what do YOU want LB to do in 2014?

there's is a thread in SN forum about what do her fans expect she'll do after current FM tour... i'm curious what would fans want LB to do in 2014?

we can speculate with near certainty what LB wants to do :D:
  • FM album
  • more FM touring
but hopefully we can count on SN to put an end to that :p. i'm suspecting people who are primarily FM fans would love LB's plans above, but LB (and SN) solo fans - not so much.

poll options:
  • solo album
  • solo tour (either one man show or with the band, specify in the text)
  • another FM tour leg
  • FM album

additional options that i'm not putting in the poll would be:
  • solo album and tour
  • FM album (or more EPs) and tour
.
i will not put as an option more one-off collaborations and small projects b/c LB seems to have done tons of those over the last 2 years, while putting out new music / albums and touring at the same time, so that's almost a given - hopefully there will be more of those.

if you have some other options that you'd prefer (broadway musical as per Mick :p ), do not hesitate to list them in the text!

elle 08-29-2013 05:45 PM

my preference - solo one man tour with the requests, as promised last year. :xoxo:

would be nice if he releases some new songs throughout the year during tour breaks.

if he also works on the Mac album while on breaks, i wouldn't mind that - as long as he doesn't go into hibernation while doing that and doesn't loose his precious time by getting entangled into all their bs and politics.

McTrouble 08-29-2013 05:51 PM

Solo tour!!!! Not band though - One Man Show again! :blob1:

ha i knew i was forgetting something! should have put that one there... did you comment on that poll in SN forum? i don't think they had that option either, that's why i didn't remember.

yeah i think if you leave it up to LB, BN issuing/event/tour would be right after FM album/tour option.

You meant right BEFORE FM album/tour, right? ;) C'mon, Lindsey, there's a house in Wales just waiting for you and Stevie... :D Also, seconding CAD's sentiment, btw.

no, i think his preference is to finish and put out that FM album that he, Mick and John recorded with Froom.

but the way he's been working these last couple of years, i'm sure he'd have no problem putting out FM album, BN+ CD plus touring BN and FM.

They should release both the new FM album and the remastered BN album simultaneously.

Then they should do one FM tour promoting both.

All these polls should have this option: Who Cares? Just for ha ha's it would be interesting how many votes this selection would receive.

Stormwind 08-29-2013 06:48 PM

I would like a new album from the Mac, but in 2nd position a tour with Stevie for a special reissue of the Buckingham Nicks album (maybe finding the Holy Grail is easier xD) :D

God, yes.

I'd always be happy with a solo album, and I want to hear the rest of those songs he did with Mick and John. I don't care whether he releases them as FM, or solo, I'd like to hear them. But wanting and liking aren't the same as needing, and you said it, Elle. We need him. We need him touring solo. OMS, baby, before all else!!

HelloMonster 08-29-2013 06:56 PM

I want a huge solo OMS tour, with a small handful of BN shows. ;)

TrueFaith77 08-29-2013 07:06 PM

It wouldn't make sense for him to do a solo tour, since he did that just before the Mac tour. But at least nobody is foolhardy enough to wish another solo album on the world after the debacle that was SWS.

... according to you! most peeps seem to put SWS in his 2 top albums.

i want another solo album, but my first choice is solo tour. OMS solo tour. with the requests. as he promised. OMS with requests can be very very different from his last year's tour.

solo tour with requests makes complete sense. and much more sense than more Mac. or stuck-in-the-ancient-past BN songs.

well, he promised. last year. repeatedly. we gonna hold him to it. and not just 2-choice requests. he better does at least 1/3 of the show by requests.

Yes it would. He enjoyed the solo tour, so why wouldn't he do more of it?

Obviously, you don't wish it, but I do...and I know I'm not alone. I just want a tour more. Like many of his fans, I love SWS, and would welcome new music from Lindsey, any day, any time.

So....as I was saying...

