Wow! That's really cool!

porkpie 07-13-2011 03:25 PM

Yeah, it could even be a hit. I wonder if the "smiling" rather than smile is intentional or a mistake.

I can't detect whether the vocal is from one of the outtakes or the Say You Will version.

AnthonyMI 07-13-2011 05:23 PM

Defiantly the "non-angry" version. Tusk era demo?

This is kind of how I think the Say You Will version could have sounded....

I love it when I hear Stevie's music through someone else ears...fun!

bellagypsy79 07-13-2011 10:03 PM

I liked it but that siren noise is a little much for me.

Phoenixgypsy 07-14-2011 12:49 AM

I'm loving this! Anyway to download it so I can play it in my iPod?

GarboSpeaks! 07-14-2011 03:00 AM

That siren does come in a bit loud, but bet it sounds so great in a club. Who are these people?! Such talent. Amazing to pull just the right bits, and mix them in. Wish I had a knack for that!

porkpie 07-14-2011 04:34 AM

I've got a download but at work, if u google it as mp3 it should come up. They have also done a grea remix of Kate Bush's Clouding. Will post links later

porkpie 07-14-2011 12:23 PM

Here's a link to download the track

I totally agree. I keep listening to it over and over and it's beginning to not be so bad. But when I'm on the treadmil working out is the best time to hear it./ Btw, have there been other remixes of "Smile At You"? This is by far my favorite Stevie song ever and I just wondered if there were other remixes of it?

This remix is actually almost 2 years old.

Theres a pretty cool re-edit remix of Frozen Love there too.

Scroll down past the streaming posts to the list, right click and save as to d/l.

It is an old remix but it's only now getting an official release to purchase

mikebise 07-15-2011 09:04 AM

Stevie gave them permission to sell it?

Bandon 07-15-2011 10:33 AM

I know it's a dance remix, but this is sooo much better than the SYW version. It's spookier!

SuiteShangriLa 07-15-2011 11:11 AM

Who would purchase it when you can d/l it online for free ...for the past 2 years??

porkpie 07-15-2011 11:15 AM

Um, dj's who play vinyl in clubs....(it's being released on vinyl)

I get that. I was a dj in clubs.

But they have a legal right to SELL a new remix of an unreleased Stevie Nicks recording? Warner Bros. gave them the promotional okay?

SapphireSister 07-15-2011 12:15 PM

Really good but the sirens make it almost un-listenable...

SapphireSister 07-15-2011 12:40 PM

Go to remix pt. 2 thread and see the last 2 I posted (Brown Eyes and Edge). Amazingly good!

well that makes sense.
but im from the Cleveland area. ive never seen a dj use vinyl. :(
and i dont know any dj who would ever play a SN song.
I went to a club in Columbus right around the time the Planets remixes were big.
I asked the dj if he would play it...he rolled his eyes and chuckled
and told me "no. that song is like so 3 months ago."
Ohio is lame!

I've been on the ledge for a while and this is the first time I've ever used the thumbs down it's nothing personal it's just This has been out for a really long time. I was hoping this would be something new. I've never liked smile at you any of the versions but I hope it does well in the club if it is released. But I also wonder how and why it would be commercially released 2 years later. Especially if it is un official

and from what i understand, after reading the comment on the soundcloud page, its already being played in clubs in NYC and "the girls and gays go crazy for it" ?
so apparently its already released, and being played?
