Jondalar 09-11-2012 04:45 PM

thank u :)

sleepless child 09-11-2012 06:25 PM

this is good news. I was wondering if we would ever see this documentary.

jkmaletic 09-11-2012 06:48 PM

I was able to find more info. Looks like she's screening it at this festival on Oct. 12, at 6:30 pm. It's listed as 99 minutes long.

http://prod3.agileticketing.net/webs...=10/12/2012~0&

I would have tried to go to this, even though it'd be a 9 hour drive for me, but I'm leaving for Arkansas THAT DAY (figures, right?).

Hopefully she'll schedule more screenings, in the SoCal area preferably for me. I mean, after all, she did skip us entirely this last time around.

I hope someone here gets to attend this. I've been to a couple Q and A's before with Stevie and they were AMAZING! Don't pass this up if you have the chance!!

Jamie

Josh2003 09-11-2012 07:13 PM

Yay! So glad to see it's finally, actually seeing the light of day! I hope this is the first of many screenings (including some near me)!

I hope so, too! I wonder if the documentary will make the film festival circuit this Fall? I know we have a film festival here in Austin at the end of next month. If the documentary is shown at a few festivals successfully, it could certainly lead to the it's limited release in small, independent theaters. That would be very exciting.

mitzo 09-11-2012 08:17 PM

I hope I will be able to buy it rather than wait for it to creep into a local specialty cinema.

Macfanforever 09-11-2012 08:30 PM

To bad the Cannes film festival is held in May.

Macfanforever 09-11-2012 08:36 PM

I wonder if Stevie and Dave can get PBS to air the docu.

michelej1 09-11-2012 09:26 PM

It would be great if Stevie's day happened to be a weekend. Michele

WildHearted 09-11-2012 09:41 PM

It would be wonderful if I didn't live on the other side of the country and weren't completely broke.

But alas...

STEVIE NICKS Brings her In Your Dreams Documentary To Mill Valley Film Festival

Exciting news!! Stevie Nicks will be screening her In Your Dreams Documentary on the making of her album In Your Dreams at the Mill Valley Film Festival which takes place between October 4th to 14th at the CinéArts at Sequoia and 142 Throckmorton Theatre (Mill Valley) and at the Christopher B. Smith Rafael Film Center (San Rafael).

Stevie's screening takes place on October 12th at 6:30pm. Stevie will be on hand after the screening to answer questions.

In Your Dreams: Stevie Nicks

FOCUS: ROCK’N’SOUL • SPECIAL PREMIERE Decadent rock star, ’70s survivor, gypsy songbird, cape-clad dervish, white-winged dove—the inimitable Stevie Nicks has entranced millions of fans worldwide with her poetic lyrics, sultry singing and featherand-lace style. Having remained a powerful pop force for more than four decades, in 2010 Nicks embarked on the recording of a new solo album, In Your Dreams, produced by former Eurythmics mastermind Dave Stewart. With cameras in tow, documentarian Stewart and diva Nicks set up shop in her home studio and reveal their collaborative creative process, as snippets of words and music undergo inspired tinkering and emerge as fully fledged gems. Throughout, Nicks shares intimate memories of childhood and her high-flying days with Fleetwood Mac, reflects on Hurricane Katrina in a particularly moving song and insists on just the right guitar solo even as Stewart and album co-producer Glen Ballard challenge her choices. Shifting dynamically among video formats, painstaking recording sessions and revealing interviews, this magic-tinged musical journey is a loving and tuneful portrait of the eternally bewitching Gold Dust Woman.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Sunday, September 16, 2011, at 10:00 am.

The link is saying "Advance Tickets Are No Longer Available".

Does that mean it's sold out already, or that tix are only available at the box office? Or the day of the screening?

I'm less than 2 hrs away and would hate to miss this... :distress:

This just in from the Hamptons International Film Festival site...

"An Afternoon with Stevie Nicks $30"

Wut? Dying...

http://hamptonsfilmfest.org/box-office/

FYI, "regular screenings" are $15, so, if nothing else, based on the price alone, there is reason to suspect that this is something special.

By the look of it (and I only have the ticket cost as reference) I am assuming she won't be there day two. Still for those unable to get tix the 1st day , it's awsome they added another viewing. And tho I will be well into my work day back in Portland, I still felt compelled to buy a ticket for day two. Maybe something amazing will happen and I won't have to be to work Saturday after all. And the airport will have zero problem transferrng my tickets to another day...and winged unicorns will fly out of my ass.

BombaySapphire3 10-01-2012 09:01 PM

Picked up a couple for Sat...guess I'll make my date sit through it as well..Hopefully it won't be too bad.

LilyRose 10-02-2012 03:32 PM

I got a couple tickets for Saturday, she's not listed as a guest that day, though.

I have one ticket for Friday, but I need at least one more. Please, if anyone has anything, let me know! Thanks!

Karlie 10-07-2012 05:30 AM

I have an extra Friday ticket! PM me if you want it! :D
