This reminds me of how much I love love love Bootylicious! And to see Stevie rocking out to it is just plain fabulous. She should have been in the video more! Too bad 90% of the people who liked this song when it came out had no idea that riff was from ours truly.

SapphireSister 04-13-2010 03:30 PM

Best part of the Bootylicious clip: 1:05-1:08. Rock out girlfriend! Stevie knows all about the boo-tay-licisous! I can't stop watching this over and over lol.

I'd appreciate it if you made the YouTube boxes for embeding the next size up. With my vision, they look like a bunch of dancing ants.

geesh, he's just trying to show off his undies i think

What entertains me the most is that he's a muscular, tattooed, backwards baseball cap wearing man, but he clearly loves him some Stevie Nicks and isn't afraid to admit it. Girl's got quite the fan base.

Timothy White's "ROCKSTARS" interview with Stevie.
Stevie recites the very first song she wrote, talks about the writing/recording of the song Seven Wonders, the Betty Ford Clinic, Lindsey, the new Fleetwood Mac, and the duet 'Are You Mine?' that she recorded with Billy Burnette in 1985.

Thanks for posting, I enjoyed this interview. I don't like Are You Mine, never have and to be honest I hate the whole time period of FM with Rick and Billy but that's for another thread.

An after thought: Stevie really got the **** end of the stick on the TITN album as far as I'm concerned. First of all, she only had 3 songs and should have had 4 and out of the three the two that she write were mediocre at best and she didn't even write the 3rd one that became a hit (Seven Wonders). Why didn't they include one of her fabulous RAL outtakes? That being said TINT was a fabulous and successful album but not due to Stevie. Big Love, Everywhere, and Little Lies are the gems of this album and classic FM. I am a huge Seven Wonders fan like I said but I can't truly love it the way I would if she had written it. Anyone else have thoughts on Stevie and TITN?

I think the problem here was that Stevie was not "all there", physically and mentally, due to her addiction to cocaine followed by klonopin. She took a more active role very late in the production of TITN after her release from the Betty Ford clinic. It's a shame as she had a fair number of demos with greater potential. Perhaps she wanted to hold those for her next solo project.

As far as what was produced for TITN, I would have dropped "-" and added "+" a few of the tracks ( b-side swaps) as follows:

+"You and I, Part I"
"Big Love"
"Seven Wonders"
"Everywhere"
"Caroline"
"Tango in the Night"

+"Ricky"
"Mystified"
"Little Lies"
-"Family Man"
-"Welcome to the Room... Sara"
"Isn't It Midnight"
-"When I See You Again"
+"Down Endless Street"
"You and I, Part II"

"Book of Miracles" CD bonus track?

It does appear to give short-shrift to Stevie but Christine and Lindsey were really at the top of their game at this period and this track listing would have made a great album even better.

I had a youtube channel, then the channel was 86'd when the WBR went nutz on Lindsey's channel, etc. I created another channel with the FM/LINDSEY/STEVIE videos avail for private viewing only. I also have another channel set up for TAKU to utilize videos on his myspace, webpage, etc.

Is there something you are seeking specifically, or just curious?

IMHO they should have added Juliet to TITN. The FM demo for Tango is superior to what ended up on Other Side of the Mirror.

UndoingTheLaces 05-07-2011 04:00 AM

I love the guy in the underwear video. And I love that the background is Stevie, Stevie, Stevie, Stevie, Jessica Lange in Francis.

What, exactly, is he trying to say?

UndoingTheLaces 05-07-2011 04:12 AM

What was THIS from? It's titled "Stevie Nicks - Public Service Announcement". Is it just that I'm up too late and sleep deprived, or is this just really ****in' weird?

I've had this on audio for years and it's always been labeled "Children Go On Poem". I believe the reason someone posted this as a psa was to make fun of Stevie because it was obviously recorded during the klonopin years. Very mean-spirited. I have always loved hearing her recite these words and often wonder what this was really for. Shocker, it makes me cry!

Per our conversation, this is the video I thought you were talking about. Looks like I was right. She is wearing black and yellow like I thought.

I agree. Her songs on TITN were very lackluster (with the exception of "Seven Wonders" which she didn't write). What RAL out-takes do you think would have fit well on TITN?
