Stevie and Lindsey reprised their happy bday performance before Landslide, this time accompanied by the great Dublin crowd, the whole arena singing with them!

it sounded great, hopefully Christine heard it behind the stage (apparently Stevie and Lindsey are too dense to realize singing happy bday to someone who cannot hear them is not that effective). 15000 people wishing you happy bday must be pretty special!

Apparently before they both move to San Jose, a trip to live in Ireland and sing there together is in order. And Linds is getting ready for the post-FM convention game with Stevie. :D

We also sang it to her before she started Songbird, I think she appreciated it! :nod:

It was right before landslide. I have it on video as well, I'll try to upload it on YouTube when I get back in Amsterdam tonight.

yes looks like they implied this is a good prep for once FM disbands so they can do conventions, bar mitzvahs, birthdays and such, i guess since they are kind of people that never want to stop performing.

maybe there's gonna be back to the steakhouses career for BN after all!! ;) :lol:

And yeah, it cracks me up! In 2013, their go-to post-FM career together was as comedians. Guess they had a chat and decided the convention circuit would be better. Stevie's stuck on street corners as always. Pretty sure she was saying that about singing in Paris in 2009 too, when she intro'd Landslide. Thankfully the 'always lovely' Lindsey decided they could all go perform though so as to save her from that fate. :laugh:

Thanks Elle, unfortunately I don't have any videos of us singing Happy Birthday. We did it twice, right before Songbird and also when she joined the stage again after Landslide and NGBA. Stevie was acting like a artistic leader (don't know if I say this right...), waving with her fingers to make sure we sung it the right way. It was spontaneous and funny!

come on guys, give us some nice descriptions! you are just vetting our appetite to hear more with these tidbits!

what happened when Chris came back on stage after NGBA, how the singing started, what did Chris do, did the rest of the band join the audience in singing happy bday Chris?

and then before Songbird: was Chris the only one on stage, or her and LB, did LB join in with the audience, how did Chris react, did she say anything, etc etc?

Anyway, when Chris, John and Mick came back onstage after NGBA the crowd started to sing Happy Birthday to Chris. Stevie walked to the front of the stage, Chris' side, and started waving her hands like a conductor (thanks Elle!). I couldn't see if she sung along with us, maybe she did, but I was on Lindsey's side of the stage and I was focused on Chris' face and Stevie's hands. Lindsey kept himself busy with his guitar, John grabbed his bass and Mick took place behind his drums. I didn't see them sing along as well, but again, I wasn't really looking at them...

Right before Songbird, when she took place behind her piano we started singing Happy Birthday again and she turned to face the crowd and patiently waited until it was over. Lindsey was onstage as well and all ready to play Songbird. I think Chris even thanked us after singing :nod: But I can't remember her exact words anymore. Or maybe she thanked us after the first time we sung it...

I'll try to remember more details next time :)

Here's a video from the singing right before Songbird, I thought the whole arena was singing HBD but by the sound of it it was only the people near the stage. You can't really hear the singing, but you can hear Chris telling us we sing better than the band :laugh:
