Isle Of Wight 2015 on Sky Arts
Hello All,
Provided they actually make it to the stage on Sunday, there will be a small amount of coverage on Sky Arts - it seems there will be two episodes of 'highlights' from this year's festival, with the first part broadcast on Saturday the 20th of June: http://www.radiotimes.com/episode/dn...-1---episode-1 Frankly, it doesn't sound like we'll be getting much - 2-3 songs is my guess - but at least the Mac are listed. Unfortunately, this festival never gets the blanket coverage that the BBC gives to Glastonbury each year. Lets all hope for a DVD... Oh, and episode two is on Sunday 21st. |

Can somebody record this please .Thanks in advance.

I'm increasingly thinking they are going to properly film the Isle of Wight performance and put it out on DVD. Fingers crossed.
They could have done Glastonbury but that's got blanket coverage. They know there will be demand for an Isle of Wight performance DVD as its been hyped up and few people would have the opportunity to see it due to the limited TV coverage. There's a good chance Christine's voice is giving her problems but I reckon they are being overly precautious because they know the festival gig has a lot riding on it. If that's the case then its harsh on the Birmingham and Manchester ticket holders. On a side note, I'm thinking ahead- I paid way over the face value through a ticket exchange website for the O2, 22nd June. I paid via debit card rather than credit card. If a show is cancelled can I get a full refund or only the face value? thanks |
I thought that they didn't go to Glastonbury because of insecurities. They have no control about how they look or sound if the BBC covers the show.

Anyway, their insecurities about filming are a little bit redundant these days- now that fans film so much themselves on their phones. Everything's out there on the interweb, warts and all. |

Coverage of the festival on Absolute Radio; http://absoluteradio.co.uk/schedule/ |
Well I've somehow managed to record Absolute radio from 8:55 - 10:55 tonight on my TV so I'll be able to listen to their whole set hopefully! I'll let people know the setlist as soon as I hear it. :)

Looks like festival organizer has taken matters in to his own hands by locking the band in a large trunk and will personally guaranty the bands arrival by wheeling them on stage himself... http://i1361.photobucket.com/albums/...psb47c5b3b.png And yes Stevie insisted on her own trunk...Why??? http://i1361.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3nlrag9t.jpg Because her trunk contains a magical kingdom quite like "Narnia" |

I'm pretty sure they'll just air the whole thing. Apparently they're being interviewed in a minute on Absolute radio, fingers crossed!

Tbh I'm glad the band is getting this negative publicity - the should never have booked the dates in the first place and take the fans for granted.
Shame I can't hear the set on Absolute Radio though. |

[So is Landslide going to be dedicated to the Spice Girls??]
Mirror.Co.UK 16:42, 14 June 2015 By Rebecca Pocklington http://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrit...travel-5882020 Geri Halliwell and Christian Horner travel to Isle of Wight festival by HELICOPTER for Fleetwood Mac performance Geri Halliwell and Christian Horner know how to travel in style, and the pair arrived at the Isle of Wight festival today in a HELICOPTER. Yes, the very same festival which became a washout on Friday and left the crowd in enough mud to sink a ship. The former Spice Girl is following in Emma Bunton and Mel C's footsteps after they were snapped together at the festival yesterday, and joined her hubby for a luxury trip there. Arriving just in time for Fleetwood Mac's closing performance tonight, the pair posed happily outside their helicopter - without an inch of mud in sight. She captioned the photo: "On our way to Isle of Wight festival." Geri looked amazing in a short patterned dress and long brown boots, wearing her shades and optimistically preparing for sun. Meanwhile Christian wore jeans and a navy shirt next to his wife - we hope someone warned them of the conditions inside. It was a wash out on Friday as fans were left wading through puddles to watch their favourite acts, but the festival underwent quite the transformation yesterday - and long may it last. More than 50,000 people have travelled across the Solent to enjoy the Isle of Wight Festival which last night had rain-soaked performances by The Black Keys and The Prodigy. Amongst the chart acts to entertain the crowds during the sunny afternoon were James Bay, who sang his hit Hold Back The River, and Jessie Ware. Kool And The Gang entertained the crowds with hits Jungle Boogie and Ladies Night. 16:42, 14 June 2015 By Rebecca Pocklington |

Wow. Stevie looks incredible.

Of course, it perfectly plausible Christine's voice genuinely wasn't well enough. I don't wish them negative publicity but I do hope they are fully aware of how many people are genuinely upset (not just pi**ed off). |
