hmm, not happy with these. i guess the rest will be coming out on FM sites within the next few days.

didn't i tell you, lindsey, that european dates need to start in august? don't see any chance of that happening if UK ones will be lumped end of sept / beginning of oct.

those rock stars. never setting up their tours around their fans' needs :p  ;)

chazlightyear 01-27-2013 03:18 AM

Anyone know when these go on sale yet?

Dodfather 01-27-2013 05:29 AM

Thought this would happen. Oh well, looks like I'll have to wait for Aus/NZ dates since I'm moving in July. Can't be helped. Any idea about on sale dates though so I can tell some friends?

The Glasgow one should be good with it being Lindsey's birthday:thumbsup:

If I make any it'll be the Manchester one. I'm glad it's not December which it was when I went in 2003.

Phil Lee 01-27-2013 10:35 AM

I'll be as near to the front row in Manchester as I can get.

Macfanforever 01-27-2013 11:30 AM

I'm glad that you guys are getting some shows of this tour.

poetinmyheart 01-27-2013 12:43 PM

I'll be as close to the front in London. And so the inevitable Ticketmaster stress begins.....

Do you think they will go on sale soon?

I'm thinking about the London show(s) for a change. I've previously seen them in Glasgow and Newcastle.

There's nothing up on ticketmaster yet but if the radio stations are starting to talk about it and Mick is over here promoting the Rumours re-release, it can't be long now.

True. I'm with O2 and have some sort of priority thing for the London tickets. They're supposed to send me a message 48 hours in advance of the tickets going on sale, but I won't hold my breath ;)

Yeah, I'm with 02 too.

Am hoping the Manchester show will have a pre-sale with them.

I'm guessing the tickets will go on general sale this Friday, but who knows??

There's a show in Las Vegas on Stevie's birthday, too.

Remember there was that one show where Stevie kept flashing 5 fingers twice, to indicate that she was 55.

Sorry Michele, just saw this after I posted!

The crowd threw penguins on stage when it was John's birthday (in Birmingham I think) - so maybe something could be planned for LB;)

I'm sure Stevie will mention something, just wish I could make it up there but it's a bit far sadly.

Phil Lee 01-27-2013 04:17 PM

Here's John with the penguins.

Nice. I wonder what things Lindsey identifies or is associated with that people could put on the stage. Does he have a mascot? Poodles?

Beach Boys/Beatles maybe. Cory wrote that he got a poster once from the audience and he didn't know if it was his or if it was given to all the FM men to share and when he found out it was given to him specifically, he was very pleased.

People could throw him devil stuffed animals onstage. My Little Demon and all.

I'm also with O2 Priority. I'm in two minds about getting my tickets through them. When I've tried before for other concerts, they've only had one section available to choose seats from. I want to get as close to the front as possible. Perhaps it'll be different this time. Worth a try I guess. The alternative is the stress of ticketmaster on general release day - a website I am not a fan of. Exciting times though. Am glad dates have finally been announced :D

I had a look at the 02 Priority section on their site last night and as you say they are a bit sketchy re; choice of tickets.

I can't say I find getting decent tickets exciting, just stressful! When I went to the 2003 shows (I was too ill to attend in 2009) I paid over the odds on ebay but can't afford to do that this time. Is Live Nation a good place to get them from?

Best of luck to everyone anyway.

poetinmyheart 01-28-2013 05:09 PM

Are there release dates yet? When does O2 Priority booking start? Anyone heard?

Not heard anything myself but I'm guessing either next Friday or maybe Friday after??

I'm sure more dates will be added though, didn't they play the 02 three times in 2009? Have they even mentioned Ireland? Dublin always sells out super fast. I can't see those dates being the only ones can you?

No, I would be surprised if they are the only dates. Dublin will surely be a must visit - plus other European cities.

Checked Live Nation/Ticketmaster earlier; nothing showing up as yet. Will keep an eye on it. Want to know ahead of time when they go on sale. I'll likely be teaching and unable to book online myself so will have to get my sister on ticket duty (unless I tell a white lie and come into work late - very tempting!)

Thanks for checking. Ticketmaster usually email me in advance so if no-one else hears I'll post here as quick as I can.

I'll be at work too dammit, might have to do something similar;)

Fleetwood Mac 'coming to UK in September'

Mick Fleetwood confirms band will play UK shows and also hints at new album plans

Fleetwood Mac are to play live shows in the UK in the autumn, Mick Fleetwood has confirmed.

The band are due to embark on a world tour from April of this year, with US dates already in place. However, there are yet to be concrete plans for any shows in the UK announced. Speaking to BBC 6Music, Fleetwood confirmed that the group are heading across the Atlantic, most likely in September or October. "We're doing a big world tour that starts in April. We're coming here [the UK] in September, October and maybe a bit longer. We're doing a lot of work here so we are coming," he said.

The drummer also revealed that there is a new Fleetwood Mac album in the pipeline and that new songs will be released online in the coming months. "We decided, myself and Lindsey [Buckingham], went into the studio and created a calling card for Stevie (Nicks) letting her know we wanted to make new music. We had the greatest time and we made some really good music. Then her mother died and it wasn't time for her to be singing. Just recently though she has sung on three of them and we've recorded one original song of hers. So, we're going to go crazy and there will be something out that we will play onstage and that might become part of a long term plan over the next year. Our wish is going to come true and we will finish an album. I hope there is a demand for it, after we throw two or three songs out on the internet, and we might make an album."

It was long rumoured that Fleetwood Mac would perform at this year's Glastonbury Festival. However, the booking of a number of US dates on the same weekend in June appears to rule that possibility out.

Meanwhile, a reissued version of the band's classic album 'Rumours' was released this week to coincide with its 35th anniversary.

LOL at Mick using the same phrase as Stevie.

So, I guess he's not much into the internet either.

I am trying not to be delusional, but when Mick says "we're doing a lot of work here" it makes me wonder if they plan on doing something else in the UK aside from concert dates. Are the concerts they're playing the "work" he was talking about.

Also, in another interview, he expressed hope that maybe they could play Glasonbury in 2014.

I found it very interesting that Mick says he was the one who started that Glastonbury rumour to begin with.

When they ran with the story (in 2013, not in past years), they were quoting Stevie saying that she would love to do it.

Yes that happened several days ago. I don't know if it means anything
There's a rumour that they'll be in France on the 11th of October, in Paris, Bercy, but i kind of doubt it since in 2009 they did Le Zénith, which is like half of Bercy, and i don't think it was completely full (well maybe i didn't really look around to be fair)

The dance 01-31-2013 07:48 AM

A few years ago they played in Ahoy Rotterdam and in Sporpaleis Antwerp.
Rotterdam was sold out so i think they will come again.
Antwerp was not sold out but alsmost. So i also think/hope they will do Anwerp again!!!:]

They probably will but their following is bigger there. Le Zénith was PERFECT though it was one of the smallest venues of the tour. I WANT LE ZENITH PLEASE
