UK & Ireland tour Confirmed.

Well Almost confirmed....
:blob2:
Just got a bit of great news this morning. Lindsey has agreed 12 dates in the UK and Ireland with some concert promoter. The tour kicks off promptly 1 month after his US tour ends to be excat.
Obviously can reaveal my sources, but its concrete enough for me.
The shows are small and will be pretty limited seats, meet and greet is optional.
Lindsey has been reported to have said he's really looking forward to it, especially after letting so many people down last year.
Oh and its only the 1st of April today so not long to go either ;)
More to follow shortly.....

Just hope Lindsey and his camp know how important this is to you guys. Best not to announce dates at all than to do it and cancel again.

Fingers crossed for everyone.

Michele

Kind of a cruel prank if you ask me.

Big time - I really believed this was true.

Madness Fades 04-01-2012 02:14 PM

It was a stinker alright, but someone had to do it.

Actually, no. Nobody did.

Thank you for rubbing salt in the wounds.

Bloody hell.

Maybe this excerpt from recent article WILL turn out to be for real:-

"Late last year, Lindsey Buckingham was forced to postpone his UK tour due to guitarist Neale Heywood severely injuring his back. Buckingham will make up the dates after Heywood -- who also performs with Fleetwood Mac -- is well enough to play the dates."

As soon as Neale is better, Lindsey will decide either a) It's back to the studio for another couple of years or b) Let's do yet another American tour now that we have the lineup complete again.....

Very clever April Fool, Madness - well done, brings it back to attention! ;)

Neale seems to be a real English gent and I am choosing to believe his promise - have faith, I think it will happen for us! :)

Trouble is he's not the one who calls the shots...

True, but he might have some influence - and it also occurred to me that Neale's promise could well have been endorsed (albeit silently as far as we're concerned) by Lindsey! ;)

Guess so..

I happen to know an "Oracle" whose predictions have an eerie habit of coming true lately...........watch this space! ;)

WelshWitchPMD 04-01-2012 07:16 PM

Yep. He will hop across the pond once he does those Rhode Island dates. ;)

vivfox 04-01-2012 08:18 PM

This sounds like something iamnotafraid would do.

And be proud of. Though it's easy to spot
a fake when there's no mention of Barry.

Dodfather 04-04-2012 07:16 AM

If this is an April Fool then it is downright nasty and insensitive, especially when the poster knows of the genuine upset that the cancelled tour dates caused before.

It is an April Fools.

I wasn't fooled for a moment and you're definitely right.

D.W-Suite 04-04-2012 09:51 AM

There's no need to be over sensitive about it. We're all really maddened and saddened by the original cancellation, including Madness himself.... I thought it was so obviously an April Fools joke when I first saw the thread title that I didn't even consider it to be anything but. Maybe that's just me though, I've become way too cynical on all Lindsey news lately anyway. Wouldn't even believe it if it were true.

This. He was just laughing at his own misfortune, no big deal.

Madness Fades 04-04-2012 04:09 PM

Now dont let this get out of hand altogether, DW Suite is completely right in everything he said. I couldnt have said it better myself.

I knew it would be a prank but it would also provide a little jag that the Lindsey camp need to feel, And that is that we all collectively still are upset and that we desperately want to see him over in the not to distant future.
