Stevie's backstage demands

From smoking gun:
"Looks like Stevie Nicks spent too much time with that slobby Mick Fleetwood. Because we do not think the Remy Martin folks intended for their fine cognac to be swilled from plastic cups."

I believe this is from the Whole Lotta Trouble Tour 1991

Fair play to her- her rider is fairly standard and tame really.
Its very interesting looking at some of the other artists though- there's a heck of a lot of diva-dome out there. Tom Petty's backstage rider is 6 pages long- even longer than the Rolling Stones.

Thanks for posting those. I couldn't read the 2nd one, but even just reading the first one gave me a lot of new info. I had no idea that bands had riders like this. Now I really want to see Tom Petty's. He does not strike me as a diva at all, but 18 pages says different. :)

I've seen this before.

On my rider. There better be a truck load of Sunny Delight and soda pop on hand.LOL....

sorcerer999 03-04-2015 11:21 AM

No Evian please! Only Fiji!!!

It also cracked me up that whoever wrote this had to explain what the carton of unsweetened Silk soy milk looks like...most likely because someone got it wrong in the past!

wheart 03-04-2015 12:25 PM

I love this kind of stuff. I worked as runner for a local performing arts center when I lived in FL and I was the one who had to run all over God's creation picking up this and that. It was not fun but I did get to see the shows for free from the backstage vantage point, which was amazing.

Interesting, and kinda not surprising that Stevie has her own requirements. They're awfully tame…

NO this isn't from from the pre-tour rehearsals, it's the CURRENT TOUR RIDER as stated in the heading of my post. Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section, I just thought it went along with the thread

Macfanforever 03-04-2015 06:26 PM

The food section in the Mac rider is making me hungry .I got to have butter on my potato's and veges.

I agree with no salt added.I love Coke and Zero is pretty good too.

Its time for supper.LOL.......................................................

michelej1 03-04-2015 06:28 PM

Get out of here with that Evian!

DR stands for "Dressing Room," not "Dress Rehearsal."

I met someone at a club in LA and on the way back to his place he said he worked for Stevie at one of those award shows. The Grammy's or American music or something like that. He showed me two selfies of himself with her in the back ground so I guess his story was ligit. His job was to accommodate their back stage living area. Dressing rooms and such. He mostly talked to her personal assistant, but he did meet Stevie. He said she was very laid back and super easy to accommodate.
He was good in the sack, but his place was so damn messy. Plus LA was too far from where I lived and his job ment that he traveled a lot. He wanted to see me again, but was just a one hit wonder.

All the names colors except a report in to see if the contract is actually being read
Van Halen started the whole thing with the brown M&Ms. then again they are a spoiled rotten rockstars and want to be treated as such

I prefer Fiji water myself and I always stock up when it is on sale, but I admit if you put me to a taste test, I probably would not know the difference.

I once had some bad water by Nestle and I avoid that brand, but most of the time Evian, Dasani, Fiji ... my tongue probably cannot differentiate at all.

I'll drink anything but Nestlé water. It's always bad.

PenguinHead 03-06-2015 08:33 PM

I can't imagine the effort someone has to make to meet all those accommodations. Is that someone a staff employee of each venue?

I can only imagine the waste of all the unused/leftover product.

ahhh….. thanks!

As for no Evian, some bottled waters have more mineral content than others. High mineral content can clog up devices like humidifiers and such. Maybe she uses some kind of health device (humidifier, vaporizer, etc) or cosmetic device, or an appliance (clothes steamer, iron..?) that requires water and Evian causes too much mineral build up.

Or maybe she's just fussy.

Because I drink bottled water throughout my work day and have for 14 years, I pretty much have tried them all and I can tell the difference between the brands. My current fave that I have been drinking for the last 2 years is Aqua Fina. I used to love Fiji water, Michele, but the last 2 times I drank it, it tasted like mild chlorine. I accidentally discovered a bottled spring water the last time I drove across country, in Oklahoma. It was based out of that state and I wish I could remember its name but I can't because it is not sold east of Illionis. That was the BEST tasting bottled water I have ever had in my life. It is bottled by the same company who sells Poland Springs and they tried to convince me once to buy their water claiming it was the exact same thing but I knew better.

olive 03-07-2015 12:39 PM

for all you plastic water bottle people ( especially if you reuse them )

jkmaletic 03-07-2015 02:51 PM

I definitely can tell differences in bottled water taste, probably because I've been drinking it so long.
My personal favorite is Dasani. I like Fiji a lot, but it's way too expensive. The only one I really dislike though is Evian - I think it tastes like dirt.

So Stevie's still on the rotisserie chicken, huh? LOL I remember seeing it on the counter in the DR documentary during the infamous singing fish scene. Her diet is pretty strict. Wonder if she ever gets sick of it?

I just found the name of the bottled water I love more than life itself. It is called OZARKA, and is only available in about six states. I have never tasted any other bottled water that even comes close to this stuff. 8 years ago when I called the company they refused to ship it to me. They told me to buy Poland Springs, stating it was the same thing. NO IT IS NOT!!!!

I am going to try to find it. I went to a place in San Francisco once that served 30 different kinds of water. And for the price that some of them were at, you'd think it was wine.

Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Nebraska & Illionis are the lucky states I believe.

I was recently in San Francisco and my sister didn't want to do laundry for me everyday. "We're having a water shortage in this area, you know," she said to me.

You can get it on Amazon.

Now, I hope that all members of FM don't have to split those towels between them, because that's not a lot per person. They should increase the ticket prices to afford more towels. Or maybe fans can bring towels to them from home.

I find it ODD that people PAY money to drink tap water that is filtered ( dasani) at least with fiji and evian they are sourced from untouched spring water, in otherwords someone did take piss in it the day before, flush the toilet and was processed at the local water sewage treatment plant, bottled by pepsi and sold to you!! Might as well buy a Brita water filter and drink from your tap. Exact same difference. keep in mind though, A filter will take out many of the chlorides and ect etc from tap water but filtering water CANNOT remove the pharmacuticals that have been pissed out of people ( or flushed) ! I will never understand people.

From ...www.dasani.com/
"A delicious way to add refreshment to your day, DASANI® Sparkling is ... In designing DASANI to be the best tasting water, we start with the local water supply..."

I remember watching a 1980's ABC 20/20 report about the same thing back then. I drink soda and milk from plastic bottles every day.

I tried Cherry Coke.It was OK.I cant drink Pepsi because it bothers my stomach.

I'm glad to see a more current Rider then the one on the Smokinggun site.

I see that Stevie is regular Coke fan.Sorry 2 cans of Coke is not enough.24 pack would be good.

I bring my own bath towels.Who knows if the venue towels been washed.

The second page was to out of focus to read but I could make some of it out.

Pepsi is awful! Another one I enjoy is Royal Crown cola.
