Well, my username has an story...
There's a song of Jamiroquai called "Mr. Moon", and I used that name to write some letters to a girl I really loved. She was my first love, even when then everything went from bad to worse, and nothing happened between us... After that, I used only "moon" for every username, in forums, msn, twitter...my name is Marcos, in english is Mark, but obviously, you can call me simply "moon". Nice thread, interesting stories! Regards! |
the "D" is my last name initial. My last name is Denison.
Since there's no way of knowing spelling when said verbally, back in Jr High (or Middle School as they're known by today) I got the nickname "Chili". Why? THIS: http://i.walmartimages.com/i/p/00/06...15_500X500.jpg And...the rest is history. |
I got my username because I want to be a famous singer someday. (And it'd be so cool if Stevie were a fan of me)
My real name is Leanna. |
It came from a discussion about potential band names many years ago when I was still at school. That potential name; The Fuzzy Plums' always stuck in my head for some reason.
Just terrible at coming up with user names so that was all I could think of. Charles |

I HATE my name here. 11 years ago, I watched a lot of The Simpsons. And Christine is my favorite member. She's still my favorite, but I HATE the Homer part of my name.:distress: |

That looks good for some supper . My mom gave me my name of Skip probably because I loved Skippy peanut butter when I was a tot.I do love peanut butter. |
A rather obvious reference to Stevie's 2nd album/the title track of said album.
|
At the time, I liked Hello Kitty, and I considered myself one of Lady Gaga's Little Monsters. Combine the two, and you get a pretty unoriginal, uninspired username . Couldn't think of anything. I didn't want to use my unique name, for privacy's sake, I am the only person in the US with my first and last name.
Of course I have plenty of username ideas now. |

My name is Louie, and everyone has sung that awful Kingston Trio song Louie Louie to me all my life. The 2000 is in reference to the year I graduated high school.

From 1996 until 2012 I had a female crush on Vivica A. Fox. She even exchanged a few twitter posts with me, but over time my infatuation faded.

Louie, Louie - Richard Berry (Los Angeles, CA)
--->Louie, Louie - The Wailers (Tacoma, WA) --->Louie, Louie - Paul Revere & The Raiders (Kuna, ID) --->Louie, Louie - The Kingsmen (Portland, OR) Also by Richard Berry(and also covered by various NW combos)... Have Love Will Travel Louie, Go Home My ID stands for an anagram of synonyms for Mrs. Gladys Milhouse Lipschitz IV Ret. spelled backwards phonetically in Japanese katakana and then translated back into Danish. :distress: Me gotta go now... |
I chose my username because from 1997 through 2011 I raised St. Bernard dogs. My last Saint, Max, passed on December 12, 2011. There isn't a day goes by that I don't think about and miss every single Saint I've ever had the pleasure of welcoming into my life. I hope to have Saint Bernard's again at some point because I sure do miss them!
Right now, I have a German Shepherd Dog, Fifty who is a rescue. He got his name because a soldier at the local army base found him wandering on the fifty caliber firing range. He tried finding his owners and when he couldn't kept him. In September of 2012 his orders were changed and he couldn't keep Fifty anymore so he needed to find a new home for him. I can't imagine not having him as he's brought so much happiness into this house which we all desperately needed as the past couple of years have been disastrous for us. I also have a Golden Retriever/St. Bernard mix, Lucy. She's been with me for 10 years now and is also a rescue. She had heartworms when I got her and she came through all of that treatment with flying colors. When my house burned in early 2012 I lost four dogs and two cats. Miss Lucy was the only one of my pets I was able to get out of the house with. She's my special baby as we've been through so much together. My dogs are like kids to me. I'm Jennifer. Some of the long timers here might know me from back in my trading days and from when I worked on the web site I used to have. I have gone by "saintbernard" pretty much anywhere I registered related to FM/SN and even at a few other sites. :wavey: |

I created "Japhry" from the character "Japhy Ryder" in Jack Kerouac's 1960's book "The Dharma Bums". Someone once asked me if it was really my name and I once said yes LOL. My name is actually Justin btw.
|
My real name is Debbie. I go by the name Madeline after the character in Death becomes her. Madeline Ashton. That is one movie I can say my whole family loves, even my husband. Bruce Willis was priceless in that movie. Oh and I go by Ernest Menville on photobucket.

Great idea for a thread!
When I turned 13, my dad took me shopping for my first album. I knew right away which one I wanted to get......Rumours. It had just come out 9 months before and was everywhere on the radio. We would spend our summers at the lake, and my neighbors (cousins) would put their stereo speakers in the window of their cottage and blast Rumours out onto the front rock. We would dance in the water, on the dock, in the boat, and on the big rocks.....all in the hot sunshine, or in the evening while swatting mosquitos around a bonfire. It was pure summer bliss. Ever since I got that album, Fleetwood Mac has been my favorite band of all time. I would follow the gossip about the members, and remembering being mortified that Stevie would get together with Mick. Her and Lindsey were meant to be together, so what on earth was happening??????? My love for them just steadily increased over the years, and when The Dance came out, I stood up at yelled at the TV for Stevie and Lindsey to just get it together. That was the year my first child was born, and I was an overtired and emotional mess. My children have been exposed to lot's of music in our household, but none as much as Fleetwood Mac. About 4 years ago, my son made my contact information on his phone with the title- lovethemac. It's stuck ever since. Even my husband refers to me at times with that name. And my kids still call me it ALL the time. Funny thing is, the abuse I would get from everyone about my love of FM over the years was unending, groans and moans when they would come on the radio in the car, groans and moans when I would have them on the stereo at home, etc., etc. But............. Guess who's coming to the next FM concert tour with us????????? My son really wanted to come, and my daughter is going with a friend who's father is taking them to the box seats that he has. My daughter groans with the fact that people recognize her as a potential FM lover because of her mother. HAHA. The 70's live strong and true in our household!! My name is Kathy, and this is my story. |

She was on Aussie TV around the mid 1960's.TV specials in the mid 1970's. She hit the charts in 1971. Now it looks like Taylor Swift is ditched country music for pop like Olivia did in the 1980's. No way Taylor can fill Olivia's shoes or anybody elses shoes from that generation. Wow .Olivia has 1980's Stevie hair in the photo below. I wish Olivia toured more like Stevie does.I've first seen her live in 1977 pre-Grease era concert and some shows in the 2000's. She is still a doll. |
It has no...
meaning, but it seems somewhat true to me...
Kinda funny, but Debbie was the one who added the 4life to the username when I first registered to be online in the mid 90's... |
Nothing wrong with liking OLJ... I think I have everything in some form from the Toomorrow LP circa 1968 to MP3s of Xanadu (with E.L.O.). Great singer! I still like Kylie Minogue a lot too...

My username "story" is boring.
Sorcerer because I was OBSESSED with the song and accompanying music video when it was released in 2001. I still like it and appreciate it but it has dwindled as one of my favorites. 999 ~ because from a very early age, I have been fascinated and obsessed by the number 9. It seems to follow me everywhere. Usually my favorite tracks on my favorite albums tend to be the 9th track. September is the 9th month, and I met Stevie on September 9th. I could go on and on about the number 9 appearing in various forms throughout my life. I suppose I chose 3 "nines" because it's an upside down 666. I'm not particularly religious but I'm no Satan worshiper either. |
One of my favorite novels is Clan of the Cave Bear. Jondalar is a name of one of the main characters. Always really liked that name.
