World Turning/Isn't It Midnight

How can both of these songs be winners when they were competing against one another (both co-written with CM)?

good point. guess we can call them co-winners.:)

please refer to the current poll rules here:
http://ledge.fleetwoodmac.net/showpo...9&postcount=24

to reiterate:

designated as poll *winners* will be songs that have at least 2 votes more than a runner-up song. if there are 2 or 3 songs with exact same number of votes, or the winning song has just 1 vote more than the 2nd song, both songs will go into the next round.
[kind of like some weird version of tennis rules - you can't go to another round unless you have 2pt advantage]

this is why the poll of Buckingham-Dashut co-written songs is still open: there are 5 songs all within 1-vote from each other.

if we want to consider different rules, let's discuss.

World turning is ten times more artistic than isn't it midnight. i just cannot Imagine somebody chooses iim above wt. Impossible. THE only thing that makes that song interesting is the guitarsolo, which is exquise, but a solo is not a song..

favorite cover poll result

To Try For The Sun is a clear winner and will move to the next round.

these were poll results:

To Try For The Sun 11

Blue Letter 7
All My Sorrows 2

I agree that "World Turning" is a far better song (even though "Isn't It Midnight" has one of LB's better guitar solos. If I lived in Chicago, I would have gotten some dead relatives to vote for "World Turning."

That's really weird cause I've had threads were I've updated the original post for several months.

On another note, I'm kinda surprised about Go Your Own Way and Tusk not moving on in your contest. Them two songs are generally regarded as top Fleetwood Mac songs as they did really well in my 2010 contest. I suppose though they don't represent as strong as WMYTYTO the anti-love sentiment.
