Someone on Twitter said that he ended with Treason and Seeds we Sow. If he cut TIO, I won't love, hate, or laugh...I'll cry. :p

That new intro Lindsey does for NGBA is so beautiful. It reminds me of the opening and ending music from the movie The Deer Hunter.

it was a great show last night. the crowd was really into it but they didnt stand until go your own way. everybody around me was standing except for this one lady behind me so she yelled at me to sit down which annoyed me. when lindsey put his guitar down for people to play a big group of us just ran up to the stage and stayed there the rest of the time. the security guy tried to get us to sit back down but everybody ignored him and he went away. ha ha! lindsey said we were the best crowd on the tour but he probably says that every show! i really am liking the new songs from the cd. i think illumination and stars go crazy are my two new favorites!

Well your post was right, he did end with Treason and Seeds We Sow, but Turn it on was the first encore song. Also someone jumped up and grabbed the setlist off of the stage at the end of the show and got mugged by security.

Lori40 09-21-2011 04:58 PM

Someone in Minneapolis tried to take what appeared to be the set list in front of Lindsey, and security got it back. It wasn't the set list, though, he had the lyrics to Turn It On typed out on that paper. Lindsey's set list was kind of hidden behind his monitor, and I have that.
(I didn't even ask for it, one of his guys, dressed too nicely to be a roadie, just pulled it off of the floor and walked over to hand it to me. He also gave my sons Brett's picks.)

Right before he said his final good night, he stood at the mic for a minute made a thinking face and then yelled "Pittsburgh, good night!"

Lori40 09-22-2011 09:48 AM

The Minneapolis show was only the 4th one on this tour, and TIO may have been a last minute addition, so I think it's understandable that he may need a "cheat sheet".

I am surprised. Because I didn't see a teleprompter and never saw him looking down, I thought he didn't need lyrics. In fact, I was very impressed that he knew all of his new songs without lyrics. Guess he is just more subtle about his cheat sheets. He probably has the words to Go Your Own Way written in his hand!

Well, I'm impressed he could read from a distant sheet of paper. I know he wears contacts, but some times when people hold up signs in the audience, I have thought he couldn't read them. So, good to know he can.

That's funny. It's actually easier to remember lyrics than what city you're in on a tour like that, I can imagine.

I remember during the Dance tour, twice I saw him start a song out of sequence. The one time, Stevie went to Christine and whispered to her and then Christine said something out loud to Lindsey and he laughed. Then, the next night he did it again and he said, "I did that last night too, didn't I?"
