Would title would you give if Stevie made a Christimas/Winter album?

The creative possibilities are endless.

The first one that came to mind:

Lines of White Powder

oops...I mistakenly added an extra i to the spelling of Christmas in the thread title, but I can't correct it. Oh well.

Gypsybecca 11-26-2011 10:28 PM

I'll be home for Christmas...In Your Dreams.

LilyRose 11-26-2011 10:43 PM

Snow Angel
Winter Angel
Winter Dreams

You see where I'm going here...

That's not the only mistake you made but since we're friends I'll overlook it. We might have laughed about this over the phone the last time we spoke.

I'll call the album: White Christmas Stevie Style

Macfanforever 11-26-2011 11:45 PM

I just drove back from Vegas and I'm sooo tired that all my suggestions are horridly stupid. All I can think of is Crystal Snowflake Dreams. LOL.

A Very Enchanted Nicksmas

darklinensuit 11-27-2011 12:59 AM

I’d call the album “In the Middle of a Snow Dream” or “Like Some Christmas Angel”.

Some track suggestions: (Wasn't there an old thread about this?)

God Rest Ye, Merry Buckingham

Deck the Halls with Sharon Celani

Silent Night, Hole in My Nose

Mele Kalikimaker of Birds

The Not-So-Little Drummer Boy Mick

O Little Town of Paradise Valley

Do You Hear What I Hear? (Or Do I Need to Adjust This Clunky Black Box at My Waist?)

O Stand Back All Ye Faithful

- Jake

StreetAngel86 11-27-2011 03:20 AM

"And so this is Nicksmas" :D

Thanks, this actually made me laugh OUT LOUD. The Mick song is great because it has so many possible interpretations.....;)

darklinensuit 11-27-2011 01:12 PM

I think the Nicksmas title that someone suggested is probably the most sensible.

More tracks:

Joy to All the Beautiful Worlds

Carol of Mick’s Wooden Balls

Platforms We Have Worn on High

Hark, You Be My Silver Spring

Good King Waddy Wachtel

Have a Holly Jolly Crimped Mass of Blond Hair

Do They Know It’s Night of a Thousand Stevies At All

So This Is Klonopin

We Wish You a Lucky Edgewalk

Rupert the Grey-Haired Producer

I Saw Mommy Kissing All the Members of Fleetwood Mac and The Eagles

Have Yourself a Brand New Margi Kent Dress

My apologies to all the Stevie ex-lovers and musicians who got left out. I think those are just about all the Christmas songs I know (other than "Frosty the Snowman", which I hate because of that awful animated special).:D

Where's the "Like" button for this? : )

starshine 11-27-2011 01:32 PM

I'd like a Christmas cd as long as there is no other recording of Silent Night again. Stevie there are 'other' Christmas songs to be sung OK. Please. Like Blue Christmas etc. So many great songs. Though it won't happent like the demos/outtakes/extended versions. Coffee table photo book . So many options but it won't happen. Bums me out. IMO anyway.

Gypsybecca 11-27-2011 02:18 PM

What a fun thread. Jake you're killing me....more, please.

Sometimes I wished I could have fallen for another singer or band more than Stevie or FM because then I might have multiple albums(almost everyone but them) and books of poetry and dozens of tours where different songs are performed each night (Springsteen) and photos and recordings are encouraged(The Greatful Dead) and shows are no less than 3 hours long.(Springsteen and The Dead)

PolishStevieFan 11-28-2011 03:50 AM

Ever since I heard Stevie singing "Silent Night" I have been wanting her to record christmas album. My dad always says that this is the best version of this carol that he's ever heard. And I know that Stevie has got potential to record a magical christmas album which could be entitled "Welsh Witch Christmas Songbook":) Of course it would be great to hear her self-written Christmas songs but on the other hand I can't imagine Christmas album without these carols:
-"Joy To The World" (done in a country style)
-"O Holy Night" (just Stevie, piano and violin)
-"Silent Night" (of course)
-"White Christmas"
-"Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!" (in a rock version)
-"All I Want From Christmas Is You" (why not? Great song and wrapped around Stevie's voice could be even better)
-Happy Christmas (War is Over) (Stevie, acoustic guitar, some flutes and fiddles...)
