I wish there were something in the south but alas... no such luck.
Still, glad this is occurring so more people can have the opportunity to see it / attend the Q&A's! |
It's sold out.
|
By the time it gets to MVFF it'll be on DVD. lol
I am glad they are plugging this and getting multiple showcasing opportunities. I also think forever the east coast will be showered w/ as many SN stops as possible since the IYD cancelation. |

So I got my tickets  but more interesting could this mean that Stevie is staking out the month of October to screen "In Your Dreams" at even more select theaters. The only other obligation she's signed up for is Elton Johns AIDS Foundation on Oct 15th in NYC. It would be hard to believe that she'd intentionally ignore the L.A. area entirely. Perhaps they are waiting to see if these screening garner good reviews and feedback.

does anyone have an extra ticket?? if so please message me!!! thanks!!
|
I was too late for this too. If anyone ends up with an extra ticket, please think of me! PM

This is from the theater website.
In Your Dreams: Stevie Nicks “Special Events” With her bewitching, emotionally charged songs––from “Rhiannon” to “Landslide”, “Dreams” to “Gypsy”––singer/songwriter Stevie Nicks cemented her status as one of the most distinctive female voices in rock history as a member of Fleetwood Mac and through her own solo career. Producer/songwriter Dave Stewart was one half of the influential pop/rock group Eurythmics with Annie Lennox. In 2010, these two icons paired up to write and record Nicks’ highly acclaimed album, IN YOUR DREAMS. Co-directed by Stewart and Nicks, this rousing documentary charts the album’s creation and peeks inside their unique creative process. more Dave Stewart/Stevie Nicks. 2011. 101 m. NR. USA. Today was probably the closest experience to hanging out in Stevie's living room that anyone can have. The doc showed first and then she came up on the stage with the moderator, and Stevie just talked and talked and talked and was even more gracious and more down to earth than she was yesterday. No Dave btw. I was blown away with how intimate yesterday felt, but that was topped by how today was just so informal and really just Stevie having the floor for an hour.
She touched on a few things we hadn't heard much about before, some about the owl and horse and filming in the middle of the night. She joked about being lost in the Hamptons and some stuff about using 9 seconds of Led Zep footage in the doc. She took about 7 or 8 questions from the audience. Some good some ehh. Basically she just was in a very chatty mood and it was awesome! At the end she shook hands with pretty much anyone who came up to the stage (a la edge walk) and she was continuing to answer questions thrown to her while shaking our hands. I finally got the guts to ask her something...just asked her if after this experience with Dave if she finds herself and the people she surrounds herself with videoing each other more. She said no, not really but that she takes LOTS of pictures. It was a question of not much substance but I will forever have the memory of the moment that she turned back to have the 2-3 sentence exchange with me. I am sorry for being vague and am missing so much more because I'm still in awe. There were a few other Ledgies there and so i'm sure they will report back at some point. I attempted to audio record again and will upload if anyone is interested. I know there will be some video up on YT by some others too. |

I just got back from the IYD screening.I have to say.I LOVE IT.Now I cant wait for its release.
First It felt strange going to see Stevie without her singing a note or too. Since I have not step into a movie theatre probably about 25 years.I did felt strange. Stevie look so awesome and relaxed up there in the Q&A session .I missed out on the question thing.by the time that a couple came to mind .The microphone guy ran off to the otherside.I gave her a wave "She waved back" since I was sitting up in the front on the right row. I got some photos and vids of the Q&A session. It was nice meeting up with you guys at the show. Amlyn .Yes post the Q&A.thanks. Let me get my crap together then I will add more later. |
As I was thinking .If the theater did not have that 7:30 movie tonight.Stevie and us probably still be chatting away there probably up to 9pm or later.

Did Dave Stewart direct it?
|
When I was at the screening .I remember seeing a pro photographer roaming around the theater floor taking photos of Stevie and the audience..
So far those photos have not shown up anywhere on the net and the Jacob Burns website. Has anybody notice this too. |

I got this photo from the Jacob Burns film center website.
It took them awhile to post it. From the left ,New York Times critic Janet Maslin, JBFC Executive Director Steve Apkon, and Stevie I remember there was a pro photog roaming the floor that night but have not seen any of the photos surfaced on the JBFC website or anywhere else online . |
