Atlanta Roll Call
So who is going? My husband and I will be there and a meet up before the show would be great! Should be plenty of places being that its in the heart of downtown. And if you are still looking for tickets, I went to EmpireTickets.com (a broker in Atlanta) and got 2 5th row seats dead center for $55 a piece. Below face value! Last time I checked there were 2 of those left and then 2 more 5th row for $59 a piece.
Hope to see you all soon! |
I'll be there with my best friend! no clue where my seats are, i'll have to check.
|
I have a question about the seating chart if anyone can help. According to the charts I have looked at there is no indication of a "pit". But I have seen tickets online and seen some posts on FB that people have rows AA BB and CC. Anyone know anthing about this so called pit?

If anyone needs a single front row ticket for this show, PM me. I'm not going to be able to attend, so I'll give someone a great deal on it.

But lets keep it General Admission Lindsey. So much better IMO. I wish he could have played the Tabernacle instead. Oh well, what can you do?! |
I'll be there, but I have to work till 5. Usually what I like to do is get there early and wait around the buses/load in area to see if I can catch Lindsey coming in for sound check. Last time when he played Variety Playhouse he stopped briefly and signed his new CD (that had only came out a few days earlier) for me. That was a thrill!! This time I want a pic taken with him. Hey, I can dream can't I? I have never been to this theater before so I don't know the set-up, but he makes himself more available on his solo tours so there is a chance. If you tell me what you are wearing I will be on the look-out for you. I will probably have my OOC tour shirt on. :wavey:
|
Not sure what I will be wearing but I'll figure it out soon. I was looking at maybe somewhere to meet up before the show and I found this place right down the street called Tap. But I don't live downtown so any suggestions of somewhere laid back where we could grab a cold one would be nice.

Actually, I have been there for brunch a few times recently and it's a pretty nice place. The food is good. I don't spend much time in that area, but it's like you said, it's right downtown so there are a lot of places close by to hang out at. I'm not sure about parking though but I am supercalifragilisticexpialidociously excited. :blob2::blob2::blob2: |
The W Hotel on 14th has a bar in it too but the drinks are more high-end (expensive).
|
I'll be there. Can't wait! I think I'm 3rd row.

Bar?
Does anyone know if there's a bar in the venue?

You suck! How did I no know about the pit?! Big misreprensation on TM's part and the venue. But 8th row is still good. I just wanted to stroke the Turner again...;-)
|
See you in Atlanta tonight!
I'll be there! Row BB on left side of the Pit, right in the middle of the left side of that row. Can't wait, I'm so excited for the show!!!
If you're near there, come up and say hello! How to recognize me: 40-something, brown/grey hair, 5-8, rectangular eyewear, black t-shirt and jeans. |
Oh, and any final decisions about what bar people are going to before the show?!
|
No clue yet. Just hang out around the venue and hopefully meet Lindsey. :D
I'll be in a blue top with a blouse under that that has blue, green dots. Long brown hair and I'm 5' 10" so its hard to miss me. And I'll be with my husband, also in a blue shirt. See you guys there! |
My husband and I are a Tap down the street. We have a table.
|
Getting ready to rock. There is no middle aisle so no stage charging. Nice venue but maybe too nice. Bunch of fuddy duds! Oh well we will see. And CADreaming if you are reading this stand up! I must meet you. :)

Just got home. Helluva show! Pretty good audience but the 7th row was half empty. But from start to finish it was full of energy and couldn't have asked for a better show. All the new stuff was great and you could have heard a pin drop during Seeds We Sow. A highlight for me was All My Sorrows. Such a great piece for the whole band.
But after the show we waited out back with about 10 other people. Lindsey came out and went straight into a van. No pics, no autographs, not even a wave. But oh well. I did get my cd signed by Brett and Neale by the tour bus and got 2 kisses from Brett. Great bunch of guys! Great to meet up again with Nancy, Kristin and to meet Tiff. :D |

Had a great time, but it was bizarre that there was like no one in our row. Awesomeshow though. Brought a friend who really enjoyed it and said he loved Illumination. |

