Did Chicago Get Dropped?

Just noticed on lindseybuckingham.com that Chicago is not listed. Was it listed before and dropped or is it just a typo error?

sodascouts 06-17-2011 09:45 PM

It was listed before... and it's gone now. What's up with that??

Haunted_Song 06-18-2011 10:09 AM

I've been wondering about this, too. I hope it wasn't dropped. :(

MacMan 06-18-2011 12:36 PM

Palm Springs is gone as well.

sodascouts 06-18-2011 05:25 PM

But Chicago loves Lindsey! He always sells well in the Windy City. Surely he wouldn't drop it.

Erin 06-18-2011 05:35 PM

I'm wondering if there is a problem with the venue. The Vic never listed him. He may end up at another venue. I doubt he would skip such a major market. Keeping my fingers crossed!

DavidMn 06-19-2011 02:33 AM

It does seem odd. BUt I find it hard to believe the date was dropped completely. I'm guessing it will show up again soon.

DavidMn 06-19-2011 04:50 PM

Here's another thing to consider. When the first shows were announced, Boston was up, then dissapeared for a couple weeks before returning.

wondergirl9847 06-19-2011 08:43 PM

Wierd, but hey, the Dallas show is still not showing up on lists, is it? I think they are just working out all the kinks to everything. They've been putting stuff up on Ticketmaster and taking it down like crazy (i.e. The meet and greet for MN and the weird Houston skip the line/VIP thing).

Don't worry everyone! I'm sure it will be put back up there. :D

DavidMn 06-25-2011 12:27 PM

Not that this means anything, but I have seen the Vic website add a couple shows the last few days. Maybe our man is next!

LngPrmsdRd 06-27-2011 01:21 PM

Serious weirdness going on with this tour!!! Chicago disappears, Dallas never shows up, NYC is MIA... Yet the NJ show went on sale a bit early, end of the day Thursday the 23rd instead of Friday morning. ???

I think "problem with the venue" might be kind of likely though. I noticed on the Vic website, they are associated with Park West, where he played in '06. That was an EFFING AWFUL venue with equally awful security (ahem...Christy? lol), and I'm wondering if they were having problems working with them too? Who knows... They didn't seem impressed with the Park West.

But yeah, I'm wondering if venue problems aren't the issue in NYC also. At least new shows are being added to the Vic website--that's a positive sign! And if all else fails...if Chicago, which as Nancy said *loves* Lindsey, falls through, you *know* there will be a second leg! He wouldn't skip such a huge market completely.

Dates Removed

All concert dates have been removed from lindseybuckingham.com. This does not appear good. Why would you remove all reference to venues and links to get tickets, unless there were some cancellations that he wanted to minimize in some way?

nothing has been removed. You just have to click the 6.13.2011 icon and it comes up.

Another thing I was thinking was that why can't someone come out and say if this show is happening or not? I mean if it's off whatever official page, someone make a statement saying the show isn't happening. Same thing with Palm Springs. The uncertainty is whats really frustrating.

I seriously doubt that the Palm Springs show was actually cancelled. I think the venue (The McCallum Theatre) made them take it down as "individual" ticketing for the venue's "subscription" shows does not start until September 14th. Right now they are only selling "subscription" ticketing for the 2011-2012 season. The venue uses Tickets.com and there are no show listed for the venue all at-period. So far, Lindsey is not part of any "subscription" series. I'm assuming tickets won't go on sale for that show until mid-August or September.

Also the show is not in Palm Springs but Palm Desert a town about 15 miles east of Palm Springs.

I knew my telepathic thoughts would work! Lindsey's show just now came up on the Vic theater website and tickets go on sale July 16th at 10AM! I didnt see a price for tickets and I don't know if it's going to be on TM or just sold thru the venue but I wanted to get this out there as quickly as possible! YAY!!!:blob1::blob2: OH BTW the show is on Sunday September 18th at 7:30 P.M.

Erin 07-13-2011 05:43 PM

Yay! I'm glad you got the word out. It's going to be a busy weekend in mid-September!

The show is general admission.:)

DavidMn 07-14-2011 01:49 PM

Ok, a little more info for those that are interested. I called the Vic box office and found out tickets are $56 each, and that the entire venue for the show is general admission. However, there will be seats, including on the floor, they will just be first come, first serve. One more thing, the show IS NOT on Ticketmaster, it is being sold through a site called Etix.com.:)
