Stevie @ Breaking Dawn pt 2 Premiere

Saw this one twitter. I'm amused.

I like the skirt. That's different.

Does anyone else find it odd that Stevie always appears at these events sans date? I know she likes to keep her private life quiet... but I just can't imagine that she is lacking for dates. She must be keeping someone in the closet! Ironic that she would write "Love that starts out in the darkness doesn't do well in the light..."

Even if she did have a date, aren't the paps usually more interested in getting photos of the celebrity sans the not-famous-other-half? It would be one thing if she showed up with, say, Lindsey Buckingham as her date...but otherwise, I think the photos ops would probably be Stevie only.

MichaelaM 11-12-2012 10:22 PM

I love the new duds!! As for a date, Stevie doesn't need a man trailing behind her! She's too cool and independent for that! I think she is getting plenty from Dave Stewart and Bill Clinton. Keeping it in the dark just like she likes it !!!!

But if you're not in the business, maybe you wouldn't want to appear at these events and they wouldn't constitute a real "date" anyway. In fact, they could seem kind of boring or inconvenient to an outsider. It's not a place where you could spend time with one another. I'd more expert to see her and her amore at dinner or on vacation somewhere.

I think most people usually come without a date, unless they are married or something. I usually see photos of stars by themselves at these sort of things, or simply posing with whomever they might be adjacent to on the carpet.

Oh, that's right... people never go to movies on a date.

That dude with the dye-from-a-box hair and the turtleneck (!) frightens me. Forget Stevie. I just need Kristin Stewart's autograph and my poster is complete. I can now die.

How many 60 year old men are dying to see the Twilight premiere??

Aside from that, movies make a fine date, get me a bucket of popcorn! But a movie premiere where you have to wear formal attire: not so much fun, if you're not in the business.

Yeah, that guy obviously wanted to go to the Twilight premiere, but I don't think I want Stevie to date him.

She looks good! I like the outfit and boots.

fringed n fab 11-13-2012 02:29 AM

I admit I like Rob, cute sexy that's a given, no matter what films he is in. But I thought Twilight lost it's sizzle a long time ago. And I cannot stand the fake "togetherness" offscreen of Kristen and Rob. You just know those two are being forced together for the sake of not upsetting the fans and whole love story and Twilight franchise. That's all it is.

APerfectLie 11-13-2012 04:23 AM

Well I know Stevie's people peruse the boards so let me just say that if Stevie ever needs a date to anything, this 23 year old redhead would be on her arm in a heartbeat. And I'm cheaper than free! ;)

Anywho, she looks great! Bummer they didn't summon her to write a song for the soundtrack or use Moonlight!

Artemis 11-13-2012 08:06 AM

Never mind the fact she hasn't got a date, it's a Stevie sighting without gloves. =O

She's been wearing the boots a lot more. I used to wonder why she wore shades so often these days, but looking back since the 70's, she's always sported them here and there, I think it's a rock star thing. I get it now. I love her in black. I love my Stevie-clothes in black. I do wonder though why she never switches it up on these red carpets, wear white or tan beiges or something like she used to do years before when stepping out. Still, she looks so good and so pretty! She's Stevie Nicks she can do whatever she wants

fringed n fab 11-13-2012 09:38 AM

Rob gets a lot of attention but Peter Facinelli is easy on the eyes too. I take it he and Jennie Garth didn't work out in the end because he was busy in L.A. and she wanted to move and have more of a country life in the sticks and he wasn't for it. Can't say I blame him though, country living isn't for me either.

Veteran rocker Stevie Nicks is quite the little Twi-hard. The "Dreams" singer attended Monday night's premiere of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" in Los Angeles and sang the franchise's praises.

"It's bittersweet ... because I really would be happier if it was not ending," Nicks said in an interview with Digital Spy. "I wish it could go on forever. I think that [Stephenie Meyer] is probably ... God knows how long it took her to write this. And it's been five years!"

Nicks went on to compare the film to some of the most celebrated works in history. "It's a huge love story," Nicks said. "It's like 'Wuthering Heights,' it's that kind of story. It's like 'Jane Eyre' ... it's a totally timeless kind of story that we can relate to."

Good video interview with Stevie at this event. Can somebody embed this for me? I can't get it to post. She says she will be back with Fleetwood Mac "the day after tomorrow."

Um, she's no Emily Bronte, so don't even go there. She's not even JK Rowling.

I think the saga will continue though, so Stevie needn't worry. Edward and Bella probably won't be the leads in the next books though.

