Stevie and John McVie?
Did anything happen between them at any point in time? I see pictures of them being a little too cozy with each other..

I think it's one of those unsure / probably not / but never confirmed rumours...
|
Get get all hugged up next to eachother sometimes, it's misleading!
|
Don't start rumours! They were likely just close, affectionate friends during those years.
|
As affectionate as a misogynistic drunkard can be with a woman...
|
Oh god! Not this rumour again!!!!!!!

Totally likely that these were the circumstances, right? I believe that they did. |
I've never even thought about the two of them hooking up, but then again, cocaine is a helluva drug! :xoxo:
|
Yeah, I definitely believe they hooked up. What with his drinking and her.. Well.. I won't say promiscuity.. but something like that.

With all the drinking and the cocaine, I'd be surprised if he could, well, get it up. I seem to recall a lengthy Rolling Stone interview back in the late 70's where John even said so much himself. To paraphrase, he said something like, "A little helps, a lot hurts." And he indulged a lot. I like to think they never hooked up. Their closeness and playfulness with each other reminds me more of how a brother and sister would behave. And I don't think Stevie would go there out of respect for Christine. My two cents, that's all.

^To be fair, I think Stevie was probably a lot closer to Christine than she was to Jenny Fleetwood (and any other wives/girlfriends of other guys she had relations with).

I dont like to comment about anybodies relationships. It's not my business.I did not know some of this stuff .

I mean, the tusk photo shoot videos with them being all cozy and what not? C'mon yall. Hopefully they were just really really good friends at that point, cause it's not really Stevie's style to be falling all over her lovers for everyone to see....so maybe that was just some friendly foreplay (but I do think they hooked up at least once). I don't think I've even seer any pictures or videos of Stevie falling all over Lindsey, Don, or Joe which are confirmed lovers...nor any pictures of her and Tom Petty or Wally (other speculated luvas). After I saw that groupies special on VH1 with that chick who claimed she slept with every rock star (including all the FM mens) I kinda figured they were like most guys I've known over the years (Seriously-I'm not hating on them) that would take the opportunity to hook up with a lady if given the chance...I believe John woulda been a one time lover...and I stick to the philosophy that if they are bad in bed..well it just doesn't count. I love the thought of Stevie having many lovers and still being healthy...just lots of loving. Anyways, as Stevie says, you really can't blame it on her, you must blame it on her wild heart. Of course this is all just IMO and for what it's worth, and an opportunity to live in my alternate reality and over think things that are none of my beezness. Don't hate on me. It's just my wild wild heart talking. |
|
I'm sure that's true, but she was still close to Jenny, and she was sleeping with her husband right up under her nose. So, I love Stevie, but I wouldn't put it past her to get with John, too,

John doesn't seem at all like Stevie's type: he's extremely dry, quite irascible by all accounts, taciturn, not at all romantic in outlook (despite his claim that he used to cry watching Chris play "Songbird"), & inclined to spend time in pursuits that Stevie has never expressed any interest in (sailing).
I think they were (or are) just brotherish-sisterish friends--hugely different personalities but psychologically bonded. |

Drunk? Well, yeah, if he was in a giggling drunk, rather than mean drunk mood. Michele |
Back in the late '80's, an acquaintance of mine walked in on her husband and Stevie at a party in Santa Barbara. They are no longer married...;)

She did say she was better off without him, and "Stevie" wasn't the reason they divorced...just the icing on the cake:rolleyes: *It actually made me sad:( I love Stevie, it put a *little* damper on my night of admiration* |
