Tough one to miss considering it's literally only the two of them on the track.

AncientQueen 06-07-2015 04:37 AM

ARGHHHH: Not available in Germany because of the usual GEMA conflict.

Damn, someone please finally burn down GEMA and everything associated and throw the ashes into hell.

His voice is in the background, I hardly ever listen to Lindsey and I don't even like the song. So yeah, easy to miss for me. :-P I just figured it was one of the random dudes from her duet repertoire.

Come on guys, I'm not including Live or demo songs. And that's all they would let me add to the long song

nicepace 06-07-2015 07:37 AM

"Come Softly to Me" by Bob Welch & Christine McVie. I always got a giggle out of this one, since the original was done by The Fleetwoods.

To be fair, there was only one live song and one demo.

1. Rick Vito wasn't on "Blue Denim." The guitars on that were done by Andy Fairweather-Low, Michael Campbell, Bernie Leadon, and Waddy Watchell. ETA: Desiree would have been a very good choice. So to would have been Intuition (a song criminally left off "Behind The Mask").

2. Mick Fleetwood played drums on "it Ain't Over" (just FYI).

3. Aynsley Dunbar played drums on "The Supernatural," not Mick Fleetwood.

Only You (Danny Kirwan and Bob Weston)

PenguinHead 06-08-2015 12:46 AM

An overlooked favorite of mine -- Roll With Me Henry: Christine, with Rick, Billy and Mick. It's essentially a Fleetwood Mac track.

This is such a enjoyable thread!

John is on it, too. All but Stevie. I almost mentioned it, but I consider that a Fleetwood Mac song.

Thanks for this. I made the same mistakes. I love Aynsley Dunbar's work.

Yeah, I should have known about The Supernatural. I actually own the disc.

But you can still use it in your compilation because Peter Green and John McVie are on it.

FWIW, I bet Mick played it more than Aynsley.

To be fair, I didn't mention "Blue Denim." My only oversight was forgetting Mick was on IAO. Easy to do, considering how amazing Billy and Christine sound together.

aleuzzi 06-09-2015 10:15 PM

And also to be fair, I thought Rick Vito played in Blue Denim because a) the guitar work sounds like his and b) he is playing the guitar for it on the promotional video of the song.

Street Angel is the only Stevie album I don't own, though based on the video, I simply assumed Rick Vito played on it.