Pattinson needs to go home and make British movies. I've seen him on The Daily Show and he seems perfectly funny and charming. He needs to be able to translate that charisma to the screen. Maybe it would be easier if he weren't trying to hide his accent.

Stevie Nicks: 'Twilight' Changed My Life

By ROBERT PACE , The Insider
http://www.theinsider.com/music/5703...anged_My_Life/

November 13, 2012

As the final installment of The Twilight Saga nears its release, fans are elated to see the new film yet sad to see the franchise end. Fleetwood Mac vocalist and solo artist Stevie Nicks is one of those diehard fans.

While she has become one of rock 'n' roll's most iconic voices in her many years, Nicks said that she had decided that she wasn't going to put out any more new music until she found inspiration in a seemingly unlikely place--New Moon.

Feeling stirred to create new music once again, Nicks then recorded "Moonlight (A Vampire's Dream)," for which she filmed a Twilight-esque music video and credited the film as her source of inspiration.

The song then convinced Nicks to continue recording music, which led her to make the tall claim that the film changed her life.

"When I finished the song, I got up and said to my assistant, 'I'm ready to do a record now,' and I hadn't done a record in ten years, so this story changed my life," she said. "Bella and Edward, Robert and Kristen, they changed my life and made me decide to make another record 'cause I was never going to make another record."

The album that resulted in 2011 was In Your Dreams, which reached as high as No. 3 on U.S. rock charts. Owing the creation of her album to the film franchise, Nicks admitted to being upset that it was coming to an end.

"It's been a three-year journey for me...since 'New Moon' and I'm a little sick at heart," the 64-year-old singer-songwriter said. "It's very bittersweet for me. I've already written a page of a poem from the first 'Breaking Dawn' movie, so I'm already started."

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn--Part 2 is in theaters this Friday (Nov. 16).

'Twilight' like 'Wuthering Heights', 'Jane Eyre', says Stevie Nicks

Published Monday, Nov 12 2012, Digital Spy
http://www.digitalspy.com/celebrity/...vie-nicks.html

Stevie Nicks has compared the Twilight saga to classic nineteenth century romantic literature.

The Fleetwood Mac musician said at the Los Angeles premiere of Breaking Dawn - Part 2 that she finds Stephenie Meyer's novels to be "kind of timeless".

Nicks said when asked how she felt about the end of the movie series: "It's bittersweet... because I really would be happier if it was not ending. I wish it could go on forever. I think that [Stephenie] is probably... god knows how long it took her to write this. And it's been five years!

"It's a huge love story... I was just saying to the last [journalist], it's like Wuthering Heights, it's that kind of story... it's like Jane Eyre... it's a totally timeless kind of story that we can relate to."

Nicks also commented on the fervent fan reception for the movie's stars at the premiere, saying: "Well, it must be pretty fantastic and at the same time disturbing... I'm used to it, but I don't think you ever get 'used' to it. It's wonderful, and I love it, but at the same time it's kind of scary.

"If you're one of the chosen few that has an audience that loves you so much, it's a beautiful thing, and they will carry it with them for the rest of their lives."

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 opens on Friday, November 16. Watch a clip from the movie below:

I don't think we'd ever see her swoon over a young actor. She'd see herself much too mothering for that. Though it's certainly never stopped Cher or other stars from making over/dating much younger.

Well, she did swoon a little over that young singer on American Idol. But I just wondered if she approved of the casting. Reading her other comments from last night where she praised both Edward and Bella and Rob and Kristen for inspiring her to put out another album, I guess she likes the casting fine. Stephenie Meyer, on the other hand, may think they didn't bring out everything she envisioned in her characters. I know with the graphic novels that have been published, Meyer always emphasizes the fact that those comic portrayals are what she had in mind when she was writing.

True. Phillip Phillips is cute though and I could see where she thought he favored a young Lindsey in certain aspects.

Fleetwood Mac the day after tomorrow? Now THAT is fantastic news. Honestly, there was no need for them to get together until after the holidays if they were just going to do a "hits" tour. I think something is brewing, either new music or some sort of project. Maybe Lindsey is going to play her the demos? Oh wait, Lindsey is on tour...ehh thats not good. Maybe he'll phone in or something?

I'm not sure she was saying that she's going to be working with FM the day after tomorrow, but rather that once her event tomorrow night (or tonight, I guess), whatever that might be, is over, she has no more "solo/In Your Dreams" related commitments, and therefore, starting "the day after tomorrow," she belongs to Fleetwood Mac.

Sort of like closing one book and opening the next...
