Christine live wishlist

So I know we've dipped into this some in the related threads, but I thought I'd dedicate a stand alone thread to it. What songs specifically would you really like to hear this summer from Christine? Here's my dream list:

Oh Daddy
Warm Ways
Think About Me
Brown Eyes
Over & Over
Hold Me
Wish You Were Here
Isn't It Midnight

These aren't going to happen, but would be lovely:

Why
Remember Me
Dissatisfied
Did You Ever Love Me

Hawkeye 01-15-2014 11:40 PM

I actually feel why is a real possibility. I could see it being the last song after songbird.

SteveMacD 01-16-2014 12:00 AM

Get Like You Used To Be (with just Mick, John, and Christine, a la the original Chicken Shack version)
I'd Rather Go Blind
Why
Spare Me A Little Of Your Love
Never Forget
Love Shines

based on what?

Phil 01-16-2014 12:53 AM

Louie, your choices are spot on! I'd also like Honey Hi, Never Forget and The Farmer's Daughter (with a prominent Christine harmony vocal).

pattyfan 01-16-2014 01:21 AM

Any of her Fleetwood Mac songs pre Lindsey/Stevie
One More Night
Any of her songs from Tusk (especially Over and Over, Think About Me, and Honey Hi)
Heat of Stone
If they do even just one of those, I will be a very happy camper. :)

Then, of the hits...
Hold Me
Love in Store
You Make Loving Fun
Say You Love Me
Over My Head

I just can't wait to hear her sing live again, after such a looooong time. :)
Kevin

I'msoAfraid95 01-16-2014 02:00 AM

I'd Rather Go Blind
Why
Over my Head
Honey Hi
Everywhere
Little Lies

I'm not listing the ones that are a must di.

Japhry 01-16-2014 02:33 AM

Over My Head
You Make Loving Fun
Songbird
Brown Eyes
Over and Over
Hold Me
Love in Store
Little Lies

(thinking she will get no more than 8 songs tops): two others I would love to hear in a live format would be:

spare me a little of your love
as long as you follow

one can wish

nightbird28 01-16-2014 07:21 AM

Think about Me
Isn't it Midnight
Brown Eyes
Why
Just Crazy Love (Lindsey could rearrange a little think it would be awesome)
Hold Me
Never Forget (right before songbird)
Little Lies

Ulpian 01-16-2014 08:37 AM

In addition to the ones I think she will 'have' to do (Don't Stop, Songbird, YMLF, SYLM), I would like:-

Little Lies
Everywhere
Isnt It Midnight
Why (but think this unlikely)

I know this is TITN-heavy, but I love that album to bits.

jbrownsjr 01-16-2014 09:27 AM

Isn't It Midnight
Mystified
Little Lies (with Lindsey would be cool)
Come A Little Bit Closer
Homeward Bound
Believe Me
Wish You Were Here
Crystal (so I can hear her keyboard solo)

Dex 01-16-2014 10:45 AM

I need to prepare myself for the notion that her songs may not sound as great live as they do in my head. She hasn't done much performing in a long time. Fingers crossed, though.

A highfive to all who have put Why on their lists. That's my number one. It doesn't seem likely, but then Without You and Sisters of the Moon were concert staples last tour, so who's to say.

Then

Isn't it Midnight
Songbird
Little Lies
Think About Me
Hold Me
You Make Loving Fun

Would all be lovely.

Here is my grading on her voice so far:

Maui C+
London 25th B
London 27th B+

In recent interviews, she said her voice is, "fabulous" again. We will see. :)

GavinBrown 01-16-2014 11:46 AM

Songs she will definitely HAVE to do:
Everywhere
You Make Lovin Fun
Dont Stop
Songbird
Say You Love Me

Songs she most likely will add:
Over My Head
Oh Daddy
Hold Me

Songs I would like?
Little Lies
Think About Me

aleuzzi 01-16-2014 11:52 AM

Why would be a great choice because it would work well with Christine's current vocal register. She could really sing that beautifully.

Who knows what they will pick? I sense, however, that there will be a twist somewhere. Some song that has either never been performed or has not been performed in a long time. I also think they are going to trot out "Little Lies" or "Isn't it Midnight." But not both.

Here is my list for live set suggestions:

You Make Loving Fun (a given)
Little Lies (or) Isn't it Midnight
Say You Love Me
Never Forget
Why
Spare Me a Little
Forgiveness (or) Giving it Back

And of course a new one...

Ulpian 01-16-2014 12:10 PM

I really would like to hear Little Lies. I don't know why they didn't do it for The Dance; they certainly said that they rehearsed it, and I thought it sounded fine on the Shake the Cage tour. However, I seem to remember that Christine said they couldn't make it work in 1997...

sywlindseyfan 01-16-2014 04:04 PM

I just want to take a moment to say guys, can you really believe this is happening right now? All of the stars have aligned. I never ever thought this was going to happen. I've had a mad crush on Christine and her music since 8th grade. I had my friend buy me In the Meantime while she was in London when it first came out. My 8th grade self is flipping out, and I am so happy.

Can you even believe this thread is real? I never thought in my life that I would see the things that are happening right now, and I am so excited, and knocked out.

