Name of this tour?

I realized I don't know what to call this tour?

Is it just "Live 2013" as per the tickets. Is it "Rumours 35th Anniversary"?

Did I miss this somewhere?:distress:

I like names and details. It's how I will refer to this later in years to come! LOL

TerraRhiannon 04-10-2013 04:24 PM

I'm pretty sure it's officially 'Fleetwood Mac Live.'

Exciting eh!???

Refreshing & Original.

It's like they want to tag on the Rumours Anniversary, but then steer clear of it for other things. Like nope, no siree we are not trying to tie this in...then every article that comes out mentions the remaster. Weird.
Unleashed was lame, but yea, good call...why no title??

Hey, it works! It's not about the name anyways. We can shorten it to FML, which aside from being accurate, should keep the haters happy

I love Fleetwood Mac as only someone who grew up with them when they were in their golden age could.Since you are a "Lindsfan" surely you must be aware of the way he rightfully lambasted the Eagles for their purely mercenary tours?

Yes, but I don't get why you, and so many others, feel The Mac is doing this for purely mercenary reasons? Honestly, I don't. I want my favorite band to tour, and they seem to enjoy it too. None of them need the money, so doing it solely for the money would be silly. I know Lindsey tours because he loves touring, and loves playing live. Mick and John have also said numerous times how much they love playing live. What's wrong with that?

I agree about Lindsey's solo tours. He probably barely breaks even if that and I enjoyed his show very much when I saw him perform here in Napa about a year and a half ago, however he has a young family and always seems to be building a new house.Mick and John are old road dogs who love to tour but Mick always needs the money.I also think that Stevie does to some extent even though she has plenty. She is very accustomed to living the fabulous rock star life and nothing wrong with that really but would she do 60 date with FM for free?Highly unlikely.

WildHearted 04-11-2013 10:54 AM

Fleetwood Mac Live. As in, "Yes, we're still alive."

Macfanforever 04-11-2013 11:40 AM

"I love to tour" tour.

gypsy-sara 04-11-2013 11:44 AM

"The tour without a name"-tour.

AbbiJoy78 04-11-2013 12:34 PM

Maybe in 5 years we'll all be referring to this as the "Noname Tour". For example:

Hey Lindsan: "remember when you were at MSG for Noname, and we heard "Sad Angel"?" LOL

;)

michelej1 04-11-2013 01:25 PM

It's like that time everyone expected a new name for the Ipad and Apple just said it was called: "the new Ipad."

Obviously, you're a fan, and I didn't mean to sound harsh, but why should they do it for free? I don't (and wouldn't) work for free. They've always driven us a little crazy, but that's part of their charm (or not, for some  ), and I can't imagine why they would suddenly change now. They put on a heck of a great concert, and everyone around me was having a blast. That's enough for me. If we get a DVD or CD of this tour, for instance, I'd be thrilled, but I don't expect one, and I won't be angry if it doesn't happen, because that's just the way they are, and always have been.

TerraRhiannon 04-11-2013 06:32 PM

Fleetwood Mac Live IS ultra boring. Oh well. It's way better than Fleetwood Mac: Dead.

MacShadowsBall 04-11-2013 09:27 PM

Yeah, there isn't a name for this tour is there?

Didn't Stevie have a brief no-name tour a year or so back? I guess this tour can be called "The 2013 Fleetwood Mac Tour". Catchy, I know.

Villavic 04-11-2013 09:52 PM

What do the T-Shirts say?

Many people called the 1997 tour "The Dance" tour, but actually it's The Reunion tour, cause all merchandise (t-shirts, caps) say so. So I always remember it as The Reunion tour.

So what does the merchandise say this time?

In keeping with Lindsey's description of the band as the big machine, I'll suggest the "Big ATM Machine" tour.:D

Villavic 04-12-2013 09:15 AM

Just "Live 2013"

So many artists put in the personal effort and/or hire creative talent to give them a graphically appealing and creative context. Fleetwood Mac is the complete opposite, offering nothing but very bland and boring visual rehashes, with no distinction. Given that this their second go around of redundancy, without any substantial new material, you would think they would want to somehow define it. It's as easy as giving the tour a creative name!

Perhaps it's unfair to compare Fleetwood Mac to lots of other artists I love and follow. But I can't escape the fact that Fleetwood Mac ranks at the bottom when it comes to their marketing tactics, product offerings, and art direction.

ESPECIALLY for a band with such a compelling visual flair!

I just got an email from Fleetwood Mac Official Merchandise site.

They have tees starting at $29.99 if I read it right.

I agree on the inflated tee prices.Merchandise is another way that bands can make extra money on the tour.

In Louisville last week, $40 was the cheapest shirt that I saw.

StandbackStevie 04-18-2013 04:30 PM

I am glad I am going not happy about the prices of the ticket but got one and going to the show. This might be my last show I am going to if they come around again and the tickets are high priced will probably miss the show. I figure I will go this one time but unless they are reasonable next time they come around again will probably pass.I need a mac attack and nicksfix just a night to have a great time is much needed at this time.:] I am alright making this my swan song of the concerts. If this will be last time seeing them live in concert I am ok with that it was a great ride and can't wait for Saturday it's going to be amazing show at Mohegan Sun Arena can't wait.

T-Shirts in 2009 were very expensive too. You just pay for the printing, cause it was a Fruit of the Loom t-shirt