BUCKINGHAM NICKS!!!

you know, he actually wishes it too, if he would only think about it?

remember when LB did RAB by request that second night in NYC, but TrueFaith was not there (he was there the first night)? remember those huge screams "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" and then again and again on my FB? i do! :) you really don't want a LB request tour TrueFaith?

michelej1 08-29-2013 08:26 PM

But keep in mind, if he just does more FM touring that can't take up the whole year. Only the first half of it at the most, I'm thinking.

true.

still. if he does more FM touring i'll be tempted to go, thinking that nobody knows whether he'll ever tour again. :( and i really don't want to go to more Mac shows in 2014. :distress:

Why do you think he won't tour solo again, I mean if he has nothing else to do with FM? Why wouldn't he?

But yes, you DO have to go to more Mac shows in 2014, if there are any.

i don't know, i'm just pessimistic like that. many times it works well for me - you know, low expectations and all that...

so we can figure out how many people don't really care about any of the FM members current music but just troll around here because they have nothing better to do?

who cares!

SWS is his best album. I'm not sure why you are calling it a debacle? It didn't sell millions of copies but received many glowing reviews and was on a bunch of best of 2011 lists. Just because you personally didn't like it doesn't mean it was horrible.

I would love another solo album, but definitely another solo tour. Enough FM, no BN, please go back to solo.

michelej1 08-30-2013 02:36 AM

Well, I don't think there will be a BN, but if there is, at least the tickets will be cheaper than they are for FM.

Michele

OMS entirely by request and a talkback with the audience.

applebucked 08-30-2013 06:37 AM

My #1 choice is the biggest pipe dream of all pipe dreams, so, I have to choose the second best thing which is a FM album.

I don't know much in the way of his solo material and his solo tours, but that "by request" thing seems like a good idea.

Peestie 08-30-2013 07:38 AM

Solo. Album.

Next year it'll have been 3 years since SWS and I need another hit of solo tracks. For me, tours are nice but they're one-off events usually. An album is something I can (hopefully!) enjoy for the rest of my life. Plus he probably won't tour outside of the USA so I'll not get to see him if he tours.

My second preference is a FM album for much the same reasons as above. FM tour is was down in last place.

Edgeof27 08-30-2013 08:01 AM

Solo Tour; The Small Machine.

52 shows, (2 shows per week, back to back, same venue, Friday/Saturday).

TrueFaith77 08-30-2013 10:42 AM

My point was that it makes no sense to do a solo tour because he has just done a solo band tour, then a solo oms tour, and, now, a fleetwood mac tour. It is time to record. So that is just fact.

As for whether that record should be a Mac album or a solo album, it MIGHT be a matter of my opinion to prefer the Mac album (which we have not had in 10 years...), but he's already recorded half the Mac album, so... I'm just writing realistically here.

Following a Mac album, it is inevitable there would be a tour to promote it, so it would be my hope that they would fold that in with BN so that Lindsey and Stevie can finally part ways which is what they want to do (then Lindsey can do OMS request shows until he drops).

My hyperbole about SWS was just to get elle's goat. Which worked.

Was RAB the song he did the second night at BB Kings? Didn't he do RAB at the 92Y?

moon 08-30-2013 01:30 PM

- Well, he released an album recently. Sorry, 2 albums!!! SWS and OMS.
- If FM recorded a new EP, I think they won't release an album. Hope I'm wrong!!!
- Buckingham/Nicks...mmmmm....I don't think so...
- So, even when I'm so far away from the scene, a solo tour is my choice. And with band!

They do?!?! Pretty sure they make a heck of a lot more money when they are together... so....yeah. Not feeling them wanting to end that, now especially. People have brand new retirement homes to pay for and kids to put through college.

I do not believe we will see more than one more tour of the two of them together. You do?

Not necessarily, but I think it's an age factor or a demand factor not because they are hell bent on never working together again.

Of course, I do believe this tour has been more successful than they thought it would be and that is always a healthy incentive to keep going. Lindsey has been hinting at that too - having a longer span of FM instead of the solo stints.

SadAngel86 09-29-2013 10:09 PM

I change my mind too, since I seem to have voted wrong, lol. (I voted new solo album) but YES for touring since I have not seen him live solo yet ever.

OMS with requests would just be awesome!
