Law and Order poll
This board has been quiet lately, so I wanted to liven it up with some polls, building on Elle's post about favorite songs on each album. First is Law and Order. Since there's only 10 options allowed, I had to eliminate a song. I chose It Was You (edit- whoops, meant It Was I), since, when looking back at past results/comments, that seemed to have the fewest favorites. So vote up to three of your favorite Law and Order songs!
|
For my three, I went with That's How We Do It in LA, Love from Here, Love from There, and A Satisfied Mind. I also love I'll Tell You Now and Bwana. I'm one of the rare ones whose favorite Lindsey album is L&O.

Ha, I was going to make "It Was You" one of my songs!

I think Elle made a mistake and wanted to vote for Trouble.

In this order:
1. Shadow of the West 2. Bwana 3. Trouble When I read the poll it asked me to pick the ones I liked. When I read the comments I see you were only requesting three. |

you know well how it pains me to see all these votes for Trouble. feels like what i'm hearing in his music is on a whole another planet from you all. Quote:
even when you specify how many choices peeps should check right upfront, many just don't see it or disregard it... so no big deal! |

And I'm happy to put this together! I always look through the older posts and it seems there used to be a lot more polls. Quote:

My picks are Trouble, That's How We Do it in LA and Love from Here, Love from There.
Honors for Johnny Stew and Bwana. I had trouble with this album when it was released (especially in comparison to Stevie's Bella Donna). But time has cast it's spell on me; I appreciate it much more now, as I've grown to understand and appreciate Lindsey's eccentricities. |
Top 3!
Bwana - Lindsey's vocals on this and Time Bomb Town are the weirdest things EVER. LOL I like that he does that on certain songs. Bwana's lyrics and those vocals are a perfect union.
Shadow of the West - The atmosphere of this song is so dreamy and makes me think of the Old West and a cowboy on his horse out in the boonies in Arizona. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this song. Johnny Stew - The guitar just rips your face off. Such a fun, crazy song written for an awesome fellow friend and musician. :) |
For whatever reason, I totally overlook this album in regards to playing music around the house. I guess it's just never reached out to me like most of Lindsey's other albums have. That being said, there's some good stuff present.
Bwana: Fun, snarky little song. I don't know why, but I love it when Lindsey digs at Mick in his songs. Trouble: Obviously this is one of the best, easiest listening pop songs Lindsey ever created. I'll Tell You Now: I'm not really sure why I love this one so much, but I always have. It's got a great atmosphere, and a fantastic throw back sound to it. |
