I like Little Lies because everyone looks attractive and the setting/clothing is so amusing.

But overall, I think the Gypsy video is better - those sets are incredible.

Somehow in all these years of my fandom, I've never seen the Everywhere video. WTH? Doesn't fit the song at all, in fact it would have been perfect for Stevie's the Highwayman, since that's the poem they're referencing in this video. Plus, no one from the band is even in it. So yeah...Gypsy is still my favorite, followed by Hold Me and Seven Wonders.

Hold me. And gypsy. The best songs of all of these, and the best vids.

The video of the song is a visual depiction of the poem, The Highwayman by Alfred Noyes. There are two versions of the video; one features the story with members of the band appearing throughout, while the other doesn't feature the band at all.

I have never seen the one with the band members! I wonder if it's on youtube too.

The Gypsy video is fab, but the cut off trees are weird and Lindsey's hairdo is even weirder.
The Hold Me video is nice, not fantastic, just nice.
Holland (maybe the rest of Europe too?) had a slightly different version of the Everywhere video, with the sillouettes of Christine, Mick and John, that made a bit more sense tho I have no idea why no Stevie.
I love the Seven Wonders video, so simple but so beautiful, everybody looked really good and I love the "rainbow" parts.
The Big Love video is good, very 80s, "Sledgehammer"-esque, but I don't think it's as dated now as some of the other videos from that year. I like the rewind part.
The Little Lies video is nice but kinda dumb, why a farm? Why in a barn?

What about the Behind The Mask videos?

It's basically the same video with a few shots of Mick, John, and Christine singing inserted.

Gypsy then Hold Me. Loved both videos and both songs.

Gypsy - forever and always. Mainly because it captivated me as a child and I've never forgotten it.

Hold Me: I like the video, love the song, I don't feel like Stevie enjoyed the set though. :p

Does anyone remember the video for "In The Back Of My Mind"? I can't find it anywhere, probably because it's HORRIBLE, it should be discussed for that reason alone. It features Mick's unfortunate looking daughter, flying guitars and footage from the TITN video. I do like Save Me and Skies The Limit.

I think Gypsy will always be my favorite FM video. It's just so majestic and beautiful. And the ending reminds me of those wonderful MGM musicals back in the day. And I love that the guys dancing in the rain kept to a very classic style of dancing rather than looking like the dancers in Stand Back but in suits. It's sort of timeless, in that it doesn't look like an 80's video at all. Even in the "modern" setting of the fantasy forest the band is wearing these folky outfits so that the appear to be in their own dimension rather than being in the 80's. And even the imperfections, like Stevie nearly being taken out by the big glop of glitter dropped on her head, is endearing. I love everything about it.

Hold Me, by contrast, is a great bit of 80's nostalgia with the breaking mirror in the desert and the artsy imagery.

I also really love Seven Wonders but that's probably just because I love the song so much. I'm not a fan of plain old performance clips but I do love how they tied the Seven Wonders theme into the song with the backdrop. And I have to agree with cantgoback, they all look so happy. Especially the way Stevie smiles at Lindsey's goofing around. One would never know that they were only a short period away from his smacking her around and leaving the band.

Big Love is cold and impersonal to me, but stunning nonetheless. I like it a lot.

As Long As You Follow is a song that always reminds me of Christmas because the Greatest Hits CD came out just before I left college for Holiday Vacation from college and I played that and No Questions Asked constantly. And I guess the snow falling outside the windows in the video ties that association together more. I don't remember, are there holiday decorations in the video at all? Or am I just mixing the images on the screen with the memores of being in my parents' house that Christmas. I'll have to pull up the video when I have a moment.

I so wish there had been an actual video for Sara. The full album version. Seeing how beautiful Gypsy was could you imagine what a good director could have done with Sara? I wish there was a trend for independent filmmakers to do new videos for older songs. I can just see a modern adaptation of visuals for it.

Obviously a certain fantasy (epic travel, adventure, whimsy, imagination, period romance) to a lot of the concepts, and a sense of theater. Except perhaps "Little Lies" which I always thought was an incredibly random video.

My favorite's "Gypsy" too. I don't know about least favorite, it might be "Everywhere" because I never saw it until just right now so I don't have a sentimental attachment to it.

Same here! The video and song really impacted me. I hardly considered the two separate from one another. I was 12 and truly bewitched.

Hold me is also a great video. The rest...eh...

I never really considered this or the Everywhere "official" Mac Videos. They are just that Horrible. I always thought the clip of Everywhere in TITN concert would have been a better choice.

My fave: Gypsy, followed by As Long As You Followunpopular opinion but I liked Save Me, Skies, and Paper Doll, as well.

Seven Wonders is easily my favorite, Everyone looks great in it.
I hate that John isn't in Tusk, although that cardboard cut out he told them to use is funny. :lol:
Gypsy, I love the throw back to a different era. It almost like throwing it back to the BN days, which if I'm not mistaking the first verse is about.
Everywhere, I love the poem, but it doesn't fit the song.
Hold me, its cool, although I hate Lindsey's Amish type outfit.
Little Lies, same as Seven Wonders. Its great.

I like them all, but Big Love is my favourite! I love the end and the band together again, you know, after the solo works of Chris, Lindsey & Stevie. Nice to see Stevie wearing again the clothes of the Rock A Little days, but it's sad to know that Stevie wasn't there when they recorded the song (and a big part of the album)...

Good/Bad: Everywhere. It's a sad story, and the members of the band only appeared in one edition, and not Lindsey and Stevie, or Lindsey.

Specific favourite scenes:
- Gypsy: The end, with everybody dancing. And the band in blck & white, with the old style.
- Hold Me: STEVIE!!!!!!! And Lindsey breaking the glass with his guitar
- Everywhere: :shrug:
- Seven Wonders: Stevie!!!!!
- Big Love: The end, definitely, but all the video is really good.
- Little Lies: When everyone is walking in the barn, looking out. And Chris and Stevie walking together. They looked like sisters!

Anything interesting: Well, I only remember that the House of the Hill really exists, and it's still used for parties and weddings. Nothing new, I know...
