Your dream On With The Show setlist
Hi everyone,
I like the set list for this tour. I know they feel compelled to play the hits. If you could hire Fleetwood Mac for a private show what 25 songs would you have them play this tour. 25 songs only. Here is my dream set list: Chain You make loving fun Straight back Why Storms Crystal Love in store Everybody finds out Brown eyes Spare me a little Tango in the night Just crazy love Silver springs Everywhere Second hand news Oh Daddy Landslide Wish you were here Go your own way Isn't it midnight Nights in Estoril Over and over Beautiful child Save me a place Don't Stop |
Tusk in it's entirety,
+ Go Your Own Way Why Love in Store Oh Well And ofcourse a new, buckinghamproduced FM song from Stevie Nicks, including threeway harmonies. |
I had never heard of "Nights in Estoril." Good GRIEF, that's a beautiful song...and Christine's voice! Does Lindsey sing on it?

Here is the song. It would be a killer live. Romantic but rocking. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CYQh2IZgi8I |
Well, I was thinking about how the setlist could be improved, since that is fun for me. Maybe a part of me wishes I was part of the band's management and could make suggestions. I think Over My Head is fine, but really should move to much earlier in the set. Toward the end, it takes out a lot of the momentum. It's probably too late now, but they could have spoken before Over My Head and said they wanted to take us through their albums together. Over My Head was the first single--thus, that would mark the beginning of this musical journey, starting with the White Album. This is what I came up with...maybe it would change up the pacing for the better? For my own dream setlist, it would be quite different than this, which is just playing around with what they already have.
Chain You Make Loving Fun Dreams Second Hand News -- Over My Head Rhiannon I'm So Afraid (Solo) Say You Love Me -- Tusk Beautiful Child (subbing for Sisters of the Moon) Think About Me (they need a song like this...like Little Lies...that's upbeat and gets the three of them singing and feeding off each other) What Makes You Think You're the One (or gruff gruff I Know I'm Not Wrong) -- Gypsy Hold Me (again, this song is needed. It features all three voices...and I think Little Lies is really turning into one of the best songs of this tour, which really gives energy to the show) -- Big Love Everywhere Seven Wonders Little Lies Gold Dust Woman Don't Stop Go Your Own Way -- World Turning Blue Letter Landslide -- Songbird |

I think that set above would do very well with presenting the catalogue of the Nicks-McVie-Buckingham era of FM in a very logical and meaningful way.
I also wonder what ever happened with Brown Eyes. Christine told Darren Haynes it would be included. Very strange it was never rehearsed...or maybe that's just what Mick said? |
I would have made the following changes to the setlist.
The Chain The Chain You Make Loving Fun You Make Loving Fun Dreams Dreams Second Hand News Bleed to Love Her Rhiannon Seven Wonders Everywhere Hold Me I Know I'm Not Wrong I Know I'm Not Wrong Tusk Second Hand News Sisters of the Moon Sisters of the Moon Say You Love Me Say You Love Me Seven Wonders Rhiannon Big Love Never Going Back Again Landslide Over My Head Never Going Back Again Gypsy Over My Head Little Lies Gypsy I'm So Afraid Little Lies Don't Stop Gold Dust Woman Gold Dust Woman I'm So Afraid Go Your Own Way Go Your Own Way Encore World Turning World Turning Don't Stop Say Goodbye Silver Springs Landslide Songbird Silver Springs Songbird I liked their selection being about the 3 part harmony. I just don't find Tusk that great without the USC marching band. Big Love is boring to me. I used Say Goodbye and Bleed to Love Her instead. I don't like Everywhere - and replaced it with Hold Me, which is stellar. And I know it slows down the encore a bit. I don't think Don't Stop should be encore. And I think Landslide is one of their most popular and it should be in the encore. Anyway - I am flexible with moving songs around but other than 3 songs, I loved the set list for this tour. |
The crowd response for the two shows I have seen should solidify no setlist changes. Unless someone decides they can't sing/play something, this is it kids.

