Go Your Own Way
Silver Springs |
I'm Loving that all these videos are so close up and from really good angles. I just love being able to look at the expressions on Stevie's face. You notice things that you would otherwise miss. Especially after the Columbus videos weren't as good. Thanks to the who ever filmed.

Thank you so much Viv! I am totally enjoying these videos! :xoxo:
Sisters was the one I was waiting with baited breath for! :] I do believe Stevie may be getting her groove back but she still says, "Since the late 70's" *sigh* LOL :) |

thanks so much for finding and posting vivfix!
totally agree that she needs time to let loose with it..it will come. you have three more dates before i see you in chicago stephanie, so get on it! :p and like..karen should be on these fact checking things. not only did they perform sotm in '82, but that was THE iconic performance. also loved her little "cool" remark at the end. |

Those were all amazing! Especially SOTM and Landlside. Landslide was even more adorbale than usual at the end and SOTM she sounds amazing!

It's really been the same theme as in the last couple tours over the past 10 years...There's always the first night jitters, you can always tell in the first show how uncomfortable and nervous Stevie is until right towards the end of the show.
Unleashed was a great example when everyone was freaking out that she hardly twirled during the Stand Back guitar solo, or that she didn't let loose on some of the songs... When I saw the first SOTM and everyone was like UGH, I remembered the last tours they had their first show. By the 3rd show it was much better, and couple months into it even better as long as Stevie doesn't get sick which seems to be often these days. Either way...I thought SOTM was a lot better this time around, and I agree with most here that it's only going to get better. It won't be perfect but it'll be at least enjoyable to the ears. |

It goes to show that fans are far more astute and knowledgeable about all aspects of their career than any of the band members are. We obsess over the details: their history, songs, lyrics, set lists, performances, images. product etc.. That's why, if I ever had the chance to talk to any of them, it would be useless to ask an in-depth question regarding their history. I'd have much more facts to share with them, than they could share with me. They appear to just seem to move on in time, somewhat indifferent and detached from a large portion of their work. That explains the lack of motivation to re-release Buckingham Nicks on CD, and countless other marketable things they could have offered us during the long spans of time of inactivity. |
OMG these vids are GREAT! Thank you so much. Makes you realize how great the Internet is, huh?
|
Thanks Viv for your time looking for these videos and posting them.So far the first two shows on the tour are will covered with video and sound.
I hope now audio from the Philly show will appear next. |

I guess she's aware that other people think otherwise. Easy enough to check, no?? |

After you see a concert, you have this great thirst to see it again right away. You'll be able to quench that. Michele |
When talking about Without You, Stevie did mention their memory isn't very good, and all of this stuff they're saying about the song is just what they can remember. The intro to this song did sound similar to Secret Love. She also said that it was the song Mick heard when decided to bring Lindsey and Stevie on board. That got me very excited - I thought they were about to play Frozen Love. Without You was still a nice treat, though.
Plus, after she said they hadn't done SOTM since 1979, she added at the end that it was "cool." Watch the video for the specifics, but it was cute - she seemed excited to be doing it. |

Just a little joke there, I'm not complaining about the set! :D |
the go your own way end solo is shortened. I don't like that. I miss the go bazerk screaming repetition in the high part before the famous low riff takes over towards the end. Did anybody else notice?
|
I'm hearing a trend here (if two cities can be a trend.. it is still early)... but....it is starting to sound like the show is toned way down this time.. The subdued Stevie aspect doesn't surprise me, but hearing that Lindsey's performance (muted or removed solos and the like) has been toned way down *is* surprising. What do we think is going on with this? What was the decision process for this tour??

Nothing is toned down--IMO. If they ' ve made slight adjustments here and there for range issues...that 's about it. Everyone was completely on.
