London album signing - 27th June

Stevie is doing a signing at HMV Oxford Circus on the evening of Monday 27th. To say I am excited is an understatement!

I'm missing this by 6 days. FML.

GarboSpeaks! 06-20-2011 12:13 PM

I'm missing this by birth thru current living location. fMYl. lol.
Seriously, I guess I can see why no No/So locale signing. It'd be a mad house. Not that NY wasn't, and that London won't be as well, but to do her first signing east coast, and now another overseas is CRAZY, however, I am flippin ecstatic for you all. It'll be a hell of a once in a lifetime experience! Lots o'pics please and a full story/experience!!

Maxd9 06-20-2011 12:31 PM

Oh.My. GOD.
What do I say? What do I wear??

I know! This will take some planning. I fear that I won't be able to form a sentence or worse, I'll just burst into tears. My friend may have to speak for me haha

Maxd9 06-20-2011 12:35 PM

Oh no! I hadn't even thought about crying. If I break down in front of Stevie, I will never forgive myself.

If I Were You 06-20-2011 12:36 PM

I'm thrilled for all you UK fans. I would love to be at this album signing. When I lived in London, I remember visiting HMV Oxford Circus, which was where I purchased my TISL CD a day before it was released in the States. I look forward to reading about your experience.

I'm gonna stick to my safe topic - Hard Rock Calling the day before! If I go off on a tangent I fear I will reveal my inner Stevie fangirl which she may find a little scary

Gypsy-Rhiannon 06-20-2011 12:50 PM

Oooooh!! :blob2:

Maxd9 06-20-2011 12:52 PM

This is going to be the BEST weekend ever!!
Hard Rock Calling on Sunday, and then meeting her on Monday??
I need to take a walk or something. I'm gonna pass out if I stay here. :blob2:

Haha I know, it's almost criminal. It's Stevie week :]

TheWILDheart 06-20-2011 01:10 PM

GOD DAMNIT

I'll be 200 miles away by then. FML.

lvhlive! 06-20-2011 02:37 PM

Oh em gee. This cannot be real! I had it in my mind that she'd be on a plane Monday morning back to L.A., so this is a big surprise! Wondering how fan signings work. How many hours before the start do you have to get there? Panicking at the thought that I'll turn up and it will already be full or something horrendous like that...

Thinking exactly the same, my office is about half hour away by foot, 5 mins tube, however cannot leave till half four, five-ish

poetinmyheart 06-20-2011 02:48 PM

I'm worried too. It says on the event page it's running from 6 - 6.30. Erm...that's not very long! Surely she won't leave if there are still people waiting and they've bought the album?? Am hoping HMV put that time slot while they're sounding out numbers. There's quite alot of buzz about it on tumblr, twitter etc. I'm not sure how early I can get there. Argh, the panic.

lvhlive! 06-20-2011 03:23 PM

Let's just all panic! I think this UNUSUAL situation calls for it. Never did I EVER picture myself going down the road to HMV and MEETING Stevie Nicks! It's blowing my miiinndd!!!

If I Were You 06-20-2011 03:47 PM

I say all you UK Ledgies take the day off and make it a Stevie day. Go to the signing then to the pub afterwards to toast the event. There are a lot of good pubs in the area.

She will make you feel comfortable. :)She is very disarming and has a fantastic aura. I am so excited for you all of you

Maxd9 06-20-2011 04:22 PM

I work in a branch of HMV (the Oxford store), and I'm really tempted to ask if I can transfer for the day and help staff the event. I don't know if that would make sense at all, or if it would just be better to go like everyone else. I'm starting to panic too!

Thanks :xoxo: I'm only freaking out because I came to terms with the fact that, living in the UK, I would never get a chance to meet Stevie. Now that this event is planned, I can't believe that it's actually going to happen.

MacMan 06-20-2011 07:03 PM

Wow.... Happy for all in the UK that get to participate in this... What a great opportunity.. Should be fun!

Gypsy-Rhiannon 06-21-2011 02:31 AM

Ok...so does anyone know what time we should get there to start queuing?? I would hate to organise things (single parent..not easy) and then get turned away as the queue is too long....

fringed n fab 06-21-2011 04:58 AM

I wonder if her and Christine ever get together and catch up whenever she's over there visiting?

BigLee770 06-21-2011 05:40 AM

Well for those who are lucky enough to get to meet Stevie, can you please ask/inform her that we UK fans would like to see a couple of dates over in Britain and Ireland after the US leg of the tour is over.... - Would be much appreciated.

The way I see it, if she knows there's interest, it might become more of a possibility...

poetinmyheart 06-21-2011 12:27 PM

I can't get there until 4.15ish. I'm hoping that'll be ok? There's quite alot of buzz about it on tumblr/twitter/facebook. I feel panic at the prospect of getting there and not meeting her!

TheWILDheart 06-23-2011 01:34 PM

I just spent a large amount of money that I don't have booking another train ticket so I could be at this. Whoops.

I could almost hear your english accent with that last sentence - so cute. :p

Get there as early as you can and have fun. Talking to Stevie fans in line will be fun.

yes she does I agree had my moment at the barnes and noble signing in Union Square NYC the best night of life I cherish that night never though I would ever meet her and I did and so happy for the fans of london to have that same experience I hope she does more of these signings would be awesome.

Gypsy-Rhiannon 06-24-2011 09:27 AM

Does she personalise the cd's or just sign her name?

Songbird4 06-24-2011 10:31 PM

In NYC, she only signed her name. B&N was pushing everyone through the line pretty quick, but she made a good effort to have a chat with each individual. She also arrived early, my guess is because there was such a big turnout.

Hope you all have a fantastic time!!

UnwindedDreams 06-25-2011 06:54 AM

in new york, she did put an initial "J" for my name. just ask her kindly.
