What are the most Unique (or Strangest) recordings by FM?

Since we are on the poll kick, I thought I'd bend your ear to find out the Strangest, Most Outlandish, or Unique recording by the band.

The Green Manalishi
Blood on the Floor
Dragonfly
Road Runner
Tusk
Honey Hi
Cool Water
Lizard People
These Strange Times
Illume'

Of course, they couldn't all fit into one thread, so honorable mentions are: Man of the World, Danny's Chant, Thought's on a Grey Day, The Derelict, Bermuda Triangle, The Farmer's Daughter, Paper Doll, Murrow Turning Over

As far as recorded songs go, I voted for Lizard People  but would honorably mention Ricky as well.

As for recordings in general, I present the following video:

yes, I agree Ricky was very different but wasn't sure everyone would know it.

WTF was that video? Glad Mick just acted in the 80's and not produced/wrote any films :D

thx for posting.

None of the above.

THOUGHTS ON A GREY DAY.

I think These Strange Times is a weird song, too.

Lizard People. What a terrible song!!!!!!:distress::distress:

Unique and obscure aren't necessarily the same things. Unique: I went with Tusk and Dragonfly. Obscure: Blood on the Floor is good--but Coming Home (1974) epitomizes that concept for me.

I strongly disagree. I'd much rather listen to that (& "These Strange Times") than most of Stevie's released tunes between 86-94.

I know what you mean. I still can't listen to Unconditional Love...lol.

Unique... Tusk and Cool Water (meh).

Hehehe thanks!
I can't include something from The Other Side of the Mirror and what she released with FM on Tango in the Night. For the rest, maybe you're right...

That's All For Everyone

A great piece. I wonder whether any of the group is involved apart from Lindsey.

MacShadowsBall 01-22-2013 06:08 PM

What the heck, I voted for Tusk. Unique and strange yet a hit song!

Jondalar 01-22-2013 06:38 PM

The strangest song I thought they ever did was The Ledge.

BombaySapphire3 01-23-2013 03:24 PM

Tusk is not only Fleetwood Mac's weirdest hit single it is one of the weirdest songs ever to make the top ten..loved it then and now.

bluefox4000 01-23-2013 03:35 PM

I did not read through the thread, but.....The Ledge. I was blown back by it. Oh, and I love it.

Villavic 01-23-2013 07:33 PM

Lizard People was winning, but Tusk is in the top right now!

gypsy-sara 03-06-2013 04:31 AM

Make Me A Mask - so strange, so obscure, but oh so beautiful! :D

Conga 03-06-2013 05:41 AM

It's weird to me that Blood On the Floor and Dragonfly are on there instead of The Ledge. That was pretty out there and avante garde, actually, love it though. Lizard People is a nice slice of oddness, I actually enjoy it (am I the only one) and for some reason I always have Ricky on playlists, it doesn't jive with the rest of Tango, but I like it as a silly catchy pop song. These Strange Times sort of seems like self-parody and it's hard to take the things Mick is saying seriously, though it seems he isn't trying for comedy here, but I still put it on every once in a while.
