Three songs only!

If there was only three songs to take with you to that desert island what Fleetwood Mac tracks would it be? Only Three! Mine would be,

Tusk
Silver Springs (Studio version)
The Chain

I know this is not easy but try........ Only 3!

Artemis 09-20-2014 08:11 PM

Rhiannon
Silver Springs (original b side)
Beautiful child

Gold dust woman and gypsy would probably fight for contention though

honorable mention: Think About Me

this is actually much easier for me than LB solo. i was never able to pick 3 or even 5 there.

Nice selection!

bethelblues 09-20-2014 09:26 PM

Family Man actually sounds like island music. It'd be very fitting and atmospheric....

I'll give it a go!
  • Rhiannon
  • Go Your Own Way
  • Albatross! It's not my favorite, but I love it, and it's perfect for an island. I play it every time I'm on the coast at sunset.

secondhandchain 09-21-2014 12:45 AM

Since I would not want to live alone on a deserted island and I'd be too chicken to off myself, I would pick "When I see you again". It would give me the courage to smash a coconut over my head.:] "whats a matta baby...what a matta baby" :crash:

sue 09-21-2014 02:25 AM

1. Albatross
2. Angel
3. What makes you think you're the one.

Oh yes. Sara is so beautiful to me. It sounds really nice. The piano is perfect in that song. It hits the ears just right. Even the live versions are amazing.

FuzzyPlum 09-21-2014 05:49 AM

Rattlesnake Shake- live (at 25 minutes long it would alleviate the boredom a little)
Warm Ways (for the desert island sound)
Go Your Own Way (cant ever tire of listening to it)

I would choose one of Lindsey's tunes - practically any of them - if I were in that situation. Most of his tracks from Tusk, for example, induce suicidal ideation.

jkmaletic 09-21-2014 09:48 AM

1. Sara
2. Rhiannon
3. Thrown Down

And as Elle said about LB solo, I too would have a hard time picking 3 SN solo songs.

Absolutely. I could happily listen to that song over and over and over every second of my life forever. It's a crime that it's only 6 minutes. The full 19 minutes should have been the whole of side 1 of Tusk.

I love most of Stevies songs. Just not the ones on that album. I might pick:

Honey hi (for its gorgeous harmonies and ending refrain which is very fitting.)
That's all for Everyone (same reason as above)
Straight back. (I love it and I don't want to bring the hit from any of them because I've heard them so much)

Maybe...

I've been in this situation before, kind of. I was traveling alone in isolated places abroad and had a few go-to FM songs. Actually, I was pretty close to Christine's home in Kent. My most played tracks were, unashamedly:

Dreams
Little Lies
Isn't It Midnight

McLamb 09-21-2014 07:21 PM

Here we go!

Remember Me
Over & Over
Fireflies
