Tusk Deluxe on YouTube

Has this been reported already? Warner Bros. posted the entire reissue on YouTube, including the live show.

does this not smack of the original album being played in its entirety on the radio??

bombaysaffires 12-05-2015 11:09 PM

curiously, the youtube for Angel credits the writing to Stevie and Bob Welch

I thought about that too, but Fleetwood Mac is a legacy artist now so it's all about repackaging the old stuff for a few extra bucks. Granted, there is some "new" material here, but it's not anything that the general public is dying to hear, like Adele or Taylor Swift. There is such low overhead with reissues and retrospectives so releasing this at all is just gravy for the record label and everyone else involved.

It's bit of a spoiler alert, but I couldn't resist hearing some of the live stuff.
I just love the sound of the band when it was just them on stage. There is such undefinable aura to their chemistry.

I understand how some bands evolve as they get older; they sometimes add musicians for various reasons: to approximate the sound studio recordings, compensate for particular deficiencies, or just to beef up their sound.

The current Mac has found a discrete balance with all extra players. In that blend they still sound like themselves. But these performances from yesteryear remind us that they were a force to be reckoned with when they were doing all by themselves.

I bet it's a mixup because Bob Welch also wrote a song called Angel which was on Heroes are Hard to Find. That has got to be it, right? :)

The line-up with Bob Welch also had a song named 'Angel', so probe;y mixed up.

SisterNightroad 12-06-2015 08:08 AM

I was waiting for this.

An obvious mistake for sure. Unusual for a band to have two different songs of the same name. But Fleetwood Mac is an unusual band.

Apart from 'Angel', there are two other songs that FM recorded 'twice':
Coming home (on Mr. Wonderful (an Elmore James song) & HAHTF (by Bob Welch))
Without you (a Danny Kirwan song from '68 & the Stevie Nicks song from 2012)

I don't believe that Warner Bros posted the Tusk reissue because #FleetwoodMac is not an official Fleetwood Mac YouTube channel. A fan most likely posted these.

The hashtag in front of the artists name actually do indicate the legitimate YouTube music channel :-)

I just was wondering about that.If the channel is legit. I'm just shocked seeing them doing it.

This videos are copyrighted so that we can't download them illegally with a youtube-mp3 converter even if we try, or at least that's true for most of them.
However this channel isn't property of Warner Bros, it's a channel automatically generated by YouTube's video discovery system.

SisterNightroad 12-15-2015 02:24 PM

Now I can't listen to any song anymore.