i love Bleed to Love Her and it does have some very intricate guitar parts, although nowhere near Big Love. it's definitely more suitable than some other suggestions who want to replace Big Love with Crystal or some such nonsensical change, but if you want to replace it with equivalent piece showcasing LB's incredible guitar skills, there is probably only one song that can come somewhat close to it: https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=756226837772359 (a part of the whole soundcheck video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQjTJeaIQTo ) Don't Stop is huge (thanks to Clinton!), and more so than Landslide, although yeah Landslide and GYOW are getting close. so i'm not really sure how your logic about popularity and encores works. Thank you for the Red Rover video! That was something else...lovely!
I'd also have them doing medleys but they don't seem to like that: Lindsey Tusk Medley: What Makes You Think You're the One/Walk a Thin Line/The Ledge Tribute to Fleetwood Mac: Albatross/Black Magic Woman/Oh Well They need more songs where they're singing together: Think About Me, Angel, Crystal, I Don't Want to Know, Hold Me, etc. |
[QUOTE=shackin'up;1146995]Tusk in it's entirety,
Yes! I would pay these ridiculous ticket prices for this. |
I'd like to hear "Crystal" played live one day. Christine playing a few of her early Mac songs would be cool too. I wonder if she doesn't think those songs are ones to be proud of? I know she's dissed the work she did on the Legendary Christine Perfect Album. When the new album comes out there's even a lesser chance of hearing some of the deep cuts. I'm really just happy they are playing together at all though.
|
Not in order, just the songs I'd love to hear.
Future Games Blue Letter Crystal Dreams The Chain Oh Daddy Gold Dust Woman Over and Over Save Me A Place Storms That’s All For Everyone Angel Brown Eyes Beautiful Child Never Make Me Cry Farmers Daughter Can’t Go Back Gypsy Tango In The Night Little Lies You and I Part 2 Bleed To Love Her Say Goodbye Songbird Landslide |
I'm still going with a 28 song setlist. Of all the recent Fleetwood Mac tours, "On With The Show" certainly warrants a 3 hour show - many other major rock groups do this (it's really only a few more songs, anyways)...
01. The Chain 02. You Make Loving Fun 03. Dreams 04. Second Hand News 05. Rhiannon 06. Think About Me 07. I Know I'm Not Wrong 08. Tusk 09. Sara 10. Say You Love Me 11. Seven Wonders 12. Here's a dream that would be worth everything to see in person. Clearly not gonna happen....29 songs (with medleys)
Tusk (fast 2004 version...not with a slow, angst-ridden open like LB does now for this one and Never Going Back Again) You Make Loving Fun Dreams Second Hand News Hold Me (or Over My Head, if you want to introduce the Rumours band's first ever hit single and begin a musical journey) Angel (or Sara) LB Tusk Medley (shortened length for each one...counts as 1 song): What Makes You Think You're the One/Walk a Thin Line/The Ledge Brown Eyes Beautiful Child Love In Store (OR Say You Love Me--OR--Think About Me, if Sara instead of Angel) ----- ACOUSTIC SET (Choose 1 Lindsey, 1 Chris, with Gypsy and Crystal = 4 total) Big Love Red Rover Oh Daddy Honey Hi Gypsy Crystal ----- Fireflies Fleetwood Mac Peter Green Tribute Medley: Albatross/Black Magic Woman (sung by Christine)/Oh Well Why Rhiannon Isn't It Midnight Tango in the Night (or I'm So Afraid--guitar solo) Little Lies Gold Dust Woman Don't Stop Go Your Own Way ----- Encore 1 Blue Letter Sisters of the Moon ----- Encore 2 The Chain Landslide ----- Encore 3 Songbird |

