Going Through Tapes... Are they needed to post?

I got a vinyl/cassette-to-digital converter for X-Mas! So, I only have a few cassettes left after my disastrous move in 2006. Are these tapes I need to convert and upload?

Brisbane, Australia 03/07/1980
"Sisters Of The Moon" is WILD!!!!!

Sydney, Australia 03/17/1980
This "Sara" is freaking AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!
(Fleetwood Mac was sure in Australia for a long stretch in 1980!)

USF Sun Dome, Tampa, FL 11/07/1987
Just the last few songs.

Radio City Music Hall, NYC 06/17/1998
Wow!!! Great show!!!!

mikebise 12-30-2011 05:13 PM

Wow! Lindsey SCREAMS out "F-ing" something to the Sydney audience!!!!!

Ooh! Says it a few more times!!! :)

mikebise 12-30-2011 05:27 PM

Stevie shrieks out the "Cecilia" lyrics in "Sisters Of The Moon" at the Sydney concert, too!

Well, Stevie did it at several 1980 concerts. I was just surprised that she did it on this one, too. I guess I WILL transfer it!!! :)

Aussie W/Heart 12-31-2011 08:37 AM

Hi Mike, that would be SO awesome to hear Brisbane 1980, Sisters Of The Moon. I regret not seeing them on that particular night:(:( Thanks in Advance:wavey:

mikebise 12-31-2011 10:32 AM

Well, cool!!! I had hundreds and hundreds of concerts on cassette~ makes you wonder how many are out there. All of these shows I got in 1998 from other people, so more people have these out there.

I will transfer and upload them soon. Tonight, though, I'm gonna party like it's 1998! :woohoo:

He is off his rocker for the whole time they are down there it seems. I still can't get over his weirdness in Melbourne.

mikebise 12-31-2011 01:27 PM

Chris, I wanna thank YOU for ALL the great stuff you've shared so graciously!!! THANK YOU!!!

There are TONS more shows on cassette from The Wild Heart and Enchanted, I know~ I used to have them! Like I said before, I had Stevie's 1998 live cover of "Black Velvet" on cassette that Maureen gave me.

I found two songs from a FLAWLESS audience recording of Sydney 1986, but it says 09/26/1986~ is the date correct? I KNOW I had the full show on cassette, because my favourite EVER "Rhiannon" was on it! I'll post those two~ one is "I Can't Wait" where Stevie wails "Blame it on something at first~ BLAME IT ON MY WILD HEART!!! If you want to... to be continued..."

mikebise 12-31-2011 01:36 PM

I mean, I had all these "artsy craftsy" boxes (thank you, Stevie!) that I got in 1995, each held about 20 cassettes, and I had FULL boxes for 1990 AND 1991~ NOW there are, what? THREE shows from each tour maybe?

And The Wild Heart, Tusk, Enchanted, Tango, The Other Side Of The Mirror... SO MANY!!!! I think Rock A Little and Street Angel have survived pretty well intact, but I DID have DALLAS 1994 on cassette back then...

I can't wait to listen to this stuff. Black Velvet is one of my holy grail items! Can you at least describe it for me? Sniff. :o
I don't see a show on the 26th for the RAL tour in Sydney but there are ones for the 24th and 25th. I have always loved mama's wild ad libs from the RAL tour.
Also here's disc 2 from Sydney March 15, 1980:
http://www.mediafire.com/?y0w1k90qj9azub1

I'll go ahead and upload disc one in a little bit. :wavey:

mikebise 12-31-2011 03:50 PM

Happy New Year, Chris! :woohoo:

"Black Velvet" - Maureen threw it at the end of another cassette. Audience recording, not great sound... I remember Stevie doing some great WAILS towards the end. I didn't listen a lot since it was on cassette, and I was already a "CD-snob" in 1998.

I have Maureen's cassette of Stevie's Early Demos ~ NOT Fritz! Javier Pacheco said Fritz NEVER recorded or performed a single song that Stevie wrote. These sound really great ("I Need You" and the rest), but I will compare after I transfer them. They may be the same quality as we already have.

mikebise 12-31-2011 03:54 PM

BTW, wasn't "Black Velvet" performed at a "One Hit Wonders Of The 1990s" concert? Alannah Miles fans don't have a recording of it somewhere?

