I agree!

These are all superb songs though.

Sadly, I had to go with SOTM and Rhiannon. Just don't like the studio versions as much as the live ones, but still awesome songs.

I think GDW has held up in concert better than any other Rumours song of Stevie's. It still sounds fresh after all these years and it is still evolving. I pay much more attention to it than I do to Dreams in concert.

But on the album, well, I think GDW is somewhat inferior to the others.

Sara, because although it is incredibly beautiful, as is the bulk of the FM/Stevie work, it never really stood out for me, I never listened to it on repeat for hours upon hours.
Landslide, for no real reason at all.

KarmaContestant 09-15-2011 05:33 PM

Rhiannon.....and Sara.

Gyah that was hard!

Silver Springs 09-15-2011 05:37 PM

Silver Springs? Seriously? Sad day. My name sake is saddened, lol. I voted for Landslide, because it's been performed to death. And Sisters Of The Moon, because I never really took to it as a song. I love the ethereal nature of the title, but that's probably the be all and end all of my love.

darklinensuit 09-15-2011 06:15 PM

Of course, there are no weak songs on this list.
I went with SOTM (much better live - seems somehow muted on the album) and "Dreams" (just not my favorite melody out of the above choices).

How anyone could vote Sara off is beyond me...that's in my top three songs of all time. I voted for Storms and Sisters of the Moon...I almost voted for Landslide, but then I listened to it and I couldn't, haha. It's so timeless.

Agreed. Sara is my all time favorite FM song.

I cannot vote anymore. This is too awful.

MacFan92 09-15-2011 08:56 PM

I'm shocked at all the voting for "Dreams". I voted for Landslide and Sisters. Don't care for the studio version of Landslide and I'm not too fond of Sisters for that matter either.

Blueletter18 09-15-2011 09:49 PM

Yeah, it seems like all of Stevie's Tusk songs are much better live, as well as the Rumours songs.

I do not think this is true for "Sara", "Storms", or "Dreams". The album tracks are masterpieces that have not been matched (though "Sara" sounded good on the Tusk Tour).

Landslide and Dreams. I never cared much for Landslide and Dreams although a great song, I've heard it too many times.

porkpie 09-16-2011 12:45 PM

Just noticed this thread - WHO voted out Angel??! I love all the Tusk tracks (except maybe Beautiful Child).

markolas 09-16-2011 02:26 PM

Rhiannon (again) and Landslide. Like I say, I never cared for the studio version of Rhiannon, and I'm not crazy about the studio version of Landslide either.
