Well, being in Australia does have some advantages. Thought I'd check iTunes before I went to work... ;)

And All The Beautiful Worlds!

Plus that artwork is awesome.

louielouie2000 08-04-2014 04:28 PM

Looks like The Dealer really is the first single!

What an unexpected track list... I never, ever thought I'd see Mabel Normand on an album.

Blue Water, All The Beautiful Worlds, and If You Were My Love... all favs. Glad to see they made it. Lots of unknown tracks, though!

loverly13 08-04-2014 04:28 PM

!!!!!!! Freaking out! I'm happy. I've never heard of Mabel Normans until today, and I would have lovedddddd for Julia and Space Needle to be on it, but I'm pleased. Beggars can't be choosers, right?

That artwork IS gorgeous! I was just so excited that the song that I really wanted made the cut. Cannot wait to have this in my hands!!!

So I guess Twisted is the other bonus track (and the one that was played live). I hope it's got the spoken part from Thousand Days like she did during the Enchanted Tour.

wheart 08-04-2014 04:33 PM

She Loves Him Still...Thank you

Looks like from your picture that The Dealer is available for purchase... so did you buy it?! :]

welcomechris 08-04-2014 04:37 PM

How Is It? Post it on Youtube or something I NEED TO HEAR

Phil 08-04-2014 04:37 PM

Wow, I just purchased "The Dealer" and have played it a few times - it sounds so faithful to the Tusk version.

sorcerer999 08-04-2014 04:38 PM

HOLY F**K!!!!! This might be more exciting than the Instagram updates we're waiting for!!!

Four of my favorites/wishlist made the cut!!! THANK GOD "Blue Water" is on this list!!! I'm on cloud nine!:blob2::blob2::blob2:

I wonder if "Lady" is "Knocking On Doors"? And any speculation as to what "Hard Advice" might be?

Another version of "Twisted"?

Yeah. This is great! This listing makes so much sense and makes me sooooooooo very happy! I guess since the three Rhiannon songs aren't on here, then maybe she IS planning on doing something with that project soon.

I will shed one lonely tear for the exclusion of "Night Gallery" and move on...

welcomechris 08-04-2014 04:38 PM

Twisted????

MoonSister75 08-04-2014 04:39 PM

So SO happy with this!! Look at that beautiful cover! and my two favourites - The Dealer and Blue Water. It bought a tear to my eye :]

Phil 08-04-2014 04:41 PM

I now remember reading about the track "Hard Advice" in some late 90's interview, but had completely forgotten about it.
I am so pleased with the inclusion of "All The Beautiful Worlds", "Blue Water" and "She Loves Him Still". I wondered if "Cathouse Blues" would be included, but had dismissed the notion. Dave would love this track. That must be the 1969 song.

It'll be very interesting to hear how she'll pull off Mabel Normand with her current voice. Part of what made that demo so great was it's coke fueled zaniness.

I'm not surprised Space Needle isn't present. It was just too dark for Stevie to release.

sorcerer999 08-04-2014 04:42 PM

What is "Carousel"? Fritz? Buck/Nicks?

This album looks so amazing.

So I've heard of, but never heard, Carousel, and
I know Hard Advice has been mentioned, but I don't know if anyone's ever heard it? I guess it's not a precursor to That Made Me Stronger.

Finally, I love how we now have the tracklist, but Stevie's Instagram hasn't been updated. I wonder what we'll get to hear...

HoursAndHours 08-04-2014 04:46 PM

And what the heck song is Lady?

Depending on what turns out to be what, it looks like I got just about half of my wishlist. Yaaaayyyyy! But also notice that there is no Julia.

I'm actually kind of glad there's no "Julia". The Bella Donna version is finished and is perfection already. I'm willing to bet it will be released someday on a BD anniversary edition or some kind of Stevie retrospective collection.

I think "Lady" MIGHT BE what we've known as "Knocking On Doors".

I can only speculate that "Julia" and "Space Needle" are going straight to the new Fleetwood Mac album. She needs to save some strong cuts for that record. WATCH CHAIN made it!!! I have been waiting at least 10 years for a formal studio version of that song! :]

He's So Unusual 08-04-2014 04:59 PM

I love the artwork, I'm also happy to see Belle Fleur on there, but I'm gutted that Julia is missing, maybe Fleetwood Mac will do something with it on their upcoming album.

olive 08-04-2014 04:59 PM

TWISTED ?

bombaysaffires 08-04-2014 05:00 PM

so far nothing on US iTunes.

Isn't it the 5th of August now in Australia? Maybe we have to wait til after midnight here in the US?

It's 3pm on the west coast and still nothing on Instagram.

welcomechris 08-04-2014 05:02 PM

Omg I Love The Snippet

loverly13 08-04-2014 05:04 PM

Loveeee it! I'm so excited. I don't care of I have to be up at 5 am tomorrow morning. I'll be waiting at midnight to preorder.

Do you think we'll get a download of The Dealer when we preorder the cd/vinyl, or do you think it's an iTunes exclusive?

sorcerer999 08-04-2014 05:04 PM

So that now leaves "Goldfish & Lady Bug" as the lone track from Almanac that still hasn't found a spot yet. Of course...there's the upcoming cartoon...

I thought she pulled all these demos from YouTube? Do you guys think "Hard Advice", "I Don't Care" and "Carousel" are all songs we haven't heard before or possibly renamed tracks we already have?

Yeah...I'm not understanding the decision to re-record "Twisted". Did she forget about the Soundtrack version with Lindsey?

HoursAndHours 08-04-2014 05:05 PM

Songs from my wishlist that made it:

Starshine
If You Were My Love
24 Karat Gold
Belle Fleur
All The Beautiful Worlds
Watch Chain
Blue Water
The Dealer

Songs I will be a little sad about (or holding out for on the FM record):
Forest Of The Black Roses
Maker Of Birds
Forsaken Love
Mixdown/Love And War
City Of Hope
Love You Enough

Songs I'm really surprised didn't make it:
Space Needle
Have No Heart

Well the version from Enchanted is basically a demo, just with some added instrumentation from other musicians to make it sound good. It's a great version! :) I'm just puzzled by the decision to record it again. Who knows? It might be one of the best songs on the new album.

James89 08-04-2014 05:10 PM

Everyone in the US. When you can, buy The Dealer so it can chart and make this album the great success it deserves to be!!! :]

markolas 08-04-2014 05:10 PM

Good lord, I was kidding when I mentioned "Mabel Normand" in the other thread.

It looks like The Dealer is definitely the first single - searched the clip on Shazam and this cover came up...

(btw this is my first post on The Ledge - been a 'lurker' for a while and finally decided to show my face so... HI:] )

pwyll 08-04-2014 05:12 PM

This is true, but it does make two versions of the song given a proper release. But, I remember her saying that the placement of that song at the end of the movie caused her message to people to be lost, and that she wasn't too happy about that. Maybe in the Enchanted liner notes? I guess she really wants to drive her point home.
