Try as I might, I just can't picture Alanis Morissette as a "rocker" so I'm a bit baffled as to why she's on that poll in the first place  Go Stevie go!

I shocked that Ann Wilson ,Chrissie Hynde and Linda Ronstadt is not nominees list.

Placed my vote for Stevie. I pretty much like all the ladies in the poll. Debbie and Pat are very good live. I'm surprised Joan Jetts votes are so low, she really rocks in concert.
Funny back in the late 90's I gave Alanis Morissette a ride from the hotel I was working at in San Diego to the other end of the property. She seemed really nice.

:thumbsup:How cool & lucky you to have spent a few min's with Alanis, i was a big fan back then, also went to her concert in 98, she was fantastic..

I love all of the wonderful women on this list, but Stevie will always be the one and only Queen Of Rock. But, I really do appreciate all of the women on the list that are still making music, and writing their own music (which many artist do not). They are all on my favorites list.

I am also baffled by Morrissette being included in here. I find her to be absolutely horrible.

I agree You need a translator to understand the music.

I hate to see Janis Joplin polling so low.
Based on their popularity, I would expect to see Tina Turner or Sheryl Crow before Alanis on this kind of list, not that I would vote for any of them.

I notice Joan and Pat picked up some more votes.

StandbackStevie 09-01-2012 10:45 AM

I would think Ann and Nancy Wilson should be on the list and also Tina Turner instead of Alanis Morrisette I do like Alanis but I don't think she has been in the business as long as everyone else on the list. definetly the 3 legendary Ladies I mentioned should have been on the list as well still Stevie is and always will be Number 1 and The Queen of Rock N Roll as it is written in the rock n roll bible.

There are some glaring omissions to be sure ..like others have pointed out Chrissie and Ann .I don't consider Ronstadt one of them however.I doubt that she would even describe herself as a rock singer and back in the day when she was somewhat in the genre and very popular she was very uneasy with the role. The polar opposite of La Nicks in that regard.
