that song.

I'd say Family Man, though it ain't that bad really.
I also agree about Empire State and would also add Diane.

SisterNightroad 01-17-2016 08:16 AM

I'm hesitant between Family Man and Empire State. Maybe the latter.

cheappd 01-17-2016 10:08 AM

Not That Funny...not that good. Except for On With The Show, Lindsey has insisted on performing that song on every recent tour.

Ted57 01-17-2016 11:36 AM

Make Me A Mask
Caroline
Oh Diane

I love Not That Funny, especially the extended live versions of the Tusk and Mirage tours.

Empire State.

Family Man has some really nice acoustic playing.

I agree. The guitar solos save the song.

KarmaContestant 01-17-2016 07:09 PM

Save Me A Place

I'm a big fan of quirky Lindsey - stuff like Empire State, Teen Beat, Family Man - I love it. What I don't care for is the whiny, pitiful side of Lindsey. The version of Save Me A Place on the Alternate Tusk from the new box set is great, though.

So you like the song or you don't like the song? Wouldn't the alternate version still be whiny and pitiful?

No. They are completely different vocals and instrumentation. Production is everything. I don't like what ended up on Tusk - it takes about 5 seconds for me to reach for the 'next' button.

Dreamz19 01-18-2016 05:29 PM

I must be one of the few people who love Family Man and Empire State. Those songs are always on dislike lists.

shackin'up 01-18-2016 06:18 PM

Oh Diane.
Or Caroline.

Family Man is a turd in a golden nest. It's embedded in pure guitarbeauty.

I adore Empire State.

Lee 01-18-2016 06:49 PM

Now I don't have all his solo stuff, but I really dislike the Family Man. And oh yeah, Come, I skip that all the time. Some of the ones mentioned, I just can't believe. To each his own I guess, but I really like Big Love & I'm So Afraid. The guitar alone on I'm So Afraid is awesome, I think. Seeing it live is really better.

Lee :)

KenshiMaster16 01-18-2016 06:52 PM

A tie between Empire State (just don't like it) and Oh Diane (not fit to be a Mac song).

I LOVE Empire State, too. I can't even explain why. I just do.

It reminds me very much of Lindsey's Go Insane album, which was a favorite of mine after I discovered it in my teen years.

michelej1 01-18-2016 10:41 PM

Yes, I didn't know that Empire State was considered bottom of the pile. I'm fine with it.

As for Family Man, I am a a lyric person. I can get past lyrics, but doing so is the exception for me, not the rule.

Or, I can embrace a song that has very sparse or trite lyrics, if they're sung passionately. But I can rarely just focus on the music and find the lyrics or singing secondary. Michele

Can't Go Back

Wdm6789 01-19-2016 04:50 AM

Oh Diane. This song was just a waste of space on Mirage.

landslide95 01-19-2016 07:17 AM

I honestly love Liddy B but I am having a hard time choosing because there are so many :sorry: that being said, his best work was Fleetwood Mac - Tusk. His work went downhill after that with the Mac. Out of the Cradle was amazing to me so that break from the Mac did him good.

jbrownsjr 01-19-2016 07:51 PM

My Little Demon

secondhandchain 01-19-2016 10:50 PM

Oh Diane
That's enough for me (because of the yeah yeahs)

I actually love the weird harmonies on Empire state and think the song is pretty cool.

GypsySorcerer 01-20-2016 10:35 AM

Empire State.

Family Man and Caroline have lazy lyrics, but they're ok musically.

sanders8323 01-20-2016 01:01 PM

Oh his worst is definitely Oh Diane, but I still like it.

I'm glad some people like that song, but the last few times I've seen FM in concert and Lindsey launches into Not That Funny, I keep looking at my watch, wondering when it will be over. And he drags out the song to its maximum length.

right. almost 2 minutes!! ;)

it's a great punkish song, and i love almost every single very different version of it. on the record and live.

it's definitely not worst song lol, far from it, but i understand why some FM fans don't like it.
