Stevie Nicks, Other Music Stars Share Their Plans for the Christmas Holiday

It's been a busy year for many music stars, and with the holidays almost here some artists are ready to spend some well-deserved downtime with their loved ones.

Throughout 2012, Stevie Nicks toured extensively behind her latest solo album, In Your Dreams, and also began preparing for Fleetwood Mac's upcoming tour, but she recently told ABC News Radio that she planned to be home for more than a week during Christmastime.

"That's exciting for me, 'cause I'm kind of Mrs. Santa," she explained, "so I gather everybody together."

you do know she has no control where she is booked (and probably has no clue where is is until someone tells her ) an agent books her into area/ markets
where she will sell and everyone will profit

Ya, ya, ya, but you can't tell me that she didn't notice that she didn't play her hometown. Of many years where she still has family. the album she's the most proud of" your argument would hold water if I was in a random location. FOR YEARS, she blabbed on about Phoenix and how much it meant to her. And now, nothing.

Maybe it's just too painful for her to go there now that her Mom & Dad are gone?

Pretty certain based on comments from interviews that she considers home to currently be the "rock and roll penthouse" in Malibu Beach, California. Although I believe she still has a house near L.A. and another in Hawaii. :nod:

I used to think she had a house in Hawaii, but then I heard her reference renting a house when she vacations in Hawaii. :shrug:

She is in Arizona for Christmas.

i'm also curious though, whats up with Stevie's housing situation? I know she has the penthouse in Malibu, but doesn't she like sleep in a condo 3 minutes away or something? And whose daughter lives in her garage again?And why does she own a house just so other people's children can live there when she doesn't live there herself? :laugh:

I Looovvvveeee.....the pic. I can imagine how difficult this holiday season has been without her mother, and also with her mothers anniversary coming up. It's nice to see a smile, and just her let down her hair and have fun. She deserves it. :angel:

Wow what a cutie in those photos.She looks like she's having a ball with her friends .First Christmas without her mom and dad . This this a special time for her.Its part of healing.I'm going through the same thing.

It's Jess Nicks, Christopher and Glen Parrish in the photos. Not sure who the other young lady is or the young girl. Looks like they were at a Christmas party and having a good time. Who is Nancy Nicks? She made a comment asking how the picture got on the Facebook page and then said something about "effing groupies" that wasn't too cool.

I might be wrong but I think Nancy is Stevie's cousin John's ex.

Funny she would say that about groupies -- it can't be a surprise. In fact, I've come to expect stuff to pop up. Glen, Jessi, etc. all post pics all the time & are "friends" with fans. Do they really think people wont share?? Ha. I think not.

Remember, last year we got to see Stevie in a pool hall with Jessi & a bunch of opened gifts laying around.

I'm fully aware of that but groupies is something totally different. I don't consider myself a groupie, I never slept with anyone to get close to Stevie or the band. I don't think that was a nice thing to say of Ms. Nancy Nicks because indirectly we've paid for her lifestyle. If it wasn't for us, Stevie would still be waiting tables.

She has an apt in Phoenix? Would have thought she would stay in a hotel. But, it looked like a public place to me anyway.

I'm sure it's not but it reminded me of an office holiday party, with all that harsh overhead lighting. I'm surprised Stevie allowed photographs! :o

The picture posted from this year was taken at her rented villa in Arizona. The lighting was exaggerated by the flash. She doesn't like pictures at these functions and expressly asks that they not be posted on Facebook or Twitter. Glen is the king of posting this stuff as soon as he takes it.

Um, NO. That makes him the equivalent of that friend who will NOT put down the camera and takes pictured (then POSTS them!) Even when yo u ask them not to. Not cool. (I'm just a little bitter. Cause I just spent minutes UN-tagging myself in some less than flattering photos that someone ELSE posted. That person said "you look fine" but I didn't want it posted so I un-taged myself. BUT at least I HAVE that option. STEVIE does not, before she knows it, these pics just go everywhere, and that's not cool. Not that she doesn't look great cause she does, and not that it doesn't make me smile to see her happy, cause it does, but am I the only one who isn't interested in these type of pics? I only want/need to see Stevie as "STEVIE" my favorite artist. Not "Stevie chillin with her cousins at Christmas ", cause that is NONE of my business.

Stevie's not dumb. And she's certainly known Glen long enough to know what he is like. If she were really ticked at him posting pics (and if this is not the first time), she'd have made that perfectly clear to him, and would not pose for any of these pics. I actually think Stevie is a bit savvier about social media these days than she will admit.... she understands how it goes out there these days, even if she herself isn't at the keyboard....she has minions and advisers who type/troll etc on her behalf and she is a woman who prides herself on carefully cultivating her image with her fans/the media. I bet she's perfectly fine with these kinds of benign, flattering photos. Doubt you'll see unflattering photos of her from anyone who wants to stay in her close circle.

I can tell you Stevie does request that these photos at her private events remain private. She is gracious when posing for pics but she is pissed when they show up on FB. She took photos herself at this party and noticed every flaw in every picture. She is savvy about her image and how she wants to look. Nothing else. She had a professional photographer taking pictures with friends, family at the Beacon and each photo had to be cleared before receiving it.

Wow Such discussion over one of our favorite celebs and their holiday outings. I don't come here to hate or even discuss what SN likes or dislikes about the intrusion of her private life with family and friends....nor do I expect to see it posted by other fans.

It is sad and I choose Not to look at the photos. I'm not judging, however as I understand the fan attraction to one of the greatest women to walk the planet.
My Question to you, Phoenix....are you in fact the most fabuolous Ms. Nicks...or at least one of her many wonderful assistants?

How is it that you know so much about Ms. Nicks and what she would like/dislike?
