UK Tour Dates

Just a little heads up, it was confirmed today by Karen that Stevie will be doing a solo gig in Manchester in November. More info will follow shortly, I'm sure :) :)

Silver Springs 06-27-2011 06:14 PM

Manchester is simple to get to. May may may be able to go (think of it as a consolation prize for my lack of Lindsey related tour goodness) if I can release some funds. My Mother said she'd go with me to gigs close to home, but I'm too mad at her to want her to come with me at the moment.

YEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gypsy-Rhiannon 06-28-2011 05:16 AM

I won't believe it until I have a ticket in hand.

Gypsy-Rhiannon 06-28-2011 05:19 AM

Sorry to be pessimistic...lol...but it's been said before and then never happened. To me confirmation is when dates are up and tickets can be purchased :-p

Phil Lee 06-28-2011 06:24 AM

I'll be there.

The lady in front of me asked the same thing, and Stevie told her that a possible UK show was one of the reasons she wanted to do the signing, just to see if there was an audience and people who would want to come. Judging by the amount of people who showed up yesterday, I think it's a definite possibility.

I'm with Max on this one - after the reception she got at Hard Rock Calling and the turn out to the signing, hopefully this means that she's realised what a following she has in the UK. The crowd was going nuts for her on Sunday, and fans had been outside HMV since 8am on Monday waiting for her.

Stevie wanting it and it actually happening are two different things though. She's often spoken of her desire to come tour here again. But fingers crossed it does happen this time.

steve.uk 06-28-2011 08:18 AM

Oh God, Please let this be true....................Please!

poetinmyheart 06-28-2011 11:09 AM

I am praying for UK shows.....she has to tour here. Come on Stevie!!!

Dodfather 06-28-2011 12:14 PM

This HAS to be true!!! YESSSSSSS!!!!!!! Right, now I'm gonna make sure I am on EVERY Mailing lost so Iknow exactly WHEN tickets go on sale. I'm there!! Between every mailing list and The Ledge, I'll have my ticket for my first EVER Stevie solo gig!!

helensg 06-28-2011 06:51 PM

Hi all, was at the HMV signing and also asked her about a proper tour (think most people did!!!). She said that she would hopefully be back in the Autumn and that she had had a fab reception from London. I told her she should do the Albert Hall as it would be amazing!! She said 'Really? Would I fill it?' Told her she would fill it 10 times over...so if she announces thats where she is playing I will pat myself on the back!!!

The Albert Hall would be wonderful for her, I also told her that we all hoped she'll be coming back and she said ' Oh yes we will definitely be coming back'

I take this as you saying you're going to be there. After seeing her on Loose Women, I probably will be too. If it's not like 6 billion quid for a ticket.

I just had to google what a "quid" was. I'm going to make such an ass out of myself in the UK

But yes, I am 95% sure that I'll be there! I met my offer at Durham so now, we just need to get confirmation from the loan people and it's all done!

Ahhhh, welcome to the beauracratic nightmare of Higher Education. Top Tip: University Registry offices are universally useless!

It's all so exciting though. Hurrah for Dani!

RickRobert 06-29-2011 12:06 PM

MISLEADING TITLE but good news :blob2: Hope it won't cost an arm and a leg to go, I'm gonna be skint enough this autumn as it is... bloody video games!!

Doesn't Albert Hall only have a capacity of about 5000 or so?? Of course you'd fill it, Stevie!!! This just goes to show how much she underestimates her fanbase here... we'd have that place sold out in minutes!

Shepherds Bush Empire would be a great venue too, really intimate. And anywhere up north... like my front room!

She's always underestimated her fanbase and I can never understand why. It's wound me up SO much over the years!

Well its about time! She managed in 1989 and played Birminham and London allbeit on the back of Rooms On Fire but I dont understand why she doesnt think she can sell a show. It seems a common topic at the moment. The Fleetwood Mac shows here have found a resurgence of fans new and old so I would have thought that and the reception she has had in the uk would clear that up. Is it the financial logostics or the risk? 22 years between shows is a long gap!

RickRobert 06-30-2011 12:42 PM

Let's say there was a hypothetical Cardiff date, would any Ledgies other than me be there?

I'd be at as many shows as possible, taking every opportunity offered! I used to live in Cardiff and still have friends there, so it would def be a show I'd go to.

Gypsy-Rhiannon 06-30-2011 03:57 PM

I would go to as many as possible too..though life of a single parent has it's limitations! :p

I'd go to Cardiff if it was during term time.

wild-heart 09-04-2011 04:30 PM

UK tour?

Sorry if this has been asked before.. but are we ever going to get a UK tour to go with this album? or will we just get her with the next fleetwood mac tour? It would be lovely if she did a couple of gigs around the UK!

poetinmyheart 09-04-2011 05:28 PM

It's looking less and less likely now, which I'm really sad about. I would love her to do some dates here. June was such a great month for UK Stevie fans... the signing, HRC, all the press. I want a repeat! Oh what a weekend that was!

It sucks i missed it all with college & everything i would of still tried to go but i don't live in London. She still has an awful lot of support over here (Hard Rock proved that) but like you said i do think the tour is looking less likely for us now which is sad :( Stevie is always so full of suprises though so maybe (i can dream) that she will spring some dates on us.