Ha!
Lindsey just never seems to be ready for a picture with fans, does he? He's like Earl Hickey from My Name is Earl with his eyes closed in every shot. LOL!
Great pic, regardless. Looks like a lot of our fan photos will be Cool Lindsey in the sunglasses. Yep, there were quite a few empty seats in Clearwater and I'm sure it was due to the brokers not having sold them. That or people decided not to go? A hint for those wanting to meet LB: The absolute best time to meet Lindsey is not AFTER the show, but BEFORE, when they arrive for soundcheck. He's not exhausted from the show and it's daytime, so no flashes in his face. |
Yeah I figured before would have been better but we got to the venue and was parking probably right when he got there. It's ok, there will be other opportunities. And I was standing out back with you SoulDrifter. I'm the one that had the extra sharpie. I'll post my pics either tonight or tomorrow.

There are 16 photos here:
http://www.musicnewsnashville.com/li...-in-atlanta-ga Music News Nashville Former member of Fleetwood Mac and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Lindsey Buckingham made a stop in Atlanta on his Seeds We Sow Tour and performed his solo hits as well as material from his days with Fleetwood Mac for enthusiastic fans at the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Hall. Buckingham performed a full acoustic set with just a guitar before being joined onstage by his band. Music News Nashville was on hand at the concert to capture photos of the evening. http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/n...eorgia2011.jpg |

The crowd only really got into it for GYOW. And, it was a pain in the butt sitting after every song -- we would give him an ovation at the end of almost every song and then it was right back down again. I felt like I was a jack in the box. Ridiculous. Anyway, I was glad to see him again and hear the live SWS songs. I just hate it was at that venue. It would have been so much better at Center Stage or Variety Playhouse. Oh, but seeing the solo for ISA from my vantage point was an amazing experience even if my dream of strumming the guitar during GYOW remains elusive. Sigh. |

But I agree with what you said about perfect rendentions. Everything was so great. Very tight and the sound there was amazing! Yeah it sucked big time sitting after almost every song. The girl next to me only stood for the very last song and thats because her boyfriend insisted. And did you see who was sitting front row center? Like a 65 year old grandma. I wonder if that hurts his ego? My husband said, yeah that must suck to look out now and see a bunch of old farts instead of some hot 20 something year old. :o Also, I can't remember which song but the lady in the front on Neale's side with the long blonde hair almost got a size 8 Lindsey boot to the face. From what I saw he came really close to knocking her out. And I did get big surprise when I met Neale. I had no idea he was I guess British. At first I thought he was just pretending. But we had fun and its great that my husband and I love the same music and he enjoys it just as much as I do. We had a great date night. I just wish all of them could have Lindsey in it. |

But this guy had on a black button down. So I guess it wasn't you. |
^ I think the reason for all of the elderly is because they have season passes to the Atlanta Symphony.
It was definitely kind of bizarre. I mean, of course it's going to be mostly like middle-aged I guess, but there was a lot of, literally elderly people.. I probably saw all of you guys but had no clue who you were :/. My friend and I hung out by the buses until they drove off. Neale and Brett were so friendly and nice. |
Were you in the back when we were waiting on them to come out? There were two younger girls behind me. Did you have on those shorter black boots? And speaking of Brett calling you baby, he does like the younger women as does Neale.

I'm almost 63 years old and will be front row center for two of Lindsey's SoCal shows. I find your observations about the other fans in the audience, even if said in jest, are totally uncalled for and extremely hurtful. It's not about who was in the audience but who is on the stage. Carol-Lynn SoCalGal:lol: |
Well, I understand there are going to be older people in the audience. Time makes you bolder, children get older and we are all getting older too :D But my husband was just thinking out loud by what he said.
And as for me, I'm just jealous. I hope when you go to your shows though you take full advantage of your front row seats and not just sit there and do nothing. Last night Lindsey talked about change and we were just wondering if seeing "older" people in the audience makes him more aware of his own mortality. Not meant to hurt feelings, so put away the tissues. |
