Eric Church, Lady Antebellum and Stevie Nicks to Perform at ACM Awards

Toby Keith is also set to take the stage at the annual awards show honoring country music April 6.

Country stars Eric Church, Toby Keith and Lady Antebellum with special guest Stevie Nicks have been added to the performers lineup at the 49th annual Academy of Country Music, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively. The Academy of Country Music and Dick Clark Productions made the joint announcement Friday.

They join previously announced performers Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, George Strait, Keith Urban, Florida Georgia Line and The Band Perry. Bryan and Shelton co-host this year's event, broadcast from the MGM Grant Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 6 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.

Additional performers and presenters will be announced in the coming weeks.

Lambert and Tim McGraw lead this year's crop with seven nominations apiece, while Urban is close behind with six. Shelton, Lee Brice, Taylor Swift and Kacey Musgraves follow with five nominations.

The Academy of Country Music Awards honors and showcases the biggest names and emerging talent in the country music industry. Allen Shapiro, Mike Mahan, R.A. Clark and Barry Adelman serve as executive producers, with Bob Romeo for the Academy of Country Music.

Wow, Stevie's really getting around lately and I love it. :blob2:

Well, there's another award show I'll have to watch. I don't usually watch them, but with all the Stevie and Lindsey action we've been getting lately, I've been watching them more and more.

louielouie2000 03-14-2014 01:13 PM

Interesting. I wonder if she'll perform as a duo with another group/artist, or if she'll break out one of her country-tinged songs?

If I understood the article correctly, she's Lady Antebellum's "special guest."

BlueDenimLamp 03-14-2014 01:26 PM

At least Mama isn't Taylor's special guest..

You're welcome, JohnnyStew. Charles Kelly just happened to mention it to me while we were searching under my bed for his pants. ;)

Stevie and Lady Antebellum singing together again? Be still my heart! They are amazing altogether, was hoping for a reunion of them, Yeah!

michelej1 03-14-2014 03:57 PM

I wonder which song(s) they will perform from the Crossroads performances.

Michele

BLY 03-14-2014 04:22 PM

Anything that was performed from Crossroads will be amazing. It's great that LA and Stevie will be exposed to a larger audience with this great match up of talent.

evenstevie23 03-14-2014 05:19 PM

I think Stevie has the crossover ability that Elvis Presley had and other Rock and Roll artists. I wish she would do more country. Her voice is one of a kind. It touches the heart and soul. I love Lady Antebellum and Stevie, so a special treat. I don't usually watch the award shows either, but will tune in to see our two Ladies. (Stevie and Lady A.);)

cool! is this the award show where Lindsey was a presenter last year, followed by Keith Urban and Little Big Town doing the cover of The Chain? it was some country awards show but not sure which one.

SNicksed 03-15-2014 10:29 AM

Hmm. Wonder if there is a tour in the works?

Japhry 03-15-2014 08:30 PM

well....when she played with Lady A. last year....I really WAS expecting her to do some of her country(ish) tunes...."leather and lace", "after the glitter fades", "that's alright", "think about it" "the highwayman".....I was kind of disappointed that noone were included. I think it would be appropriate and fantastic if she would do "After the Glitter" for the Country Awards show.

michelej1 03-16-2014 03:09 PM

[So, if you have a little boy, does Stevie still buy cute clothes for your baby?]

The annual Academy of Country Music Awards telecast is usually pretty open about welcoming artists from genres other than country, so it's no surprise to hear that Stevie Nicks has joined the lineup for this year's show, which CBS will air live from Las Vegas on April 6.

Nicks will sing with Lady Antebellum during the telecast, which will also include live performances from Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, The Band Perry and Florida Georgia Line, among others.

Nicks joining Lady Anetbellum for the ACM Awards performance makes a lot of sense. After all, the Fleetwood Mac frontwoman appeared on CMT Crossroads with the group last year, and the two acts have stayed in touch and remained friends since then. In fact, Stevie has been spoiling Eisele, the baby daughter of Lady Antebellum singer Hillary Scott, by sending her gifts of fabulous baby clothes.