I really would have liked a few new songs in the set, just two or three. We know Christine and Lindsey have new material they could have played.
|
In no particular order. Hell would freeze over before they did this set.
The Chain Think About Me I don't Wanna Know Dreams Second Hand News Say You Love Me Big Love (full band) Angel Little Lies Never Going Back Again Landslide Hold Me The Ledge Straight Back You Make Loving Fun Gold Dust Woman Go Your Own Way Honey Hi Tusk Sara That's All For Everyone Silver Springs Wish You Were Here or Why as the closer. |
1. Say You Love Me
2. The Chain 3. Gold Dust Woman 4. Tango in the Night 5. Isn't it Midnight? 6. Seven Wonders 7. Dreams 8. Carnival Begin 9. Too Far Gone 10. The Dealer 11. Hold Me 12. Tusk 13. Angel 14. Think About Me 15. Walk a Thin Line 16. Gypsy 17. Little Lies 18. Thrown Down 19. Go Your Own Way 20. Don't Stop 21. Silver Springs 22. Landslide 23. Steal Your Heart Away 24. Songbird |
I'm still not sure about the order of the songs, but it would be something like this:
Heroes Are Hard to Find Blue Letter Dreams Seven Wonders Isn't It Midnight Gold Dust Woman I Know I'm Not Wrong Brown Eyes Rhiannon Tango in the Night Gypsy Heart of Stone Big Love (Full band version) --Acoustic Set-- Illume Save Me a Place Honey Hi Crystal Landslide The Chain I Don't Want to Know Did You Ever Love Me Sara Steal Your Heart Away Little Lies Caroline Storms Frozen Love World Turning Tusk Go Your Own Way Why It's a little long, ha ha. |
For the current set list I would just take out Over my Head and Silver Springs and add Hold Me and Sara in their places and add Blue Letter as an encore.
|
I don't hate the current set but if I was writing one....
Tango in the Night You Make Loving Fun Seven Wonders Big Love (full band) Dreams Over My Head I Don't Want to Know Think About Me Say Goodbye Landslide Walk a Thin Line Gypsy (acoustic) Say You Love Me Hold Me World Turning/solo/band introductions Blue Letter Spare Me a Little Gold Dust Woman Little Lies Tusk Sisters of the Moon I'm So Afraid Go Your Own Way The Chain Silver Springs Songbird |

If it was a private gig and I had free reign then...
Big Love (full band) You Make Loving Fun That’s Alright Bleed To Love Her Why Angel Black Magic Woman (Lindsey on vocals) Oh Well (Stevie on vocals) Need Your Love So Bad (Chris on vocals) Holiday Road Edge of Seventeen Got a Hold on Me Landslide Heroes Are Hard To Find Sentimental Lady (Lindsey, Stevie, Chris sharing vocals) Tango In The Night The Chain Wish You Were Here Rhiannon Go Your Own Way Trinity (including a short Mick Fleetwood drum solo) Gold Dust Woman Tusk Songbird (I'm not sure I could ever see Stevie agreeing to sing the Oh Well lyrics though) |
Do you really think Lindsey has the voice for Black Magic Woman? I like Christine's more sultry, smoother sound.

It doesn't have to be in this order, but-
The Chain Spare Me a Little Second Hand News Rhiannon Brown Eyes That's Alright The Ledge Never Make Me Cry Storms Never Going Back Again (original version, not the slowed down one) Little Lies (wasn't an original choice for me, but it was really good at the concert) I Don't Want to Know That's Enough for Me Love in Store I Know I'm Not Wrong Angel Big Love Why Landslide Tusk Fireflies I'm So Afraid Go Your Own Way World Turning Songbird If I were cheating, I'd add Gold Dust Woman, Sisters of the Moon, and Eyes of the World. |
Need Your Love So Bad!!!
I love the thought of hearing NYLSB live with Christine singing lead! It's one of my favorites and it'd be nice to see an older song brushed off. I wonder why Mick and John don't push for something like this.

Get Like You Used to Be Spare Me a Little Believe Me Why As soon the Rumours era band began to gain momentum, the new songs took the place of the ones that came before, especially because she was on a roll with an impressive string of hits. Christine doesn't seem to have too much of a sentimental attachment to her songs. I love all of her Fleetwood Mac songs circa 1971-1974, as well as her overlooked songs featured on the Time album. |
Well this is a fun game!
The Chain Little Lies Second Hand News Eyes Of The World The Tusk Section: Over And Over Think About Me Sara What Makes You Think You're The One Storms Sisters Of The Moon Beautiful Child The Acoustic Section: Crystal Say Goodbye Go Insane Don't Let Me Down Again I Don't Want To Know Love In Store Bleed to Love Her Gypsy Hold Me Go Your Own Way Encore: Tango In The Night World Turning Encore 2: Goodbye Baby Why |

Too bad Christine can't find something like Crossroads where she could appear without Fleetwood Mac and showcase some of her songs in another setting.

