NYC Show (Town Hall)

It's a little odd that the venue has still not listed this show! Has anyone heard or seen any other info about it regarding on sale times? I might stop by in person later today and see if they will tell me anything because I am nervous I am going to miss the on sale!

bucklind17 06-18-2011 03:50 PM

Nevermind, saw on the site that it goes on sale next Friday, the 24th.

Eugene 06-19-2011 05:28 AM

More than likely there will be a presale on Wednesday or Thursday.

hey which site did you see this? the townhall site says a bunch of nothing in their event calendar.

TrueFaith77 06-21-2011 04:34 PM

any word on the presale info?

bucklind17 06-21-2011 09:36 PM

Lindsey's site says they are on sale on 6/24. The show still isn't listed on Town Hall's site or Ticketmaster, so I'm guessing there isn't a pre-sale?

Eugene 06-23-2011 04:06 PM

Still nothing on TM or Town Hall website...fingers crossed for tomorrow.

I know, it's weird! Is it just going to show up on TM tomorrow? There's a lot of shows that still aren't on TM but I think that's mostly because not all venues use TM. It seems Town Hall does, so it's really bizarre.

TrueFaith77 06-23-2011 08:27 PM

where is town hall website

macmar71 06-24-2011 09:09 AM

it's after 10am and still nothing on any of the sites i.e. his, TM or Town Hall! WTF!!!:(

TrueFaith77 06-24-2011 01:01 PM

weird that nyc of all places would be f'd up

LngPrmsdRd 06-24-2011 05:58 PM

I have emailed the venue and gotten no response, called the recorded hotline which still lists shows from March, and called NYC Ticketmaster which handles the Town Hall's tickets, which has no record of a scheduled performance by him.

@Nickslive emailed them the other day and they apparently confirmed he is playing there... I guess this venue is just really not on the ball??? Very odd and worrying! I'm at a loss as to who else I can ask, lol, so guess I will wait and see.

maybe i'm just jinxed.

fumidesigns 06-24-2011 07:00 PM

i'm truly disgusted!!!!!! i wanna see lindsey!!!!

Regina 06-24-2011 08:03 PM

Well, I do have a theory. They announce these things by season and give their supporters first crack at tickets. So, maybe, those are the tickets going on sale as of today. And us peons have to wait another week or so?

I'm not thrilled about it, either. But, I guess if I forked over thousands, I'd want first crack at something, too;-)

(Hopefully, they don't know or care who he is and leave those tickets alone).

LngPrmsdRd 06-24-2011 09:06 PM

Regina, good point... That sounds like the Hamilton, ON show on the Gift of Screws tour. Brutal. All of the center section was reserved for members (or just given to season ticket holders whether they knew/cared who he was or not...grr), they sat there the whole evening, and the few real fans able to get tickets were relegated to the side sections! The member sale/ticket-giving had already happened when the "presale" took place. Maybe Lindsey's site screwed up and listed today as the regular onsale date by mistake, instead of waiting for the "peon" date.

Sucky, but yeah, as you said, I guess they have to get something for their thousands.

(Vote #2 for them not caring and leaving the tickets alone!)

TrueFaith77 06-28-2011 12:00 PM

Any updates? Sorry I'm no help.

ETA: Nothing on ticketmaster. MOst distressingly, on Lindsey's own websites the note for NY show still reads:

9/27/11 New York, NY The Town Hall On Sale 6/24

6/24 been and gone, boo!

bucklind17 06-28-2011 06:07 PM

I'm going to try and walk over on my lunch tomorrow and see if the box office has anything they can tell me. I'll let you know how it goes.

DavidMn 06-29-2011 11:42 PM

On Lindsey's site, it now says tickets go onsale July 15th.

nice. finally now his website has clickable links for various tour dates that take you directly to sites where you can buy tickets... better late than never!

Regina 06-30-2011 07:14 AM

I just looked at his site. I don't see ANY dates on there. A small article about the tour and a video. That's it. Maybe they are updating or something. Or, maybe the website is now being run by Stevie's people;-)

AMEX presale tomorrow

US $38.50 - US $99.50
US $38.50 Ticket + US $10.60 Fees =
US $49.10
US $99.50 Ticket + US $14.30 Fees =
US $113.80

http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/03...1&minorcatid=1

Not interested at that price...Keswick was half the price.

TrueFaith77 07-12-2011 05:26 PM

American Express? How many diff credit cards do i need to be a fan of this band!?

bucklind17 07-12-2011 06:15 PM

I have an Amex card but $116?! I'd really like to get GOOD seats since I've been spoiled with Lindsey shows but I guess I will be going for the cheaper ones, since I was planning on buying one for my friend for her birthday. I didn't even spend that much on FM for one of the MSG shows!

Regina 07-12-2011 08:11 PM

It's Town Hall. Prestige and all that jazz.
I don't think the prices were that much cheaper the last time around (too lazy to look for the old ticket stub).

I didn't go to Town Hall in 2006, but the Nokia show definitely wasn't that expensive. I remember getting second row for around $70. Here's hoping the entire orchestra level isn't the top tier price and maybe they have some VIP section. And if it is, well, I'll be in the balcony this time!

Regina 07-12-2011 08:40 PM

Nokia was definitely cheaper. But, Town Hall has been around since the ice age or something (and it is kept up nicely...much nicer than some Boston landmark theater I went to that had a hole the sized of Texas behind the toilets in the ladies' room and had a handyman come and reassemble some poor woman's seat a few minutes before the concert! That place needed to be torn down!)Anyway, if NYC landmarks can find a way to squeeze more money out of folks...they will!
But, it's a nice venue. Kind of cozy, too.

bucklind17 07-12-2011 08:43 PM

I've been there but I don't remember what the sight lines were like. I'm sure it will be fine, cozy is good when it comes to venues. I know it is used for a lot of high-end events and also relies on ticket prices for funding of their programming, so I'm not so much surprised as a little disappointed. At least I can go to HB Burger before the show.

I know. And I really do wonder what we will be able to get. Because I'm pretty sure the whole delay in selling these things was to offer tickets to members first. But...I guess we'll see.

I'm on vacation and holding up a beach date in order to attempt the pre-sale;-) I'm sure everyone sweating in the car will just love me!

8004923344 always works for me-it's the AMEX GOLD customer service phone number.

bucklind17 07-13-2011 09:04 AM

I was able to purchase Amex tickets without a password. I tried twice and was given Row M in the orchestra both times, so I just went with those, since it is 12th row center. I am fine with that!

Interestingly, the Amex pre-sale tickets were neither of the above listed prices but $83 each (including fees), which is much better than the $116!

Yes. You need an Amex card to complete the purchase. I have more than one card in my profile and the only payment option available when it was time to pay was the Amex card. I would imagine if you don't provide an Amex number for payment, if you don't already have one in your profile, they nullify the order. Maybe my order went through because they already knew I had one? I'm not sure if you can pull up seats without one.
