If Stevie had a sex change, what would her name be?

Having a sex change seems to be all the rage thanks to Bruce Jenner. Now I know a bunch female names Stevie likes but what do you think she would call herself as a man?

Stevie Nicks:shrug:

Stevie is already considered a male name by many, which is why earlier reviewers thought Stevie was the man and Lindsey the female.

Remember when Mick used to call her "Stephanie" during the band intros like her father did? He doesn't do that anymore and I wonder why. After one concert, someone said they thought they saw her mouthing "Stevie" to him. I wonder if she feels, "only my dad called me Stephanie and now he's gone ..."

Stephen ,Steve or Steven more likely. Lindsey will stay the same if Lindsey has one.The spelling my stay the same or it would be Lindsay.

But do people really think that "Lindsay" is the feminine version, like Sean and Shawn?

Chastity became Chaz.

I remember in the days people get their names confused Stevie is a man and Lindsey is a woman.

michelej1 06-01-2015 06:20 PM

Nowadays, people would even name their daughters Stephen, so it doesn't really matter, anymore.

Didn't Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively name their daughter James?

And Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis named their daughter Wyatt.

The funny thing about Bruce Jenner's name change is that Kris Jenner named all of her kids with "K" and her ex has the "K" sound now, although she spells it Caitland.

Yea more likely .We also have Gene or Jean which was my moms middle name.Chaz kept his name close to his old name.

I have no idea what a girls name the goes with Bruce.Maybe he can pick a first name that begins with a K to go with the rest of the family.

Jenner already picked "Caitland." She is on the cover of Vanity Fair today.

"All the rage"? You make it sound like gender reassignment is merely a fashionable whim that comes and goes in and out of season.

Gender identity/confusion is a lot more deep rooted than that.

Why Caitlyn Jenner’s Name Doesn’t Start With a ‘K’

Charlotte Alter @charlottealter

It was the "media associations"

When Caitlyn Jenner debuted her new name and look on the cover of Vanity Fair this week, the first thing everyone said was “wow!” The second thing everyone said was “why didn’t she spell Caitlyn with a K?”

It turns out that was on purpose. Jenner told Vanity Fair she was weighing names like Heather and Cathy, but Caitlyn kept popping into her mind. When her assistant independently suggested Caitlyn as well, Jenner said, “I love that name, too!” and that settled it.

But how should it be spelled — a C or a K, to keep up with his brood of daughters? Jenner “went back and forth about how it would be spelled,” Vanity Fair reports, only to decide to “break tradition, and the media associations that went with it” and settle on Caitlyn with a C.

Jenner came out as a transgender woman in a Diane Sawyer interview in April, but didn’t reveal her new name until the magazine cover was unveiled Monday.

I remember one intro to Landslide where Stevie pretended to fume because her girlfriend, Stevie's friend, had named her daughters "Lindsey" and "Christine."
