favorite co-written song (excluding RD and CM cowrites)
 

ok, the last of the polls before starting with the ones according to the topic / tone of the song. we need more discussion on what to include in those before actually starting them.

i realize some might take an issue with Buckingham family members co-written songs, but it seems that some of the Dashut co-written songs had similar level of contribution by the co-writer... ;)

as we would like to be all-inclusive, for people not [that] familiar with some of the songs there will be some vids of the included songs in the subsequent posts.

looking at this list, narrowing it down is pretty easy for me - i really like only Shut Us Down and Come out of all these.

i really dislike Did You Miss Me and What's The World Coming To.

somewhat indifferent towards I Want You (although the alarm clock sound is fun!), Great Day and Love Runs Deeper (although nice guitar solos!) and Say We'll Meet Again.

Stars Are Crazy you all know my thoughts on :p. still, here's couple of live version recordings from Saban:

Come and Great Day get honorable mentions from the jury from the lowlands...

I voted for Did You Miss Me as it's one of my very fave LB songs.

Second would have been What's The World Coming To.

It could have been a good few of these. I went with Stars Are Crazy because there's something very visceral about it. Come and all of the GOS songs were a very close second. And live SUD.

I flipped a coin.....Cause it was between Come and Love Runs Deeper. Loves Runs Deeper won.:nod:

Since it wasn't listed, I went with the other song Stevie's vocal is on in the list, "What's the World Coming To". My favorite lines:

Would have loved to give Kristen props for her co-writes though. Nice work. Subtle, but nice just the same.

Stars are Crazy is also at the top of my list. And, I base my decisions on recorded versions, not live versions. Live my choice would be Shut Us Down, no contest. It remains one of my most memorable/emotional concert experiences.

i plan to collate all polls together in the end somehow, but we are obviously still discussing on what is the appropriate song grouping in all these starting-level polls.

too bad - stupid coin! LRD has enough votes (and i don't like it much:laugh:), but Come has no votes so far and it's such a great song - and so non-mac sounding (in a surprisingly good way!:blob2:). it really deserves a vote.

Too difficult! I chose SUD because LB takes that song to another plane, which is how I feel about ISA, my favorite song EVER. Stars Are Crazy and Love Runs Deeper...I love those as well.

i couldn't decide between Shut Us Down and Come. Since Shut Us Down is moving to the next round with or without my vote, i am voting for Come which i love and cannot believe received no votes although several people in the thread indicated their love for that song.

note: Frozen Love was not a part of this poll (there are 2 separate polls for BN songs). [nor any other of SN songs that LB may have technically co-written with her whether or not he took/received any credit :p. we are going by what's listed in the liner notes.]

Love Runs Deeper and Shut Us Down are moving to the next round, sharing the most votes for a favorite song that LB co-wrote with songwriters other than Richard Dashut or Christine McVie.
