At first I wasn't sure if I was happy or sad but now I'm excited, fingers crossed for some UK tour dates? Pretty please :p

gypsy4life 10-28-2011 02:22 PM

Excited!!!!

WildHearted 10-28-2011 02:42 PM

Good, more time for me to save up $$$ for whatever FM does in 2013

I think the movies will get made when pigs fly, but I'll be happy to see what else she does with IYD. I hope the UKer's get a tour, that would be amazing for you guys.

Also, if they're not rushing into anything with FM.. maybe we can get an album out of them, too.

wheart 10-28-2011 02:48 PM

I just emitted a loud giggle from my desk...not to worry...nobody pays much attention to me at work anyway

Seriously, though...this is frickin fantastic news!!!!! Probably not so much if you're more a FM fan but I couldn't be happier!

I agree. I wasn't remotely thrilled about another FM tour UNLESS it involved a new record! This actually gives FM more time to do a final record if they choose. supposing Stevie stops her IYD activity next summer....goes into the studio w the Mac in the fall/winter (LB probably would have some new material by then , as well as Stevie) and record and BAM! New album & Tour Summer 2013! That's my dream at least.

jellyman10 10-28-2011 03:07 PM

**waggles fingers hypnotically whilst intoning 'come to scotland, coooooome to scotlaaaaaaaand'**

Do you think she will? I do. I do think she will. She will.

hopefully that's in the back of FM's minds as well. The timeline makes perfect sense!

That's what I'm hoping. Stevie needs to tour the UK!

Macfanforever 10-28-2011 05:01 PM

Wow great news

Wow great news,I had a feeling she was going to extend the IYD promotion. But not so good news for the FM fans themselves.I hope she will do an organized tour .Not a quick last minute throw together tour.In the meantime Stevie and Lindsey can preplan and write new tunes for the FM record in the meantime and maybe give Dave or Ken a call to produce it.
Also maybe the dumb f^%kh&ads in radio will play her new cd for once a year later. Also this will give her time to promote the DVD too.

Who will place bets on the Rhiannon movie and the Ladybug and Goldfish actually coming to fruition??

I hope so, but besides wishful dreaming (about a FM record & tour in 2013), 2012 offers so many uncertainties! I'm sure "they" took all that & more under advisement as well. For one, It's going to be a crazy presidential election year  ...and with all this political AND social unrest I'm sure they (FM) or Stevie's team read the tea leaves & knew potentially FM could easily get lost in the shuffle or just plain lose . Not to mention, that there are so many ppl still struggling financially & the world economy/stock market is such a roller-coaster, NOTHING now is stable, and it's not looking good next year. :distress:

SapphireSister 10-28-2011 05:41 PM

FYI I will always choose Stevie solo over FM...

Me too!! For me that especially became more true after hearing & having IYD and comparing that to SYW. I would however be excited to see FM work with an outside producer, even if it's not Dave, but it looks like it Dave or the highway... as far as that goes.

as a lindsey fan dropping in here, i am happy we got some clarity on next year's plans and very much agree with you all - i will always take lindsey solo over FM:]. so i'm really hoping he adds another leg to his SWS tour as has been rumored among his fans.

and i seem to be in minority, but i like the idea of DS producing next FM CD.

plus i LOVE seeing this current stage of lovey-doveyness in LB / SN relationship and how they keep talking about each other in such nice friendly terms - hope that keeps up through eventual new FM CD and tour.

Figures. The world comes to an end on December 21, 2012 and Fleetwood Mac plans for 2013. Typical.

Good! I thought 2012 was rushing too fast. 2012 FM to me meant touring with no new record. If FM is coming back it needs to be with a new record, imo. And IYD needs more time to spread it's energy!!!

 it's hard to keep up anymore with all these times when the world is supposed to end...

Artemis 10-28-2011 06:37 PM

Anyone else think they want to make their record in 2013 so they can capitalise on the "ten years since their last album" thing, like Stevie did with IYD? It's probably an incredibly cynical view, but it's one I can't help but have.

Although, I really hope Stevie comes to the UK. That would make my year.

Now that is funny!

I greet this news with a little excitement and a little disappointment....If stevie is sayig 2013...in "Stevie time" that is really 2014 or later...I love IYD and i'm glad she continues to push for it's success but I was hoping for some new music before 2014....God knows that Stevie has gone on every TV show (except for Cops & TeleTubbies) to sell this cd....other than touring what can she do? I get soooooo frustrated how long Stevie/FM takes between projects...:(

.

This is Fleetwood Mac we're talking about here .If they start a record in 2013 it will not be finsihed in 2013.

mylittledemon 10-28-2011 07:04 PM

Honestly? I'm truly at the point where I don't care if they tour again. I want them to do another record, or some kind of project that has a bit more life in it. Rework some of the old songs and do an MTV unplugged thing or something.

So true. The world ending has been revolving in society since the 60's.

When pigs fly. I can't believe, after all these years, she still thinks she's going to produce these projects. The only way it will happen is if she gets some serious talent behind them, and a lot of financial backing.

I don't believe either project has advanced in development beyond her dreams. Goldfish and Ladybug, which is now inexplicably termed the Ladybug and Goldfish, in demo form, is nothing but a mediocre, childish song.

UnwindedDreams 10-28-2011 08:05 PM

what city is this radio station in? i hope she tours europe for you all. i'm sure she'll be back in north america as well. maybe december-winter in north america then spring in europe.

She's literally been talking about them for over 30 years. If they haven't gotten made by now...

I guess it's admirable that she hasn't given up hope. /brightside

I just look at it as one of those endearing Stevie things, like wearing boots on a treadmill or thinking living in a castle in Wales with her ex-boyfriend is a great idea. Oh, Stephanie!

Very true. Gotta love her for the little quirks.

This & I think she just wants the reporter to think she has more substance than just being a musical star.

APerfectLie 10-28-2011 11:51 PM

This is good news, but I am not getting my hopes up at all. Just a few months ago she was unsure of whether she would even do a US tour for IYD! Now she is carrying it out into next SUMMER?! I assume she will come back after Australia and take a break until next year. Then do some more casinos and west coast shows in March and April, which will probably coincide with the release of her DVD. By then plans for Fleetwood Mac may be completely different.

PolishStevieFan 10-29-2011 03:06 AM

It's great to hear that she wants to promote "In Your Dreams" a little bit longer. I hope that her record label will support her efforts and "In Your Dreams" will be back on Billboard charts again. I wonder what they will choose for further singles. Will she take into consideration any of our choices:)? Personally, I'm waiting for the title track and "New Orleans" to be released as singles with high-budget videos :)

jellyman10 10-29-2011 03:12 AM

The most exciting thing is that she looks and sounds vital and rejuvenated. I also think that's where a lot of the burbling about all these projects comes from. When an artist gets a new lease on life, everything seems possible! Not to mention awareness of time running short. I think hanging with Dave, and seeing how much he packs in, has rubbed off a little.

darklinensuit 10-29-2011 03:14 AM

I'm betting we'll get that "Wide Sargasso Sea" single & video after all.

Great post and I think you're right. Seeing her just last week i can say she's still riding high on the energy of this album ...I'm sure fellow ledgies who were
there can concur.

Being in Australia next month is bound to keep her IYD energy going too.

Good, I am not the only one that noticed the flip in the name. I always thought Goldfish came first in the title.

tothegypsy 10-30-2011 11:15 AM

Someone needs to suggest to them that 2012 is the perfect year for a Buckingham Nicks tour, promoting the CD release of Buckingham Nicks, and both of their recent solo albums.
