Jay Leno - Thursday 7/28/11
|
Thanks for the info!
|
Nice!! It seems like she hasn't been on his show in some time...unless I just missed it. Guess she'll sing FWIW being that it's the new single.

Or Rhiannon. I think if she chooses from In Your Dreams, Moonlight, Annabel Lee, or Ghosts Are Gone the viewers will really dig her. I think she'll play For What It's Worth though.
|
Thats great.thanks for the heads up.Letterman probably next.
|
Good to hear she'll be on Leno. I'm hoping for In Your Dreams, Annabel Lee or Moonlight.
|
Hopefully she will do FWIW being its the new "single'. However, I really believe You May Be The One should have been the second single....that chorus screams hit!
|
Yes!!! I love that Stevie is going to support this album...its fantastic....I bet we get Dave Letterman, Jimmy Falon and the Today Show now!!! You're a determined lady!!!
|
Finally doing some tv press! I'm not a fan of Leno, but I will suffer through for Stevie.

Looking forward to it

I so wish she'd step out of the box and do Annabel Lee. She seriously needs to rock out again on TV and that song would just be killer~!

she probably will do Secret Love would be nice to do For What It's worth or Annabell Lee would be nice I think. She needs to go country I think to sell records she is so ready to do country. But please no landslide for a while. Will be watching hope she will do letterman too when she comes to the New York Area.
|
I'm betting it's FWIW, with a slim-to-none chance of "Soldier's Angel" (I don't see her doing it without Lindsey).
"Wide Sargasso Sea" would be my choice, though - it rocks & is interesting. Given enough time, "Moonlight" would also be interesting. I'd also love "New Orleans" or YMBTO just because she sounds great on them, but of course she won't do any of these on Leno. Surely she'll do FWIW, wear black, and go wild with her hands but not her feet. Stevie's risk-taking days went out with the coke. - Jake |
yes and no landslide there is no reason not to do a new song she should do For What It's Worth I think and hope she does Annabel Lee and Moonlight or maybe Ghosts Are Gone would be awesome its an awesome cd hope she will get a nomination next year for a grammy and hope she will win deserves it on this cd she is awesome on the whole cd it just rocks and mama needs to let loose on Leno Ghosts Are Gone would be awesome for her to do.

Hum .I never heard the "Secret Love" tune on the radio.Must be word of mouth.

It's just a little unfair to Stevie to say "Secret Love" was such a failure and a bomb when it really wasn't. It was quite successful, even though a lot of fans weren't thrilled that it was the lead single. |

As for why she stopped...Presumably it started with Epstein-Barr, & the Klonopin/weight gain couldn't have helped. Once she sobered up, I'm sure the risks of falling down or into the audience became clearer. She had a hip problem on the SYW Tour & who knows what other problems she has had as she has aged (we know she says her back acts up from the Edgewalk). Additionally, she can move faster on the Frankenboks (I almost fell over when she started her "Stand Back" spin at an early SYW show, she had not moved that fast since RAL), but fans raised a stink that she was not in the boots. - Jake |

I just read that there is to be a new movie about Edgar Allan Poe. http://popwatch.ew.com/2011/07/22/jo...con/?hpt=hp_t2 Director John McTeigue and the stars of The Raven, John Cusack, Alice Eve, and Luke Evans, debuted the film’s first trailer for the fans of Hall H today. Cusack plays Edgar Allan Poe in a fictionalized account of the author’s last five days alive, in which he must help track down a serial killer inspired by Poe’s writings. “He was a bit of a rock star in his day,” Cusack said of the charismatic writer. “He definitely was the godfather of goth.” The dark and moody trailer definitely brought the goth, including plenty of dead and mutilated bodies, and — of course — screeching ravens. “It’s an art movie and a popcorn movie all at once,” Cusack said during the panel (moderated by EW’s Anthony Breznican). And for all you Poe fans, Cusack had no problem answering which works by the author are his top five: the short story “Hop-Frog,” the poem “The Raven,” “The Cask of Amontillado,” “The Tell-Tale Heart,” and “The Pit and the Pendulum.” The Raven will be in theaters March 9. ----------- There's lots written about Poe--obviously this movie is not based on historical records about the man, but if you are interested in Poe, you might find this interesting: http://www.eapoe.org/papers/misc1851/18570300.htm including this: "Not long before his death he was cruelly beaten, blow upon blow, by a ruffian who knew of no better mode of avenging supposed injuries. It is well known that a brain fever followed — that he left New York precipitately — that he reached Baltimore, the city of his nativity, and there died on the fourth of October, 1849."
