New Years Resolutions....
Anyone make them? I'm terrible, I can't think of one New Years resolution that I've kept.
I've decided that in 2012 I'm going to try and make a real effort to improve my work/life balance. Work really has taken over for me in 2011. I also need to eat healthier - but that's never gonna happen  How about you guys? |
The only resolution I can make it to try and be the best version of myself that I can be. That in my case means to work even harder on my work if I want that elusive A grade I've never seen before. And, if I'm honest, I'd like to start writing again. I miss that.

This may seem flippant, though it's not meant to.
New Year's resolutions are stupid. They set people up for failure and disappointment right from the start. Just make good choices all year long instead; it's easier, more consistent and helps develop good habits instead of trying to change various aspects of your life all in day and then failing and giving up. My two cents. |
To maintain my resolve with weight/eating healthy.
And just to be the best, most positive me, that I can be. |

I don't have a resolution... other than this: I hope 2012 is better than 2011.
This year has been what I consider the darkest year of my life since I lost my dad. I mean nothing has gone right for me, and I've had enough! Bring on 2012 and some good tidings! |

And a better year for everyone else! |
I resolve to make no resolutions this year. :D

Well, I started off this year 75 lbs overweight and I have managed to lose a pathetic 26 lbs!
So my first resolution is to see if I can shift the desired 49 lbs in 2012. And second resolution is to somehow try and meet the elusive LB since my chance was snatched away from me! :distress: |
Here's A good one. I'll try not to kill my brother's girlfriend in her sleep:sorry: Don't ask.
Other that......I have none. Mick |
To cut most heavily processed foods out of my diet (a bit difficult considering I have to eat university food in England) and consequently lose the excess weight I've been fighting against for a long time.
Also, to stop basing my happiness on my relationship status of the time. |

I see that as an achievement!! :) I don't make resolutions but goals to achieve by the end of the year. 2012 I'm going to whittle away my debt, take a 2 month holiday at the end of the yr to Belgium and be able to run 10km without stopping. |

My list... 1. Become a better guitarist. 2. Be less involved in (care for) NFL Games. That means you Miami! 3. Be healthier. 4. Find more great music. Last but not least... 5. Not gloat so much when BAMA wins the Championship! |

I'm going to focus on taking care of myself this year; my health, my work/family balance, and being a peaceful person.

The simple truth is that a person who is only happy when in a relationship will never find themselves in the right relationship, because they will always be the one who needs the relationship to be happy, and that gives the other person a sickening control over you. Once you decide (and it really is just a simple decision to change the way you think - but you have to believe it) that you are happy on your own, single, alone - because you're awesome and worthy of being desired and loved - because anyone would be lucky to be with you - because if they don't treat you right you'll get up and go - because you're fine being on your own, in fact happy being on your own - only then will the person who is truly loving and worthy of your love come along. |