Weird that Stevie was even there...

mikebise 12-31-2011 03:59 PM

OH! I do have "Rhiannon" from "09/26/1986" or whenever it's from!!!! The sound is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! BEST 1986 Audience sound!!!!!!! Stevie's voice is so loud and CLEAR!!!

"She says, 'Take it away'!"

I only have "Rhiannon" and "I Can't Wait" from this concert, but they are spectacular! In performance and SOUND!!!!! Damn!!! I wish I had the other songs! The sound is unbelievable for an audience boot!

"She says, 'Take it away'!!!!"

mikebise 12-31-2011 04:04 PM

Mystery solved! I think...

These 1986 songs are really from the 09/30/1986 Melbourne show, which I have FULL in horrid quality.

Does anyone have the full concert in the SPECTACULAR quality that I have "I Can't Wait" and "Rhiannon"??? The full show I have is poor sound. But I USED to have all of it in AMAZING sound, like "I Can't Wait" and "Rhiannon". As good or better than Cloaks And Daggers.

justdreamin 12-31-2011 04:15 PM

Is the 1986 Melbourne you have a 2 cd, 2 zip files?
I have those on mediafire, but haven't listened to them as far as I can recall. I have 2 others from Melbourne, 9-29-86 and 10-4-86. They are even smaller files and I don't know what's on them. I'll be happy to post if you want them.

Thanks for all the music; the time you put into it and for sharing that and your knowledge!!

Happy Happy New Year to you!!

PS. Do you have this one? I just found it on a "boots" blog... let me know if you need it.

I had the Oklahoma City Tusk concert that I taped but my brother borrowed it and lost it. I was devastated for years. The concert was perfect. They had the songs down perfectly by then and I dont think there was a better "Angel" out there. I still have it down in my head LOL I was happy however that "Over and Over" from OKC was put onto the live album.

After reading the ridiculous interview he gave here (he basically, if not outright, called Stevie a racist), I don't know how much stock I'd put into anything Javier Pacheco says, to be quite honest.

mikebise 12-31-2011 06:25 PM

Javier said Stevie recorded her demos with her musician friends, not Fritz.

He's an ego-maniac who had to write ALL of the songs, aside from live covers. Why is it so hard to believe he would refuse to let the band even mess with Stevie's crappy writings?

They're not Fritz demos. Just Stevie & Friends. Stevie has never said they are "Fritz demos". Let go of the past.

I had that on cassette!!!!

But wasn't Stevie's vocal on "Over And Over" overdubbed on Fleetwood Mac Live? She's not on the audience recording.

mikebise 12-31-2011 06:38 PM

Okay, the two songs I have from 09/30/1986 Sydney are AMAZING!!!!!!! I got the poor sound quality show from this site, so does ANYONE have the GREAT sound version of that night???

I will post "I Can't Wait" and "Rhiannon" soon, but they are AS GOOD AS IF NOT BETTER THAN Cloaks And Daggers!!!!

Anyone have the full show in GREAT SOUND????

mikebise 12-31-2011 06:39 PM

OMFG!!!! "Rhiannon" is SO perfect it sounds ALMOST soundboard quality!!!!!!

"You heart knows no answer...
She says, 'Take it away'!"

pryderi 12-31-2011 11:33 PM

Yes, you are absolutely correct. I did not hear Stevie's voice on the "Over and Over" audience recording either. I wondered about that. WOW!

mikebise 01-01-2012 09:20 AM

The songs are great, but Fleetwood Mac Live is a sham. "Dreams" is from the video from 1976, "Rhiannon" from the Rumours Tours...

In regards to her performing, Javier also said that they let Stevie sing a few country tunes that she had written since her voice couldn't handle all the hard rock. Who knows.

Screw him! She probably couldn't handle all the crap he was churning out.

mikebise 01-01-2012 10:04 AM

Fritz did not record her demos.

But if that makes your world spin....