Can't wait to talk to all of you guys about this stuff. I have been listening to FM Live all week while cleaning.

michelej1 01-16-2014 04:08 PM

Isn't It Midnight is making everyone's list.

One time on FM Legacy we had a poll and we voted I Know I'm Not Wrong as the best song and FM did I Know I'm Not Wrong on tour. Coincidence or no? I just hope if we all keep saying Isn't It Midnight it will happen.

I worry because Lindsey may not think of this one. I hope Stevie and Christine remember how great it sounded when they performed it live without him and let him know.

Michele

If I were to see them live with Chris, I think I'd wanna hear these:

Oh Daddy
Why
Songbird
Little Lies (get Brett Tuggle on those extra keys & give us that Tango sound!)
Hold Me
Isn't It Midnight
You Make Loving Fun
Everywhere (or Say You Love Me)

singertobe 01-18-2014 07:24 PM

I want her to do Little Lies. We've never heard the Rumours lineup do that live.:blob1:

jmn3 01-18-2014 07:36 PM

Another vote for Little Lies! It was the first Fleetwood Mac song I ever consciously paid attention to when I was about 6/7 and I still love it to this day!

Spare Me a Little, Why, Believe Me from the pre-1975 days....and Brown Eyes, Oh Daddy, Over and Over, and Hold Me.

I'm sure none of these will happen...either way I'm pumped at the premise of being able to see all 5 of them on stage at once!

jools 01-18-2014 08:21 PM

If we take Dont Stop as a given song

I would like to hear the following lies

Isn't It Midnight
Little Lies/Everywhere
As Long As You Follow
Say You Love Me
Hold Me
You Make Loving Fun
Over My Head
Oh Daddy

Of Course ending the concert with

Songbird

Christopher 01-18-2014 09:58 PM

THINK ABOUT ME...THINK ABOUT ME...THINK ABOUT ME!!:woohoo:

Isn't It Midnight
Hold Me
Brown Eyes
Love In Store

Say You Love Me
You Make Loving Fun

Way, way down my wishlist is all the other fluff  (*Little Lies, **Everywhere & **Don't Stop) *yawn **doubleyawn:cool:

Hawkeye 01-18-2014 10:30 PM

"why" do I think why is very possible? Stevie and Lindsey have each thrown in 1 or 2 surprises on the last 3 tours. Im sure Christine doesnt want to come back just to play all her hits. I'm sure she's itching to play a rare song of hers. Stevie and Lindsey relied heavily on their tusk songs since they both have a ton of awesome rarities from tusk. Christine could also jump on the tusk bandwagon. Bt I feel like if she has input shed rather play a mystery to me song. In a recent interview she listed mystery to me as her top 3 albums with rumours and fm 75. She didn't mention tusk. And why was done as late as the rumours tour. And it was done on the midnight special with the rumours band.

Do I think its likely? No. Do I think it's more possible then some others think? Yes. And I just think it has a final song vibe.

"Why" would be welcome, not to mention, a stunning final set-list song!
I'd love to hear some pre-BN era Christine. I'd be surprised to see it happen, IDK, I hope I'm wrong.

Classic songs they have always done....
You Make Loving Fun - one of her biggest hits
Say You Love Me - regular style, but with lots of piano!
Songbird - gotta close the show with this one her alone on stage
Don't Stop - ditto
Over My Head - that funky version from '77/79
World Turning - wanna hear her and Lindsey together again

Newer-ish songs
Isn't it Midnight - love the '87 live w/Rick & Billy, besides Christine needs some rockers!
Over and Over - hasn't been done since '79?
Oh Daddy - not done much, but done in '97?
Why - would love to hear a striped back harmony version of this one
Little Lies - just curious how it would sound since its such a studio perfection
Temporary One - oh the irony if they do this one....!

StevieNicksfann 01-20-2014 11:31 AM

Say You Love Me - not the banjo version but the original
Everywhere
You Make Loving Fun
Don't Stop
Little Lies
Got A Hold On Me
Hold Me
Over My Head
Think About Me
Love In Store
Save Me
As Long As You Follow
I Do
Never Make Me Cry
Love Shines
Temporary One
Isn't It Midnight

Agreed! Turn one of your own songs into a banjo version, Lindsey. Like Big Love. And leave Christine's classics alone.

I Do
Where is this song from?

Never Make Me Cry
If they perform this live I will puke on the poor soul sitting in front of me.

I agree with all your other choices though.

Oh Daddy
Hold Me
Warm Ways
Brown Eyes
Never Forget
Love Shines

brickney723 01-22-2014 08:07 PM

Brown Eyes & Hold Me- both in my top 5 FM ever.

Hawkeye 01-22-2014 08:19 PM

So my wish list is:

Say You Love Me
You Make Loving Fun
Oh Daddy
Think About Me
isn't it midnight
Little lies
Honey hi

World turning and don't stop should probably stay encores considering they were set In stone for 3 tours without Christine.

annabellee 01-22-2014 09:17 PM

Me!

Save Me (for my son who is Christine's biggest 13yo fan!):blob1:
Hold Me
Think About Me

I guess this list is all about "Me"!

I'd also like to hear As Long As You Follow, Songbird and a newly re-harmonized Hypnotized.:p