So I totaled this up to see the most wanted songs here (note- I only looked at those in list form [I included the Tusk plus the other 5 entry] and if people put more than one list, I only counted the first one).
Here's the set list the fans want! 1. Go Your Own Way- 14 votes 2. The Chain- 13 3. Landslide- 11 4. Tusk- 11 5. Little Lies-11 6. Gold Dust Woman- 11 7. Songbird- 10 8. Tango in the Night- 9 9. 1. “The Chain” (All)
2. “You Make Loving Fun” (McVie) 3. “Dreams” (Nicks) 4. “Monday Morning” (Buckingham) 5. “Rhiannon” (Nicks) 6. “Everywhere” (McVie) 7. “Not That Funny” (Buckingham) 8. “Tusk” (Buckingham) 9. “Sara” (Nicks) 10. “Think About Me” (McVie) 11. “Seven Wonders” (Nicks) 12. “Hold Me” (McVie) 13. “Big Love” (Buckingham) 14. “Landslide” (Nicks) 15. “Never Going Back Again” (Buckingham) 16. “Say You Love Me” (McVie) 17. “Gypsy” (Nicks) 18. “Eyes of the World” (Buckingham) 19. “Little Lies” (McVie) 20. “Gold Dust Woman” (Nicks) 21. “Go Your Own Way” (Buckingham) First Encore 22. “World Turning” (Buckingham/McVie) 23. “Don’t Stop” (McVie) 24. “Silver Springs” (Nicks) Second Encore 25. “Songbird” (McVie) This is a dream set-list to me -- it gets rid of dreary and/or overlong live tracks like "I'm So Afraid," "Over My Head," and "Sisters of the Moon." Each songwriter has at least one track from all five albums, too -- which I think is a better representative of their work as a whole. Also, I'm dying to hear "Think About Me" and "Hold Me" live. All in all, we've got 8 Rumours tracks, 5 Fleetwood Mac tracks, 4 Tango in the Night tracks, 4 Tusk tracks, 3 Mirage tracks, and 1 unfortunate b-side. |
My crazy "never gonna happen" setlist
If I ever become a billionaire, I would love to pay the band to perform this setlist...and record it!
THE SETLIST 1. Skies The Limit Stevie: Hey ya'all remember "Behind The Mask?" 2. Save Me 3. Freedom 4. Dreams 5. Blue Letter 6. Little Lies 7. Seven Wonders Mick: So yeah we were still rockin in '95! 8. Sooner or Later 9. Talkin' To My Heart 10. Rhiannon Lindsey: Even when we took a break, we never broke the chain... 11. Trouble 12. Got A Hold On Me 13. Stand Back Mick: So yeah, I heard this recording of Lindsey and Stevie.... 14. Frozen Love 15. Monday Morning 16. Crystal 17. Say You Love Me 18. Never Going Back Again 19. Gold Dust Woman 20. Isn't It Midnight 21. Miranda Christine: Here's some nice little ditties I sang before Stevie and Lindsey came onboard 22. Spare Me A Little Of Your Love 23. Come A Little Bit Closer 24. That's Alright Stevie: I listened to Bob's music, and there was a mystical...magical quality, i was drawn to the band 25. Miles Away (Lindsey lead) 26. Silver Springs 27. Go Your Own Way Encore 1: 28. The Chain 29. Sara 31. Songbird Encore 2: 32. Did You Ever Love Me 33. Goodbye Baby |
Something tells me that even if we were billionaires and could afford to book them, the setlist would still ultimately be in the hands of the band. They'd have to rehearse for a month...maybe they'd take 1 or 2 special requests, with a price of course?
