Tentative Meet and Greet Info - Columbus
Just a heads up, I emailed the venue a while back and got a reply..
"We will get details from Lindsey's tour manager on day of show once he sees backstage area. However, just remain in your seats after the show. Most likely, after a few minutes, we will escort VIP ticket holders backstage and then Lindsey's tour manager will bring a few folks at a time in to say hello to Lindsey and get autograph/foto. We know where all VIP holders are seated and we will see you there right after the concert. Thanks. " |
Hmmmm. We know where you are seated.

Thank you for posting that!
I'm so in the dark on how these things work....I just know I will actually get to MEET him and that is really all I'm worried about. |

you know, thinking about it differently, imagine what Lindsey could be thinking looking at the first 2 rows at these M&G shows and seeing all these weird people and going "oh crap i gotta talk to all these weird people and be nice to them afterwards" |

I was thinking the exact same thing. That has to be a rather odd, knowing that you will be greeting a bunch of strangers after the show. Although, I was also thinking unless he has his family with him for the entire tour, I would imagine it might be a little lonely after a while. Maybe having some visitors sounded like a good thing to him. As long as they aren't ladies throwing their underwear at him. I don't think Kristen would approve. LOLOLOL |

and, from what i recall he didn't exactly mind when people threw underwear at him and the band at that one show few years ago - the only thing they wanted to make sure was that each of the guys has a pair (i think Neale was asking whether they dislike him b/c he's an Englishman lol), and that they are in fact ladies undies.  |
I got Meet and Greet passes. I'm so excited. Thanks for posting the information. I was wondering something though. I'm blind, and I know that having an autograph probably wouldn't have much meaning to me. Do you guys think Lindsey would mind possibly recording an audio message for me using my phone? It could be an audio autograph so to speak. I've met other celebs in the past, and they never had any problems with this. But I know people can be funny about these sorts of things. Thanks.

I would imagine he would be totally fine with it! Please let us know what he did/said :)
|
I doubt he would have any problem. I have seem him talk to strangers on other peoples cell phones.

I'm glad Ashley asked. We're going together. We have a cassette of nothing but that. I'm bringing a tape recorder. Thanks for the post. |

Does anyone know if he only signs certain things? If not, does anyone know a site that sells quality pictures/posters of him? I've been scanning ebay and amazon and I've found a few things but nothing special enough to have him sign.

Just got a call from Wexner Center (sponsoring LBs show in Columbus). They're calling all VIP ticket holders to tell them to hold on to their ticket stubs and stay in the their seats to be ushered to the M&G. Just thought I'd give a heads up! She also said LB would be available for one photo, one autograph, and a quick "chat."
Must admit my heart dropped when she said where she was calling from. I immediately thought the worst. Whew! |

Me too!!!!! As soon as the Ohio number popped up on my phone I was thinking "oh no, it's cancelled!" but I was quite surprised and pleased, very nice of them to take the time to let us know how the meet and greet is going to flow. |

having bunch of people who managed to get M&G right in front of him in the first 1 or 2 rows, LB seemed well aware that these were hard core fans who will throw requests at him, ask for RAB, know his deep cuts, start some banter, go nuts etc. it made atmosphere a bit different at M&G shows with reserved seating... concentration of die-hards in first rows made these shows a bit crazier it seemed!! the only drawback at these shows was that he didn't do the hand-shaking-edge walk - i guess since he knew he'd be shaking hands with the first row people afterwards anyway. but - this placed people who didn't get to snatch M&G tix but managed to get upfront during GYOW at a disadvantage - they didn't get the handshakes or high-fives. :(:distress: EDIT: although he actually did some handshakes in Columbus. just not everybody upfront like at non-M&G shows. |
