update from my friend who works for A.P.

I'm deep in Fleetwood Mac mode this week, as the embargo is finally coming off my interview with Christine and Lindsey from last month, and I finally can put it together and get it out. Can't say much about it 'til AP moves the feature Friday 10 a.m. (I'll post link to the video), except that "Warm Ways" could apply to the way McVie and Buckingham treated each other during the 15 minutes or so we spoke: kind, respectful, funny -- like the best of siblings. They clearly cherish their personal as much as their magical musical relationship.
One other thing, for fans only: Buckingham laughed when I told him I was still Jonesing for a legal digital (does ANYBODY, besides me, collect CDs anymore?) release of the 1973 "Buckingham Nicks" album.
Why so friggin' long?
"That's just Stevie and me still trying to figure it out," he confessed. — with Fleetwood Mac and 2 others at 20th Century Fox.

I'm looking forward to this video. I don't know what's gotten into Chris & Lindsey, but whatever it is, I like it.:)

I think they are just exploring their muses. It's always been there and I can't wait to hear the work they created last spring. I have a feeling it's going to be fabulous!! Those two have amazing chemistry.

I can't see it. It says this video is not available in your country. I'm in the U.S.

Youtube just "informed" me it's blocked in some countries because there's a clip of Landslide (The Dance) during the interview so WMG blocks it.

This is excellent, thank you for sharing. I could spend all day watching rehearsal footage and listening to CM and LB chat--I so enjoy the two of them together.

Thank you, Danielle!

Is anyone else having trouble downloading it? I tried three different media players, and they all say they couldn't play the file.

I didn't have any problems. It plays fine for me in Windows Media Player & Windows Media Center.

Thanks! I deleted the file and re-downloaded. Worked just fine the second time around, so I'm not sure what the issue was.

It's so ridiculous the saga just goes on an on. What is it that Lindsey and Stevie are trying to figure out?

Remaster the album, repackage it with bonus tracks (at least the single mixes) liner notes/essays and a few rare photos. I recognize that this is not so simple, but why does it have to be so complicated?

Yes, like many others, I still buy and collect CDs and well as Vinyl. They have an existence and a soul that digital media can't ever replicate. There's the tactile and visual element that makes you feel more connected to the artist and the music. Digital media is convenient but so easily disposable.

If Stevie's new album was released just in digital form, it wouldn't have significant impact. Fleetwood Mac's digital EP, and Lindsey's digital live album are easily overlooked and forgotten. I burned both of them on CDs, but without artwork, photos or information, they just seem insignificant and faceless.

i know! i was watching this, and thinking back of what the person who interviewed them said how they were actually behaving - and also thinking back on yesterday's today show and how he behaved off camera vs on.

so the person who interviewed Lindsey and Chris couldn't stop gushing how lovely and nice Lindsey was, and how the 2 of them have such warm relationship. same as Today show footage, you see none of that when you watch what was recorded on camera. too bad!!

thanks so much for sharing!

Fleetwood Mac perform live with Christine McVie

Fleetwood Mac performed on the Today show and said they were "overjoyed" to welcome back Christine McVie after a 16 year absence

Fleetwood Mac’s classic line-up appeared on the Today show to celebrate the return of Christine McVie, 16 years after she left the band.

The group appeared on the Today show in the US, with keyboard player McVie kicking off their performance by singing Little Lies.

The 71-year-old has been mostly absent from the band since 1998, after deciding she wanted to spend more time at home in Britain. A fear of flying meant she hated touring.

Speaking on the show, singer Stevie Nicks said: “It’s almost hard to really believe that she actually ever left.

“I hear a count-off in songs and it’s almost like the 16 years she was gone didn’t exist.

“We didn’t really know what to expect when she came back, and she came back stronger than all of us.”

Mick Fleetwood said: “All of us are just overjoyed at this lovely lady’s return to the ranks of Fleetwood Mac.”

The line-up includes Christine’s former husband, John McVie. The couple divorced in 1976.

She recently described her return to Fleetwood Mac as “the most profound experience of my entire life”.

During their appearance on the Today show, the band announced they were adding at least 28 more dates to their current On With The Show tour.
