New hilarious radio interview with Denis Walter

"All we ever did was sit in the back seat and make out, and it wasn't much." stevie.

"That's the different between a poet and someone who just writes rhymes"... Ouch.

The link doesn't seem to lead anywhere for me, just to logo or something? Can you maybe put it up again?

Great interview, thanks for posting! Was she trying to say she's a poet and Lindsey is just someone who makes rhymes? Huh. Love how she calls the interviewer "Honey" at the end. I guess when you become a woman of a certain age you can get away with that and no one thinks you're trying to pick them up ; )

^^^ Actually, if it's working for others, then it might be because I'm in the wrong territory or something? It's fine - just those little comments piqued my interest! So, who was she making out with and on the back seat of what?

That's the problem with Cheaper Than Free. It's just rhyming. Nothing poetic about it.

I had to use a different browser to load it. I usually use Google chrome, but it didn't work for me so I used Firefox and it loaded. Something about a plugin, I'm not sure.

They asked what she thought about young songwriters and like their inspirations and emotions in songs or something, like whether it could be taken seriously. So she started talking about the first song she ever wrote and her first boyfriend/love interest or whoever that kid was - the star quarterback, etc. She said something like, "Nothing ever happened between us, all we ever did was sit in the back seat and make-out, and it wasn't much.. but I was just as in love with him as I have been with anyone since, and I think without that experience I may never have written a song.." (something of that nature, not verbatim)

I just thank god every day that they sequenced it where they did, because I've usually switched the album back to the start again during Italian Summer. In fact, I think I've only heard CTF all the way through once.

Thank you so much, WildHearted! :xoxo: I'll try Firefox.

Absolutely. The lyrics are truly dire.

I do the same thing. It's also the only track from the album that I haven't put on my iPod. I still say My Heart should be on all editions and get rid of Cheaper Than Free althogether. Luckily it's at the end so it doesn't ruin such a wonderful album.

"I think the young heart is as passionate as any heart." I liked that.

It's true. Nice placement at the end like that. Thank Stevie for her sequencing talents:lol:. Michele

I think the young heart is more passionate than any heart, it's just that the world doesn't take it as seriously. And they called it puppy love . . .

"It's a crush, you'll get over it," everyone says, but teenagers are the last people you should be saying this to, when they are the most likely to feel things in life and death proportions, having no world experience to help put emotions in context, perspective and priority.

To me, young passion is bigger than most passions. The only difference is that it is less likely to last than other passions. It's not taken seriously by society and, so many things willl come after it, that it is regulated to something distant in your life and your memories, almost unconnected to the older person you become. Yet, it probably does as much to shape that person than anything that happens 20 years later will.