"She's definitely taken her wardrobe up a few notches than what she had originally," Scott told ABC News Radio last year.

The reason you never found them is because they're still under MY bed! :p

I hope whatever they perform, it's something upbeat. If Stevie rocks out it's more likely to leave an impression with the audience/viewers!

BlueDenimLamp 03-23-2014 09:11 PM

Just heard Stevie mentioned in a promo clip for the ACM awards...I'll have to pay attention next time and see if they have a pic of Stevie...

BlueDenimLamp 03-24-2014 10:56 AM

Just saw the ACM promo clip again.. When they mention Stevie as one of the guest performers they are using what seems to be footage of Stevie with Dave Grohl...

Macfanforever 03-27-2014 06:31 PM

WOW.I cant wait to see her on the ACM's.

Lady Antebellum and Stevie Nicks Singing "Golden" on Sunday Night's ACM Awards

Posted 2014-04-02 http://krvn.com/news/music/?more=34732505

Frank Micelotta/PictureGroup

Lady Antebellum and Stevie Nicks will perform a new duet version of the Lady A song "Golden" on this Sunday's ACM Awards. It's the title track from Lady Antebellum's latest album; the new duet version of the song is now available digitally.

"Golden" was a favorite of Stevie's when she teamed up with Lady Antebellum for an installment of CMT Crossroads last year.

The 49th Annual ACM Awards airs Sunday night at 8 ET on CBS.

Here's a little more news about the performance from Hit Fix Music:

*Sing along with Lady Antebellum and Stevie Nicks: Little Big Town are really the country equivalent of Fleetwood Mac (and they do a killer version of “The Chain” to stoke those comparisons), but Lady A comes a close second with their killer co-ed harmonies. As anyone who saw Lady A and Nicks’ episode of CMT’s “Crossroads” last year knows, they make beautiful music together. Expect them to do a mash up of a Fleetwood Mac tune into a Lady A song.

5 bucks it's Landslide into Golden.

It could be. Landslide was already on the country charts with the Dixie Chicks years ago.

Again its a hot FM tune that everybody knows. I'll be shocked if they play something else from FM or any of her solo tunes.

I would love to hear a countrified Standback with banjos and steel guitar .Sorry guys.

Stevie or the host can give FM a plug by mentioning the upcoming FM tour on the show.

From a musical standpoint, the progressions of Landslide and Golden are similar and the relation of the melody is such that they could easily be played/sung on the same key and transition from one to another easily.

Just saw Lady A and Stevie on the red carpet. Yahoo is live streaming. The interviewer was very excited to meet Stevie and asked about Christine coming back. They also said they are performing Golden and then going into another song. Probably one of Stevie's

Macfanforever 04-06-2014 06:48 PM

Johnny Stew 04-06-2014 08:12 PM

They sounded great. Stevie, Charles & Hillary harmonize so beautifully.

For anyone who wants to know, they sang the first verse and chorus of "Golden" and then lead into....

Spoiler:
"Rhiannon."

lulu28 04-06-2014 08:15 PM

Awesome performance! Stevie looked beautiful!

Macfanforever 04-06-2014 08:17 PM

I will be working on the clip in a littlebit.Heres a treat from 30 years ago on the same show when Mick as a presenter.

BlueDenimLamp 04-06-2014 08:17 PM

I've come to the conclusion that "Country acts" should stay away from Stevie's songs...I don't think Hillary did much better than Taylor on Rhiannon...

ragrsrocalot 04-06-2014 08:19 PM

Loved it. :D I wonder if Taylor Swift was thinking, oh that's how its done.

iamnotafraid 04-06-2014 08:21 PM

Emmylou.Dolly,Reba just to name a few.
