30 Summer Tour Dates Announced so far for Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac

Shows scheduled through the southern United States, across the south west, up through the mid west and into Canada.

More dates to be announced for sure. Look for dates between August 7th and 18th and possibly a couple between August 28th and Sept 6th aside from Sept 2nd in Iowa City. Not sure how far this leg will stretch beyond what's booked in September, but with the wealth of small venues across the US and Canada, Lindsey could literally tour non-stop for a year and not hit the same place twice! We know that won't happen, it's gotta end at some point as Fleetwood Mac beckons in the first part of 2013 and he'll need to rest up for that... So if you get a chance to see him solo and alone this Summer... DO IT!

Edit: June 22, 2012 6:00pm
Added the following new dates taking it from 23 dates announced to 30:

August 6th - Clearwater, FL
August 8th - Miami, FL
August 17th - Baton Rouge, LA
August 29th - Washburn, WI
August 31st - Council Bluffs, IA
September 1st - Demoines, IA
September 4th - St. Charles, IL

I'll be at the Atlanta show! So glad he added more dates.

GoldDustGypsy 06-22-2012 10:34 PM

Is anyone planning on going to the Franklin show? I have a ticket already but I would really love to meet some ledgies this time around :)

I'm also hoping a VIP for Spartanburg will make itself available to me in some way- it is on my 21st birthday and all.

awww.... are they sold out already? someone told me that the first day of Chicago VIPs is sold out but there were still some available for the second day.

WildHearted 06-22-2012 10:59 PM

I couldn't find VIP for Spartanburg either. If I could have, I'd make the 3 hour trip to go to the show..

Naturally they aren't doing the VIP for the show near me.

I can't make the VIP option come up if they haven't sold out. I was at work when they went on sale and couldn't get to a computer/on my phone until that evening. I know a guy who has a pair and is flip flopping on going, he said he would let me know if he decided not to.

Wow, if any Carolinians can make the Neighborhood Theatre in Charlotte, that's a very cool venue. I used to live right around the corner from there, and saw quite a few shows there (including Leon Russell). I cannot believe Lindsey is playing there... makes me want to fly back to NC for the occasion!

It is an awesome place, was lucky enough to go to a show there years ago. And it's where I plan on seeing Lindsey

Disappointed there is no Minnesota show. Looks like Washburn WI is the closest to me but it will be a bit hard for me logistically since it's midweek. Hopefully I can manage! I have to say I am surprised there are no Minneapolis/St. Paul dates.

GypsySorcerer 06-23-2012 09:54 AM

Damn, no Louisvlle, Cincinnati, or Knoxville. :( I guess it's Franklin or nothing for me.

I am going. As I am new to The Ledge, I have been viewing comments/updates for some time. I can't wait until the show! Also, I may try to make to either one of the following: Charlotte, Carrboro, or Kernersville (since they are so close to me!)

Have a great day! :wavey:

Lindsey Buckingham is having the time of his life.

At the time of his sixth solo album The Seeds We Sow in 2011, Lindsey Buckingham is able to frame his life as a musician and family man in the context of his journey thus far. He attributes his peace to two things. The first is his personal life, “To finally meet someone and to have the family thing happen, that’s been a real gift,” he says. The other is musical. “If there is a level of contentedness that I’ve arrived at, part of it is because I think in the last three or four years what I experienced during the solo albums and then what I experienced on the last Fleetwood Mac tour I felt like I had come to a point where there was so much foundation that I had built for myself making incremental steps forward as a musician and as an artist.”

Certainly, the last few years have been very productive for Buckingham, starting with an out-of-the-blue solo album in 2006, a derailed follow up that morphed into a new studio album for a re-ignited Fleetwood Mac, a re-imagining of the derailed follow up in 2008, a live album and then The Seeds We Sow in 2011.

The Seeds We Sow represents Buckingham taking full control over his career handling all of the recording, production and also releasing himself. The album is a very up-close-and-personal perspective of Buckingham at times sounding like a really well-produced home demo, which I suppose it really is.

I consider Lindsey Buckingham to be a personal musical hero. His distinct sound and contribution to the canon of rock music with his solo work as well as his years in Fleetwood Mac have impacted me at a level that might be chromosomal. I started listening to music on my own around the time of Rumours and his music has been with me ever since. I have been fortunate to see him with the Mighty Mac three times in my life but never solo, so the news that he will be performing at the wonderful Englert Theatre in Iowa City on Labor Day Weekend is exciting news! He will be performing at 8PM on Sunday, September 2rd.

The presale for the show started on Tuesday for Friends of the Englert, and general sale for the show starts on Friday, June 22nd at 1PM. Tickets are $55 for Tier One Tickets and $45 for Tier Two.

LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM CONTINUES U.S. TOUR; NEW DATES BEGIN JULY 26

LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM
CONTINUES U.S. TOUR;

NEW DATES BEGIN JULY 26

June 26, 2012 -- Due to overwhelming demand, LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM is extending his critically-acclaimed U.S. tour with additional dates on the East coast and Midwest. He’s also making a few stops in Canada. The new six-week trek begins July 26 in Birmingham, AL and lasts through September 8 in Rama, Ontario. As for the rest of the country, they need not worry, as even more tour dates are in the works and will be announced in the coming weeks.

In his intimate-one-man show, Lindsey will showcase his distinctive guitar picking style and instantly recognizable voice in his usual awe-inspiring form, captivating his audience with songs from his recent album, SEEDS WE SOW, as well as performing a combination of favorites from his previous solo albums, along with a variety of Fleetwood Mac classics.

Regarding the new tour he says, "As I've grown as an artist, I've gotten more and more in touch with my center, and that center is voice and guitar. Over time it has become increasingly vital to express more with less; that is my touchstone now, and the embodiment of that philosophy is what will be largely represented in the new show. I've been thinking of doing this kind of tour for a while, and am quite excited to be doing something new, something outside my comfort zone."

Even more dates after this? Wow. Hopefully Vegas, because that's the only one I can convince the husband to go to! :)

We are very impatient to hear if he will continue the tour and cover south west States such as Arizona, Nevada, Utah, etc etc.

It is likely that he will - would be strange to miss out such a huge chunk of the country when he's covered practically everywhere else!
