As much as I hate Family Man......Teen Beat gets it.

Teen Beat all the way for me. It's fine but I never choose to listen to it.

Red Rover is one of the very best songs Lindsey's ever done. I'm a bit bummed it got to this round :(

Three lovely songs here. Teen Beat is the least lovely however!!

Granted that these three are here via ballot, but to the human ear, there are a few WORSE Buckingham songs than the three up for voting.

Two come to mind right off the top of my head:

Studio version of "Not That Funny"
"Oh Diane"

I still can't fathom how Oh Diane didn't win the Mirage poll. :shrug:

I voted for "Red Rover". Although I do think that the guitar work on it is cool in a couple of parts, the vocal & chorus drive me up the wall. I've always disliked "Family Man" & would probably vote it out against any other Lindsey song that I can think of, but it is still better than RR because it does have an undeniable energy, if nothing else (though it is by no means catchy).

I too was surprised about Oh Diane not making in further in this contest.

On Lindsey's Mirage songs, Oh Diane got 15 votes while Empire State won with 22 votes.

Family Man is okay, and I think Red Rover is greatness.

I LOVE "Family Man" and "Red Rover" -- those are actually two of my favorite Lindsey FM songs ever.

So Teen Beat is the winner of least favorite Lindsey song and will move on in the contest to the "Least Favorite Rumours Era Song" poll in a few days.

Since Family Man is an album winner for Tango in the Night, it already moves to the "Least Favorite Rumours Era Song" poll.

Now for Say You Will, Red Rover lost to Silver Girl for least favorite song from Say You Will , and since it lost here, it is out of the contest. :cool:

I can't believe Red Rover is even on here. It's magnificent.

I understand why Teen Beat "won," but it is so obviously an unfinished song the Mac threw out solely to have something "new" from their former member in a shamelessly mercenary move to attract buyers for their boxed set that it doesn't seem quite fair to put it next to the others.

On the the other hand, Lindsey apparently thought so highly of the dazzling "Family Man" that it was included on the VERY BEST OF FLEETWOOD MAC. What the hell??

Family Man's lyrics are staggeringly insipid. "I am what I am, am what I am, am what I am, am what I am... a FAMILY MAN!" In case you're too stupid to understand that profound statement, Lindsey clarifies: "Mother. Father. Brother. Mother. Father. Brother." Why, thank you, Lindsey. Let's not forget the insightful lyrics of the verses that boast such original phrases as "Don't know what's wrong, but I do know what's right" and such eloquent tributes to the human spirit as "I fall down. I get up."

If that inane song was truly one of their "very best" they would be one crappy group.

But that reminds me of Loving Cup and so that makes me feel kind of tender about the words. Trite or no.
