"for what it's worth" & "rhiannon". there is a lot of banter included with both.

Fiver 10-20-2011 04:43 AM

Wow. Thank you!

*piano riff starts*

"... I am gonna need my glasses."

mezzoforte 10-20-2011 06:03 AM

Dying. Why did I miss this? Time to drop out of school, I think, and just follow Stevie around officially.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for recording!

Amlyn 10-20-2011 06:11 AM

That was so beautiful. I could listen to that for days!!

Thank you for bringing the magic from one very special night to all of us!
:]

AWomanWithAPast 10-20-2011 06:12 AM

Those are awesome, thank you SO much!

CADreaming 10-20-2011 06:19 AM

Thanks for sharing these!

Josh2003 10-20-2011 06:31 AM

Wow...loved hearing "Moonlight." As soon as those notes stated, it just sounded like I was listening to one of the many "LFTM" demos I've loved for year.

Thank you for sharing!

TrueFaith77 10-20-2011 07:09 AM

If Stevie still did singles, this would be a humdinger of a b-side.

It says on youtube: This video is unlisted. Only those with the link can see it. Learn more

Dani, when are you gonna use your magical powers of influence to get this person to provide you with the link?

Listening to this (demo) gave me the chills. Her voice pretty much matches those great Bella Donna demos from long ago.

What was the actual date of this recording?

enchanted 10-20-2011 10:08 AM

WOW!!!! Moonlight was PRICELESS!! Thank you so very much!!!!!!!! Stevie should put out a CD of just her and the piano....this raw Stevie is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!:xoxo::]

Huh? This isn't a demo. It's a recording from the grammy show yesterday.

"Unlisted" just means that you can't search for it on youtube, I.E. you have to be linked to it (as we were all linked by Fireflies). There is no video, only audio, so we're seeing all that was recorded.

Correct me if I've misunderstood.

I know it's not a demo but it sounds like a demo. Believe it or not, I wasn't sure if it was recorded yesterday or last week because I haven't read that thread yet. As for youtube, it implies there is audio for anyone to listen to and video for those with a secret link.

Holy crap. That's the richest I've heard her voice sound in a long time. Amazing.

How incredible for those of you that were there.

poetinmyheart 10-20-2011 12:46 PM

Oh dear god, just when I think I can't love Stevie any more than I already do....

jkmaletic 10-20-2011 01:08 PM

Any way you could put these two on youtube? Pretty please?? I couldn't get them to download. :(

Here's an mp3 of just Moonlight from the Grammy Museum lecture.

Stevie Nicks - Moonlight (Live, voice & piano).mp3 (15.42 mb)
http://www.mediafire.com/?fjgjp0a6gm337cm

Stevie did two sessions for high school students yesterday - there's a story on the front page of Billboard.com. She also mentioned there's a possibility that all of the songs recorded for Rumours that didn't make the final cut could still be released.

She also did impressions of Christine and Lindsey.

MariaA37 10-20-2011 05:12 PM

I was just going to ask if someone could make an mp3 of this. Thanks so much.

~Maria

Did she mention what those songs were? I know Think About It and Planets of the Universe were two of them. Aren't they re-releasing Rumours again? I can't understand why they wouldn't put the rest of the unreleased songs on that.

Oh my God , this is so beautiful. I just closed my eyes and listened to it. I had tears and a smile. I could listen to this forever. She is ageing so graceful and beautiful.

PenguinHead 10-20-2011 09:29 PM

Excuse me for being a techological idiot, but how can I download these files? I download the "setup," yet apparently I'm clearly at a loss for what to do next. Please, can anyone explain it in child-like terms?

TerraRhiannon 10-21-2011 01:22 AM

Wow! Just Stevie and the piano, I actually pray to find videos like these, they are so comforting. If she put out an album of just her playing the piano etc, like someone else said, it would be a real hit. I love listening to her piano playing, I always fall asleep to Rhiannon from, Storytellers, I think it is. Just beautiful! So glad she did this at the Grammy Museaum

ragrsrocalot 10-21-2011 10:40 AM

PenguinHead, the word "idiot" is really strong. I'm sure there are other things you can do that are amazing, so don't worry about not being able to download an mp3. It took me a freakin' year to figure out Twitter. And I work on a computer! LOL!

Go click on the mediafire link. http://www.mediafire.com/?fjgjp0a6gm337cm

In the middle of the page you'll see a yellowish box. Click on the words "Click here to start download from MediaFire" It may take a few moments for that link to appear once the page loads so if you don't see it right away, just give it a few moment.

That's really all you need to do. It should automatically start downloading. You shouldn't have to download any other things. You may get a separate window that pops up with some advertisement, just exit it. Good luck. :)

SapphireSister 10-21-2011 11:27 AM

I just listened to this for the first time since hearing it live and it stills moves me to tears. I was so close I could taste her lol. God is she powerful! She really takes the phrase "you can consume all the beauty in the room" to a whole new level. I got this feeling that I've never had before at a live show of realizing how truly connected Stevie is to her music. I think sometimes we (or at least I do) get so caught up in the hype and drama associated with Stevie that we forget what a talented singer/songwriter she truly is and how that it really at the core of her entire being. That's what drives her, that's who she is, that's what she lives and breathes for. We should all be so lucky to have such a driving force/passion in our lives. There were no big speakers or background noise or reverb. Just Stevie - raw, uncut, real. I still can't shake the feeling I had when I witnessed this exquisite moment. Obviously nothing compares to being there but having this to relive the experience over and over again is something I will forever cherish.

i would love that, or an acoustic album!

I died. I'm dead. Here's me...not living. I can't believe this!!!

THIS is Lady From The Mountain - that stark piano demo that we fell in love with eons ago - evolved. With wisdom and with so much beauty than ever before.

I have no idea how I'm typing this - having died and all...

THANK YOU for this!!! My weekend has been made. How about everyone else? Life is good!

My thoughts exactly. Life is grand. I've been listening to this back-to-back with the album version for two days straight. Nothing else. Just Moonlight.

Everything is Moonlight and nothing hurts.

SapphireSister 10-21-2011 03:21 PM

I CANNOT stop thinking about this song/performance. It's so good to know others are just as obsessed as I am. It's going to be hard to listen to the studio version after this experience. I was never as in love with LFTM as some are. I always liked it a lot and thought it was beautiful but never did it have the effect on me that it's currently having. A true love affair....

Question - does anyone get the visual from the Twilight move of them running through the forest when you hear the chorus?

Stevie - are you really real?

Stevie needs to go back into the studio, with just a piano and guitar and make another CD. Old songs, new songs...don't really care. It would be epic!

Sorry for being redudant...didn't bother to read other posts...
