Favorite FM album after Stevie and Lindsey Joined
Just want to know, it's sorta broad but ya know.

Tusk, closely followed by Say You Will. but none of FM albums come anywhere close to favorite LB solo albums for me. and of course, almost nothing can touch aborted original Gift Of Screws. |
Gosh! Crazy hard! I picked Tusk though - it's a work of art :)
Now because I like lists  if I ranked them... Tusk Rumours Fleetwood Mac Mirage SYW Live The Dance Tango in the Night (I'm sorry, I just can't consider anything with LB's absence :distress:) |
Haha same here, I hate Time and BTM i just put them on it cause some people may really like it, we have pretty much the same list except rumours is one for me only because of all the emotion you feel really.

Tusk
Fleetwood Mac Rumours SYW Live Time BTM The Dance Tango Mirage LIB |
I wish you had made this a public poll. It's always more fun to see who likes what.
Tusk White Album Mirage Rumours SYW TITN Live Behind The Mask The Dance Time doesn't even exist in my world |
Tusk is literally the online fan's rumours. Coming on the ledge and voting tusk is the equivalent to voting for rumours in a general public poll. But what can I say. We just know what the hell were talking about. I voted tusk. It's not even close. Tusk is not only fleetwood macs best album, but my favorite album by any artist.
|
Tusk and Say You Will - both purely for Lindsey's stuff!:D
|
Counting only FM albums with LB on them. (and no live and comp albums) So in my list of only 6 albums here you go.
Tusk Fleetwood Mac Rumours SYW Tango Mirage |
Tusk
FM-Rumours (tie) TITN Mirage BTM SYW Honorable mentions to the new songs on the never were, but should have been albums: GH, Chain, Dance |
I really have a soft spot for The Dance. Tusk/Rumours/White album are probably easy runner-uppers ;)
|
1. Tusk (The Greatest Album. OF. ALL. TIME.)
2. Rumours (The Other Greatest Ablum. OF. ALL. TIME.) 3. Fleetwood Mac 4. Say You Will 5. Tango in the Night 6. Mirage |
Tusk is heads and tails ahead of the rest. That album truly changed the way I view & enjoy music.
I probably listen to the Live '80 album most these days, though. It's such a moment in time, and has a great flow & energy. |
(I originally listed only the studio albums that feature both Lindsey & Stevie, but here's my adjusted list to include all post-1975 studio & live albums....)
1. Tango 2. Rumours 3. Tusk 4. Say You Will 5. Fleetwood Mac 6. Behind The Mask 7. Mirage 8. The Dance 9. Live 10. Time 11. Live In Boston (love the DVD, but the CD is majorly lacking due to the song selection) |
I love them all but Had to come down to studio albums for me to choose it would be Tusk and Say You Will which I voted for both of them and the poll took it.

Good idea for a poll! Here is my ranking:
Tusk Rumours Fleetwood Mac Mirage Say You Will Tango in the Night Live Time The Dance Live in Boston Behind the Mask |
Could any other album but Tusk top the list? :)
TUSK! Rumours Live, '80 White Album Say You Will Mirage The Dance Tango In the Night Behind the Mask Time (is this really Fleetwood Mac or a band that Clifford Davis assembled? |

Band that sued Cliff Davis: Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie, and Bob Welch. Time band: Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie, Billy Burnette, Bekka Bramlett, and Dave Mason. Seems like mostly the same band to me. |
MIRAGE!! I'm listening to it right now
Then... - Live - Tusk - Say You Will - The Dance - The White Album - Tango In The Night - Rumours - Behind the Mask and Time |
If I had to rank them.
1) Tusk 2) Rumours 3) White Album 4) Say You Will / Mirage / Tango 5) Behind the Mask 6) Time My top three are definitely those, although I love them all almost equally and it was hard to put them into an order. I love Say You Will exempting 1 or 2 songs (and then 1 or 2 songs that I think are better live), for some reason I just can't say I love it quite as much as those first three.. And then with Mirage and Tango, I don't love all of the songs, but the songs I do love, I love QUITE a lot. Nothing on Behind the Mask stands out to me. And then I don't really like Time at all. I am not including The Dance or Live because those aren't studio albums. For the record, I adore them both. |

i can't include any of the band albums after Lindsey left because i've never heard them, and i would count live albums separately.
so of 6 studio albums with Lindsey, here is my order: Tusk Say You Will Rumours Fleetwood Mac Mirage / Tango i voted for Tusk when this poll first came out and it's definitely #1 on my list, but now i feel bad i didn't vote for SYW because i love it and it needs some votes, while Tusk (i'm really pleasantly surprised!) has tons already. |

Tusk (obviously.. it's simply their best in my opinion, has the most depth. A work of art.)
Rumours - never understood why some people let the fact that it has become so overblown affect their opinion of the actual music.. Timeless, great songs, stellar production. Tango - *this one is tricky.. I'm thinking of my personal version of Tango, which includes all the B-sides, Joan of Arc (which I know some people argue isn't a mac demo, but to my ears, theres no question.. the production screams Lindsey) and omits a few songs that made it onto the actual album. Say You Will - Again, I'm using my SYW playlist as the reference here. Omits a few Lindsey & Stevie songs, includes Not Make Believe. Fleetwood Mac & Mirage are pretty much tied- both have songs I love, songs I don't care for, and both represent Lindsey at his weakest (songwriting, not production) if you ask me. That said...Rhiannon, Over My Head, Say You Love Me, I'm So Afraid & Crystal & Landslide . Gypsy, Eyes of The World, Hold Me, Straight Back & Book of Love  |

The band that released "Time" more resembled the band that had to fight to use its name than the current version of Fleetwood Mac. The core of the band -Mick, John, and Christine- was the same in 1995 as it was in 1971. That's why I've never gotten this "I don't consider [Time] a 'real' Fleetwood Mac album" schtick. Really? So, "Future Games", "Bare Trees", "Penguin", "Mystery To Me", and "Heroes Are Hard To Find" weren't "real" Fleetwood Mac albums? |
Tusk
Rumours Tango (sometimes Tango is my second place choice) SYW Fleetwood Mac Mirage Time BTM |
Unlike most Ledgies, I don't care for the Tusk album. Lindsey's Mac songs are always my least favorite on every Mac album, too much of his songs on this album (I know, I know running time it's about equal per Lindsey/Stevie/Christine). Plus Christine's Tusk songs are so boring! While I love Sisters and Angel, one person can't carry a whole album for me.
I'm voting for three albums - '75 FM, Rumours, and Tango in the Night. Strong output from Christine on all three albums and Stevie's vocal really shines on Dreams and Gold Dust Woman. Tango has a nice cohesive '80's sound to it. |

I played Tusk, and i watched the Tusk documentary, and i read about Tusk, and nowadays it has simply become the reason why i don't really listen to Fleetwood Mac anymore, aside from this record. Tusk, with its multiple influences, made me realize that there was better music out there. And now i constantly look for new things (but to be fair i always get back to FM). I'm not kidding. I actually can explain how every album i listen to is somehow related to Tusk (yes, even the rap ones). Tusk is, in my mind, the mother of all albums. |
I had to go with Tango. It was my first Fleetwood Mac album, and is what led me to all the rest, and my favorite to this day.
|
I was looking for a favorite album poll of this lineup. Didn’t find it without a specific question (excluding a member’s songs, favorite cover, favorite track order, etc.). But this 2013 poll comes closest to the simple question, except it includes the Post-Rumours albums.
Interesting that the White and Tango are tied. But more interesting, The Dance got 7 votes and Live 0. |
